Business model seems to be based on taking advantage of uninformed consumers. Pricing double of many competitors. Quoted $200 for 5 minute repair. Service dept. says it is the customer's responsibility to do due diligence. Garbage disposer replacement $600. Home Depot quote approximately $300 for comparable product. This review won't affect their business. Doubtful client base does any research. -- looking at other people's experiences I am lucky this sleazy outfit only robbed me of $19.00. I will be sure to keep an eye on my credit card, though.--

BEWARE of this company. You pay a $19.99 service call fee and then get they try and sell you on everything in your home. After a second opinion I saved myself and my senior parents thousands in uneeded replacements.

We have used Best Home Services before. Never again. DO NOT believe their $19.95 anymore. Our $19.95 turned into we HAD to take a contract for $250.00 because that is the way they are doing business now on AC calls. So calls are $250.00 for a contract that they claim they will be back in 6 months to look at. They do not charge you the time they are there to fix a simple job because if that is what they did they could not stay in business. Well this should be explained to customers ahead of time. I did not call them for a maintenance contract. We were bullied by Gordon who is suppose to be an HVAC Training Manager. Still do not understand his bill and what was actually charged for. Giving a bad name to an industry that already has problems with their integrity. This time we did not use a credit card as last time they started charging my credit card monthly. Called them repeatedly to stop these charges but the only way it was corrected was by canceling my card. The credit card had to return my money as Best Home Services never did. I do not think it is even legal for them to store my card information and charge without my signature. Chet M.

STOP BEFORE YOU CALL! I've been in town dealing with a parents death and the AC in house went. Best Home Services came out. They said the unit had a leak in the coil but part was under warranty and proceeded to charge 2100 to just replace a warranties part, so for 3 hours work and about 100 bucks of refrigerant they charged 2100. Two hours later the AC stops working and I call back. They come out next day and say now it's the warrantied compressor that needs to be replaced for 2100 dollars. They could have replaced the unit for that amount of money! Needless to say I was done being fleeced. Beyond disappointed and would tell you find another AC company!

Called to get estimate to clean clogged line from master bath. I wanted a hydro flush which roto-rooter did 4 years ago for $286. Quote to clean 1 line that I knew what was wrong, $1130............ OMG, he wore a mask but I didn't see a gun. Well if you join and pay $15 per month we give you 10% discount on any work. Joining only locks you in to their service at exorbitant prices.... shop around. 8/26/20 UPDATE : Roto Rooter updated price $425, I got it done for $385 being past customer and senior. Charge for 1 line but ran 3 lines to be sure I wouldn't have any problems. Job cost me 1/3 of quote from Best. When you see 3 - 4 whole pages in News-Press about Best, Someone is paying to much to allow all those ads. Didn't see all the 1 star reviews till I wrote this review.

All good until it isn't. Have used them for a few years for all our home needs. Had some electrical work done to install a 30 amp outlet to run our Rv. It did not work properly and we made several calls to the manager, leaving messages with no call back. We refused to pay until the job is corrected (which of course it hasn't since no one has returned our calls) and now they refuse to provide further services. Oh well, lots of other companies out there competing for our business!

They came and gave us an estimate to fix our A/C. It was a lie. The guy bent our fan blade telling us there was even more problems. He said there was a dead rodent in the unit and blood everywhere. Which was also a lie. He wanted $10,161.00 to fix it. Lie. We had another guy out her fixed it in 20 minutes and charged us $180.00. Do not us this company. We will be reporting them to the BBB.

They advertised a special online to unclog any drain for $129. I get a text stating they are on the way. Evidently the technician who's name is Billy Davis tells me he can't do it for that price but for $1120.00 he'd do it. This company is a rip off. Beware.

Had them install a new AC system a little over a year ago, after a few return services the system was running decent. However a little over a year later on the 4th of July weekend we noticed we had no air and called them in on the holiday charge since they were the ones to install. Technician called saying he would be there within the hour... two and a half hours later he finally showed up and diagnosed a bad blower. He told us the part was still under warranty however it was still going to be over $800!! For what?! We lost it after the tech said it was only going to take an hour and a half to replace the part. Apparently they charge around $550 an hour for labor plus a fee for processing the warranty! The techs excuse was having to travel to get the part...We got a second opinion and walked away paying $225 flat with All Day Air! When I'm asked for a recommendation for an AC company the first thing out of my mouth will always be DONT USE BEST! They will rip you off without batting an eye.
