Overcharge at a criminal level.
One of our water heaters is beginning to leak. Fortunately, we have home owner's insurance that will cover a new unit and installation. Unfortunately, they use Best Care who in turn claimed that they MUST do certain things that aren't covered. These extras total $710. Oddly, a coworker of mine used Best Care two months ago to replace his, and they did not sing the same tune. He bought his out of pocket through Home Depot. I am sure that this had something to do with it. Where I was told that they could not use any of the installed plumbing (sight unseen), they made use of all of his without batting an eyelash. (Btw, my home was built in 2003, his was built in '69.)
These extra ""mandatory"" services:
Gas line mods: $150
Water line mods: $100
TP Mods, which consist of a few feet pvc: $95
Drain Pan: $100!!! ($20 at Lowe's)
Disposal: $105 (won't allow you to do)
Permit: $115. (The permit actually costs $15! When called out on the rather substantial markup, they unapologetically stated, ""we have to make money."")
The so-called mods are not only unnecessary, they are WAY overpriced. They would not allow me to waive any of the ""services"", nor supply any of the parts myself.
Because you must work through the insurance company and as a result have very little leverage, they attempt to capitalize - obscenely. Instead of being abused, I opted to accept a much reduced cash payment from the insurance company and will purchase on my own. Sadly, I will still fare much, much better. Instead of getting a builder's grade unit and paying $710 for accessories, I am paying for a high-grade unit and installation for a total of $420 out-of-pocket.
I am not certain what is worse about this company, their overcharging, or how unabashed they are in doing so.
Bottom line: An unethical company.

We have used Best Care for Heating and Cooling solutions. Each time they conducted themselves professionally, and did not exploit the situation. Made the appropriate diagnosis, and quickly restored the quality of life to our home, in regards to our Heating or Cooling needs. Best Care will be our first choice when it comes to Plumbing or HVAC needs!

Horrible horrible horrible. Similar to another review on here ....this co. was sent out by home warranty. They immediately said it was evaporator coil but did not even check the outside unit. Of course they did not have the part had to be ordered. They immediately try to just start selling me a whole new unit. Threatened that it would take weeks to months to get this fixed through the home warranty. Tried to coach me on taking a cash out. It only took that long because it took them almost a week to get the order in...then the home warranty had it shipped to the supply store in town and they refused to go get it so they had to re-ship it directly to their shop. Another week again the delay all due to them then when they finally scheduled it to fix it they came out and said it was the wrong part. I had Freon added to the machine to keep the air running ...miraculously the same day they were there to ""fix it "" but had the wrong part it quit working because they drained all the freon out and lied and said they did not....if it leaked out on its own it would have started freazing the pipe just like before.....In the meantime I had a REAL heat/air contractor evaluate my air-conditioning system they discovered there was a leak outside also. Contacted the warranty co again and they sent out the same horrible people....the young guy they sent was the same one that came the very first time and never even looked at the outside unit. It was obvious he had just gotten in trouble he was furious when he got here he went out and started yanking the equipment off of the AC yanking wires out of the unit....I videotaped the entire thing if they want to dispute this. He finally confirmed that there was also a leak out there. Took them another 4 to 5 days to get this reported. Once they finally got the report I did ask for a cash out from the home warranty company and bought a whole new system with the REAL contractor (Infinity heat and air) that I mentioned earlier...... Run as far away from this company as you can even if you're home warranty tries to send them... BEG for a different contractor!!!

Just had one of the best home visits by a technician in a long time. HVAC Senior Technician Michael Martin arrived on time, quickly assessed the problem and promptly fixed it... in that order. My capacitor was burned out and he had to replace the motor. He didn't dawdle or waste time. His laser-like focus and integrity really impressed me. And my house is already cooling off! Thank you, Michael! I would certainly recommend Best Care Home Services for your HVAC needs.

I had a toilet installed this morning by Devyn. They were supposed to arrive between 10am and 2pm but he called at 9am and was at my home in 10 minutes. I was very grateful not to have to wait all day for them to show up. It took him an hour to take out the old toilet and install the new one. He was extremely professional and did excellent work. He cleaned everything and took away the old toilet. I can't recommend his work highly enough!

Excellent experience with Best Care. Air conditioning went out, of course while practically 100 outside, Best Care was VERY responsive in fixing my outside unit. The technician was very knowledgeable and explained exactly what was wrong, even helped with an issue with my thermostat which was unrelated to the original problem, and gave his personal number in case I had any issues. A week later, had another issue with the unit, but this time indoors, again Best Care was very responsive and identified the issue. He needed to order the part, and got back to us next day, unfortunately we were not available so he came back on a Saturday (His day off) to replace the part. My experience was fantastic with not only the company but the Technician. I will most certainly keep this company in my phone for future issues.

Absolutely terrible experience with this company for HVAC services. Technician never showed for the first scheduled appointment. Technician that showed up days later just told me to clean the units. He accidentally bent the fan guard on my AC unit when he leaned over it to replace the screws (Still left 2 out sitting on circuit breaker). It's almost impossible to get anyone on the phone when you call. Do not call this company for HVAC issues and have your home warranty assign another contractor!

This company might do fine work, but there is no way to tell since you cannot get them on the phone. Their ""Emergency Line"" never answers, and even when you call during business hours you spend an incredible amount of time on hold. I should have received a call before 12 PM on Monday. I received a call at 3 PM and spent an hour trying to call back, to no avail. Then I called at 10 AM on Tuesday and was on hold forever; even the Home Depot referral agents couldn't get them on the phone. Then I was told the earliest someone could come out was Wednesday. Meanwhile, I have had no hot water since Sunday. So much for same-day service, so much for customer service. Very, very frustrating company to deal with.

There should be a rating for less than a star. This company has no customer service skills and an apparent deficiency in integrity. We had an appointment scheduled on Friday 4/17 between 1-6. I called their office to confirm the appointment that morning and the appointment was confirmed. I took a half day off work to wait for these people to show up. Not only did they not bother to show up they also never called to say they would be late or to re-schedule. I left two messages on their answering service and never received a return call. On the morning of Monday 4/20 I waited until 9:30 to contact them thinking that they would call first thing to re-schedule. HAH! The joke is on me again. I was offered an appointment on 4/21 because they were all booked up for the day. But what about my appointment on the 17th? I ask that they make good on their commitment and come out today when I was available and explained that tomorrow would be difficult for me. I was told they would try to work it out and call me back. It's two in the afternoon now and I've received no return call and have tried ringing this company twice. Both times to be sent to voicemail. I'll come back to share how this story ends but if you don't have time for a major headache I suggest you steer clear of this company.

After expressing how dissatisfied I was with the Service Tech I was contacted by the Owner Brian Reed. To my surprise I received a refund for the fee I paid and a special delivery of wonderful fairytale brownies(made my day:)
Thank you for reaching out to correct the issue and I will use your company for winter maintenance.
