I’m Roy, the newly appointed president of the company. I began my journey with Bill Smith Plumbing as a heating specialist in 1987, and after several years in the field, I transitioned to the office as the general manager. Now, I am the third-generation owner, having begun my career at Bill Smith Plumbing. Like me, many of our plumbers have started at Bill Smith Plumbing and have chosen to stay. The average experience of our plumbers is 16.6 years. Plumbers choose to stay at Bill Smith Plumbing because we encourage them to focus on plumbing, not sales. We prefer it this way.

Brittany B.DJ did a quick, quality job, and fit us in at the end of his day to help us avoid what would have likely been a very expensive repair. (I'm sure it helped that we were on his way home) They do charge what may sound like a high fee just for coming out, but he had our leaky joint fixed in under an hour and a total bill just under $200. Worth it for some peace of mind!
Staff on the phone and in home were prompt and polite. They've been around Denver for decades, and it's easy to see why. I'd recommend the services of Bill Smith Plumbing to anyone who needs a leaky pipe fixed the right way!
While replacing my hot water heating, the plumber went through my metal file cabinets and stole my small fireproof box with wills and some cash in it.
Bill Smith plumbing was a complete rip off . What turned out to be for no reason ended up searching the Internet for all kinds of directions for two hours then they tried to charge me well over $500 to install one toilet which took the plumber maybe an hour they should've been charged me for maybe an hour and a half. never use these people they charge $152 an hour and waste a lot of time.
I used bill smith plumbing and I was not happy with their hourly charges he started to work at 8:10AM and charged me at 8AM also when he finished he went out to his truck to write the bill for 15 minutes and he charged me for that time which is not correct at $190.- an hour plus the $65.- trip charge should be applied to work being done. Also he misdiagnosed the problem the toilet was leaking at the bottom and he replaced the intake valve. I would not use them again.
Nick M.They charged me $100 to come to my house for 15 minutes and tell me the things I already knew needed to be replaced on my boiler unit. Then, they said they would get in touch with me to schedule the work to be done, but no one has. This company is content to charge me $100 for nothing, with no desire to complete the work. It's a complete racket.
MR. LEROY GEORGE YEHLE,
Just wanted to leave my personal experience I had with your company Bill Smith Plumbing & Heating. I am a renter in University Hills who had authority from my landlord to call and set appointment with BSP&H to diagnose our furnace. I confirmed immediately they had my landlords name & number so he could authorize the repair. I also advised her that I (tenant) would be covering any charges. They came out Thursday to check furnace they diagnosed the problem as a bad circuit board. I was advised that day (by the receptionist) over the phone the service trip fee would be around $200 then extra for whatever parts may be needed. I didn't hear from your company again until Tuesday (when my wife & I called), receptionist said they obtained the part for the furnace and would install Wednesday. They Came out, installed the part Wednesday. They then had to return again Friday because furnace still wasn't functioning properly. So now we have another appointment set for Friday. (THE FOURTH TIME)! The receptionist was giving me a hard time about disclosing what charges/bill they just sent over to my landlord even after I advised them on the first call that I would handle the billing! I'm just making sure your company if not getting over on my landlord. I now believe your tech misdiagnosed the issue to begin with. 2 different men arrived Friday. They found something wrong that was completely different then the alleged issue with the circuit board. They said it was the (old analog thermostat) not reading the temp properly and he wasn't sure what exactly was wrong with the circuit board since he wasn't the rep that came out to diagnose. Funny, first rep who diagnosed bad circuit board didn't say anything about the old analog thermostat?? I then called back once they left and everything was finally functioning properly, asked for Roy Yehle and the secretary placed me on hold, she returned to the line and said he was on the phone and she took my name and number said he would return the call today in reference to my concern, he has yet to return my call, it's now 6 days later. If you can't even return my call to prove to me the services you performed were in fact necessary, there's something wrong here. Sorry, my landlord and I won't be using this company any longer. Sincerely, Concerned Customer.
Our boiler furnace went out New Year's Eve and the high temp for New Year's Day is 15. The house went to about 35 degrees overnight. The guy who called us back said it would be a minimum of $500 just to come out to the house ($100 trip charge + roughly $400 to diagnose and repair) and that didn't include parts. He said it was company policy to double all rates on a Holiday. This wouldn't have angered me so much if it weren't for the fact that Bill Smith has historically been very reliable and fair. The first time they fixed our boiler for $77 (trip charge $30 in 2003), the second time was about $150 (trip charge had increased to $45 in 2011). I can understand the need to increase rates on a Holiday but think it's unfair to double them and besides, that's quite a bit more than double. In any case, you just lost a long-time customer as a result.
Tom M.I have had 2 occasions to use Bill Smith plumbing and both of them have been outstanding. Let me preface this by saying I have been a professional home inspector for over 33 years and have inspected the plumbing in over 10,000 homes.
Scott replaced a leaky shower faucet and installed another shower valve. Scott did an excellent job, he is a true professional that does very neat work. I just had Lou fixed 5 natural gas leaks. This involved basically disassembling all the gas pipes, applying new thread compound and reassembling them. They were all perfectly straight, he was super neat, clean. I couldn't believe how fast he got the job done. When he was finished I checked everything with a supersensitive gas detector and there wasn't a leak to be found. He finished the job in one forth the estimated time. Their hourly rate may not be the lowest out there but sometimes you get what you pay for. These both of these jobs were completed in less than 2 hours. I feel I got a bargain with Bill Smith's two plumbers and will continue to use them and recommend them to my clients. Thank you for a job well done.
Had a kitchen plumbing back up while packing up for a move. Help was dispatched within a day, service technicians were curtious and quick.
I called Bill Smith Plumbing & Heating to fix an outdoor faucet. Luther assessed the problem, provided me with an explanation and options. He did a great job without leaving a mess and the cost was very reasonable.
