Rip off....we have a condensate line leak in our attic. The 3/4" line is exposed. The thinking is there is a crack in the PVC or a joint not glued. The tech quoted me $1200 to replace a 10' section on PVC. Find someone else that's not on commission.

RIP OFF!! The company charged $660+ to pull and auger our toilet initially at the end of May. I called a couple months later when there was a leak from the base of my toilet again (which they reset and sealed themselves the first trip) and they GUARANTEED A FREE TRIP unless further repairs were needed to be made, not related to original job. They pulled the toilet, said the concrete needed to be chiseled before they could replace the flange and reset and that it would be $1000 for that and $3850 more if that didn't work to replace the concrete slab. They also said I would need a camera run for $500 and hydro-jetting for $1100. After telling them it was fine and I would figure something else out, they charged me $225 for a diagnostic fee since they hadn't caused the concrete damage under the toilet. The concrete was the same as it was the last time they reset the toilet and there were no new repairs made from the trip. I went to Lowe's and got a new flange and ring and reset the toilet myself for $30, which saved me potentially $4820. It hasn't leaked from the base anymore because that wasn't the problem.
I then called and hired a plumber with Mr. Rooter who investigated the issue, found out there was pipe breakage behind the house and potentially roots that their auger wasn't able to get rid of. He was here for an hour but I paid $0 (would have only been a $29 trip fee and $90 for the augering) since they didn't solve the issue and they're coming back tomorrow with the proper tools to fix at a way lower cost than S&D.
Lesson learned the hard way, call Mr. Rooter instead!

Do NOT use them with anything associated with your insurance. They will refuse to send you the details of your home's issues, and instead, tell you that you have to talk to insurance to get info on your OWN HOME.
Not only did they refuse to give me information about my own home, but they FAILED to diagnose all the issues. I had to bring in another plumber, who discovered more leaks that S&D failed to find.
I was extremely disappointed with their service.

I was charged 400 dollars to have my main line snaked. That took maybe 15 minutes. That was with a 50 off coupon.
The plumber was nice. Not his fault.
He was here about a hour for a "complimentary " service to check out my hot water heater, water pressure etc... of course which o was told all needs work.
If you have money to throw down the toilet. Go for it.
I'm not smiling.

After S& D Plumbers found the cause of my low water pressure which was my new water softener, they found resin & flushed my water lines at each faucet. I had a problem when I called the manufacturer of my new water softener's warranty group. The gentleman wasn't believing it was the cause & wanted photos of the resin that was flushed out. This house is only 2 years old & the water softener is 6 months old so I followed his directions to convince him. I ended up breaking the kitchen faucet & only evidence was a little resin in bottom of toilets. The next day I called S & D again & a young & patient woman named Kyrsten who listened & said the invoice identified the resin so sent me another copy of it. When I called the softener manufacturer back I talked with a reasonable man & he write up the authorization to replace/repair the unit. I chose repair bc a new one was an unknown factor so I'm waiting for the parts to be shipped to me & Winbar Services will repair quickly. Good customer service is extremely important. Thank you S & D & Winbar.

Canceled two appointments and left me sitting here waiting for them. Both times with the same lame excuse.

First off, S&D Plumbing is great. I noticed a leak/standing water in my garage and couldn't find the source.
Technicians from S&D (Jess Shaw and Travis Mosty) came over and were really efficient at finding the problem and did very minimal damage to get at the source. I ended up having a slab leak in my hot water line and they capped the line and gave me a quote with no pressure (plumbing pun?) for immediate follow-up or without an upsell of any kind. They were very happy to help and were all smiles and friendliness from the time they rang the door to the time the job was done.
I did follow-up and get the reroute done by S&D and the technicians (Nick Martinez and Ryan Gardner) were also super friendly and professional. The job was a little harder than expected due to some complications running the line through the ceiling but they took time to explain the work they had done. I had to work from home and they notified me before making cuts to make sure that I wouldn't be disturbed which was honestly a really nice touch. They taped over all holes and took extra time to sweep, dust, vacuum and clean the work areas when done. These guys were superstars.
I didn't experience any upsell other than recommendations for a pressure relief valve due to my house having higher water pressure from the city line. They did recommend a company for water mitigation (WB Arthur) which I have also had a great experience with and I am happy I chose them over my insurance's recommendation for water mitigation.
Overall, I highly recommend S&D Plumbing and have already referred them to neighbors needing to get work done.

My mom used these guys and they charged her almost $800 for an hours worth of worth. I think that was JUST labor and didn't even dig! Not cool...

I made an appointment for a toilet repair and several estimates over two weeks ago and was given an appointment for 5/7/21 between 8:00-12:00. I received a confirmation email and text on 5/6 confirming my appointment time. At 9:45 on 5/7, the day of my appointment, I was contacted by someone asking to reschedule to a week later because "they were behind and people were without hot water since the freeze" (which was mid February). I told them no, that wouldn't work for me since I had taken off work and waited over two weeks for my appointment and I considered my toilet issue just as critical and the other customers should have made appointments sooner. I was told rudely "that rescheduling was all they could do". If they were this far behind nearly three months after the freeze, they should have known that long before confirming my appointment the day before and should have reached out to me in a much friendlier and apologetic manner - not the day of, two hours into my appointment window to cancel. Don't use these guys if you value your time since they obviously don't.

I don't write many reviews, but our experience was so unsatisfactory it seems important to take the time to do so. We had S&D Plumbing out for a camera run because we were concerned that a backflow in our kitchen meant our ancient cast iron plumbing had finally given out.
The very first thing the plumber did, before he even stepped into our house, was try to upsell my husband on some sort of confusing membership service. We regret that we didn't ask him to leave right then.
The plumber ran the camera and couldn't see anything. He did a pigtail run and couldn't figure out with that whether there was a blockage or not. He said there was soil on the other end, and concluded our line had collapsed and we needed to replace it, but didn't actually show this soil to us.
He then mis-measured our house (off by at least 25 ft) and gave us a truly astronomically high estimate (basically a price that said "eff off, we don't want to do this work") for what we already knew to be a very costly service: tunneling and line replacement. He charged us for the (useless) camera run and left us surprised and angry at being treated with this kind of casual contempt.
We had another plumbing company out the next week, for what we thought would be a second tunneling and line replacement estimate. But guess what? Our ancient sewer line is completely fine for the time being. It was just a blockage. Capital City Plumbing had the skill, the time and the effort to clear it for us.
I recommend all readers AVOID S&D based on this experience.
