First of all I'm dismayed to see the older negative reviews based on our perfect experience with them this morning in replacing two commodes in our condo. I was contacted 1/2 hour before the agreed upon appointment, and two plumbers showed up right on time. The whole job took 1-1/2 hours, and the new installations look and work great. Special shout out to Darrel and his apprentice! It's always good to find experienced tradesmen who pay attention to communication, detail, and cleanup.

Had guests visiting and hot water faded out from guest shower. Also a sink in there I could never get to drain properly. Mark and James still got to me that day and did a quick diagnosis. Showed up bright and early the next day and knocked it out. I must say I was impressed with the professionalism and knowledge, even though that's what I was expecting. Would always recommend this company, and especially Mark and James.

The WORST!!!!! I paid them $150+ to snake a drain at a rental of ours. Later found out they never snaked it, just poured some chemicals in. Drain still doesn't drain. I called them back and they said they would come back for 265$ to now snake it!!!!!!! WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. Beware.

My mother used this company several times when I was a teenager. They were always fast, clean and efficient. The company was established in 1924. I see plumbing companies boasting about being here for 50 years. BTSP has been here for 100 years now. That's about 24 years before McDonalds was established. So they must be doing something right. Their prices were equal to or less than their competitors. Some of these bad reviews I've noticed are from people that lack common sense. Like the guy who has a manufactured warranty on his hot water tank that had a faulty part and thought since BTSP put it in that they were supposed to fix it for free. That warranty is for the parts ONLY. It's not the plumbers fault the company who built the tank with a faulty part and will not lose money and time because of it. It's not the customers fault either. Between the customer, the plumber and the manufacturer who had a faulty part, which one do you think should pay to have it fixed? Obviously the manufacturer. This was not the first company we called, but it will always be the last company we called. Meaning, there's no reason to ever call a different company. Because of the plumbing issues we had my mother was able to teach me a valuable lesson that I carry with me and apply every time it is applicable. A company who practices and prides itself on ethics are increasingly rare. Take the time and effort to sift through the mud till you find one that has ethics built into their core values like Joe D. the owner of Billy the Sunshine Plumber and hold onto that company. And I'll save you some money and time by recommending a mechanic who is cut from the same cloth as Joe and that's Chuck the owner of Hoover and Sons mechanic shop on Seminole Blvd in Largo. I gain nothing out of this review other than hoping I give these two deserving companies more business and the satisfaction of saving you all the pains of having to deal with companies who don't think twice about ripping us off. Poor service did not feel it was important to come to my house at 9pm then stated they would be out to service first thing in the morning. I guess their day does not start until 10:30 am because that is when they finally arrived.

Be careful. They cut corners. They quoted us to replace sewer pipes from house to street. We discovered after they finished the job and buried everything that they had only replaced part of the line. They left several feet of the old pipe and refused to come out and fix it even though we had it in writing.

I could not be more impressed. They were at my house in about an hour, completed replacement of a shower valve and fixed a leaky toilet. Total cost was only $122 including parts. Greg was very professional fast and efficient.

If you need a new flapper for your toilet, this is the company for you! If you need anything beyond this...I would not recommend! Had an extremely horrible experience! Due to their negligence, cost us hundreds of dollars in water bills!! They/ didn't listen to us at all, talked over both of us. Came out about 5 times and couldn't figure out how to stop our toilet from running! Turns out it was the fill valve that they installed the first time out that wasn't working properly! I told this plumber several times that it wasn't running before he installed this fill valve! This company is absolutely incompetent, we received no apologies or money off!
