I wanted a valve replaced under my kitchen sink. The pros: the responded quickly. There was no problem with the work they completed - replacing the valve, a faucet hose, and removing an unnecessary drinking faucet on the sink by unscrewing it. Additionally, the technicians were pleasant. Cons: The price was high - not breaking the bank, but the total cost was bout $260. There was nothing exceptional about the repair - basic plumbing. I've had a lot of plumbing work done on several houses I've owned. This was more than I would normally pay, but I thought I'd try new company. I also got an estimate to replace a 30 gallon water heat. Their estimate was right under $1300. Again, based on my experience this was excessive. I ended up using another service provider and paid $875 - which is in line with other water heaters I've had installed. So no problem with the work, but the charges were relatively high.

We are so happy with the job that Besel Plumbing did replumbing our house. Besel Plumbing is so professional and that is why we felt confident having them do this. Dave Besel's work is that of a true craftsman, and their entire crew does an excellent job. The care that they all take with their customer's homes really puts them over the top!

INCOMPETENT and LIARS - DO NOT USE: A plumber from here broke my dishwasher with his dolly. He lifted it without thinking what is it built like underneath (open on bottom dishwasher). He ruined the DRAIN PUMP. He then lied and placed blame on the installer and/or manufacturer defect (brand new dishwasher / brand new construction). There was no water leakage in cabinet and all appliances were tested 2-3 times after closing by management. This company has Mercedes vans and I assume are bonded right? They could have done the right thing and accepted their mistake. Instead the tech. LIED! AVOID THESE INEPT JERKS! My maintenance guy even knew this guy broke it but was not allowed to speak his mind. Yelp may contact me to ensure I'm a real consumer protecting other consumers. Do not remove my review if Besel Plumbing offers to advertise with you! I will copy this review to all sites I can to warn all Tampa Bay consumers of this inept, worthless plumbing company. I am a true consumer advocate and I will warn all to avoid this merchant. Come on, a plumbing company that has a brand new Mercedes-Benz van yet LIES when his tech. breaks a brand new dishwasher.

Besel plumbing was highly recommended by our neighbor and I was informed they do work for many of the people on my street. We recently moved into a home in St. Petersburg and had some issues with two of our showers. The tech that came to our home for the first visit was professional and punctual. While he was here, our shower upstairs began leaking through the ceiling. We thought, """"wow how lucky that the plumber is here!"""" (Turns out I was not so lucky). We asked the tech to please look at it and he assured us it was because the """"shower curtain wasn't closed all the way."""" I was not satisfied with the response and decided to run the shower again, while ensuring no water was getting out. Water still flooded through my ceiling. My wife called Besel plumbing back and they assured her someone would call to schedule another appointment. After we didn't hear from them, I decided to attempt a call. I was told that a meeting was held by the company and they would be """"declining service"""" for my residence. I continued to ask for an explanation...was this personal? was there anything we could to remedy the situation? did it have to do with the home? And we were continuously told that service was being denied. With the rise in antisemitism, we are always a little apprehensive that people are being discriminatory towards our family because we are Jewish. We continued to ask if this was personal, about the home, and if there was something we could do to make it right. The woman on the phone became extremely argumentative, informed us we were being marked for """"harassment"""" and refused to provide any other information. After further investigation, this company did some work on my home in 2004. I am highly suspicious something is being covered up here because they refuse to tell us what is wrong with the home or why they are declining service. Based on my interaction with this company today, I will not recommend this company to anyone and informed my neighbors of my experience. I truly never write reviews, so please approach this company with extreme caution.

I am very disappointed to write this review because my first impressions with this company were very pleasant until I learned the unpleasant sales tactics and deceptive misinformation practiced by their technicians. It all started when my sinks / shower / toilets began to drain poorly. I called Besel Plumbing and they promptly sent out one of their technicians. After snaking our sewer line through the shower (and charged us $380 mind you), the technician told us that he had cleared the blockage. Their technician then proceeded to tell us that he had 21 years of plumbing experience said that since our house was built in 1976, we had cast-iron pipes which were beginning to """"grab"""" and """"catch"""" items and furthermore while he was snaking he was able to pull """"wet wipes"""" out of the drain which were leading to the blockage. He told us that he cannot guarantee for how long until the clog would return but if it did, he would need to come back and install a clean-out on the property (since we did not have one) and hydro-wash the drain which would run between $3,500 to $5,000. Well, the clog came back just a few days later but instead of calling Besel, we called a professional drain-cleaning company called Radle Rooter and they came out, used a camera to identify the clog and determined that we actually have PVC pipes! In addition, they installed a clean-out and hydro-washed by drains all for under $1,000. I am so ashamed of Besel to give us misinformation and mislead us to believe we have cast-iron pipes and to accuse our children of flushing wet-wipes down the toilet. We even told the technician from Besel Plumbing that we have NEVER once seen a wet-wipe in the toilet nor heard of any of our children flushing wet-wipes yet he continued along with this narrative. I hope the lesson from our story can save at least one customer from being taken advantage of. The proof that this company is lying to customers is that the Besel technician came out to our property TWO different times, and both times were able to see our pipes, yet still told us we had cast-iron pipes just shows that they are either liars or incompetent. Either way, both are just as dangerous. I couldn't be happier with Radle Rooter and their small team and how courteous and professional they were. Great job Team Radle Rooter and I hope Besel Plumbing corrects their ways!!!!

Life savers!!! Excellent customer service!!!Nice and friendly. Saved us on a Friday night after another a plumber left in the middle of the job! From the first call to the main number (didn't catch her name), to George (owner?), to Jim Moore, the service technician. Everyone was so understanding & helpful! Despite the after hours cost it was still less than what the day guy was going to charge me! No pressure to replace still functional hot water heater either. Jim explained everything clearly and went out of his way to make things right. Besel is the best!!!

Our kitchen faucet lost pressure. I took off the sprayer, as I have done in the past, to soak the sprayer to remove deposits from our hard water. As I did this, the hose slipped out of my hand and into the faucet neck. I couldn't get it out. I ordered a new one from the faucet company and they sent me one. I called Besel and they came out that afternoon. The tech was pleasant and tried to get the hose and the connecting piece out. He took the faucet off and finally retrieved the parts. The new hose and nozzle were attached. I was charged the $89 for the service call and an additional $340 to attach the faucet. I think that was a bit steep since we gave them all the parts they needed to fix the problem. We tried the faucet and found out that he reversed the hot and cold lines. I called and had to wait over the weekend plus Monday for them to call me (as they don't have hours on the weekend). The tech came out and corrected the problem, however no compensation for our inconvenience for their mistake. I was not charged for the 2nd visit as they said it was a warranty call. As I said, I gave them all the parts needed. Bad business practice.

Woke up to find our 20+ year old water heater leaking. Besel responded very quickly and did a phenomenal job replacing it. Very professional installation with soldered copper fittings; no flexible piping which breaks down over time like that used by some installers. Highly recommend.

GENTLMENT PLUMBERS. SKILLED MASTERS WITH SOLUTIONS FOR EVERY ISSUE. The entire team is stellar. This is who you call if you want a reliable solution and no subsequent issues. Because my properties not new construction so many old world skills and knowledge need to be employed and these guys see the end of the road and plan backwards so there are no surprises. Excellent communicators and quality!

I am giving only 3 stars, as this company is VERY expensive. They did a very good job and cleaned up well, but I would not hire them again as their prices are out of this world.
