Having plumbing issues. While everyone is very nice, the work is not good enough. How many repeat appointments, days in a row, does it take? And why does a plumber ask me if something looks okay when one of their colleagues agrees it is terrible? Finally, where does the money go? The cost is unbelievable when compared to a similar business. And the financing? Save your pennies. Interest rate is too high for someone with an excellent credit score.

They did not install the AC to code and water overflow turned the unit off. This required a tech to come out once again to fix shoddy work.

I texted the technician from the number he texted me from a week ago. I called the office and the rep took my information. Still no follow up.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I recently replaced a 14-year-old outside condenser unit and a 31-year-old AC/furnace in my attic in late February 2024. After receiving a quote and a professional presentation from the service provider, we agreed on a price for the job. The installation was done well, and they even sent a quality control person the next day to ensure everything was installed correctly. The person who came out verified that the installation was great.
However, I noticed an increase in my electrical bill in April and May. When I called to inquire, I discovered that the dehumidifier had been running for over 192 hours while the AC had only run for 6 hours. After scheduling a technician to come out, it was discovered that the unit was WIRED INCORRECTLY, which had caused the issue. The quality control guy missed this during the inspection.
Then, in late July, I arrived home and heard the Compressor unit running loudly from the street. I called the service provider, Berkeys, and scheduled an appointment after being told that the unit may sound that way. However, the sound should not be audible over 70 feet away in a vehicle. The unit is between my house and my neighbor's house, near their dining room window.
A technician eventually came out, and, to be clear, he has been the most positive and helpful person during this process. He is the only one who has kept me up to date.
We are now ten days past when the technician came out; he said his supervisors had approved the outside unit to be replaced, and it would be replaced on Friday, August 9. When I called to get a time for installation, I found out it had not been put on the schedule and they would look into it.
Again, I asked for a manager to call me. The technician called me and said his managers asked him to call. There was a glitch in the scheduling system, and it can't be installed today, but can they come on Monday?
I explained to Jacob that I truly appreciate everything he does to help me. However, the company's customer service is awful, and the managers are ridiculous. I appreciate his call back, but I want to speak to a manager.
SO NOW WE WAIT - WIll they call back? Should HOME DEPOT reconsider its partnership with this company? Should Berkey's higher-ups review their manager's performance and perhaps read other reviews? For the record, I think this is the first negative review I have ever posted, and I am just beside myself to have to do this, but when you spend such a significant amount of money on a product, you expect it to work properly for more than just a few months.

Jay was awesome! He came one day and diagnosed that my compressor didn't work at all. He recommended replacing it. He came back the next day and replaced it. Which fixed the original problem we were having completely. He was very patient, answered all of my questions about everything. We also had the parts and labor warranty so it didn't cost us a penny, which is great. I would recommend Jay any day!

My AC was not keeping up the temperature. The Berkey's tech made a wrong diagnostic that was very expensive to repair and gave me a very high estimate to replace the whole system with new.
I got a second opinion and the problem was completely different and not expensive to fix. My old system is running fine now.

There must have been several plumbing emergencies this mornin, because the Berkeys crews were all doing 90 or better on 121 today.
I guess the question for potential customers is, do you want someone who can't safely operate a motor vehicle working on your plumbing...

Signed up for the tune-up service through Home Depot. Tech came out and looked at both my units, said they both were good. 4 hours later I get a notification from my smart thermostat saying that I have a problem with my upstairs AC unit. I called Berkeys back out to fix whatever the problem was that I did not have before they came out. New tech comes out, long story short, I all of a sudden have an issue with a part that is going to cost me 635.00 to fix. For 7 years I had no issues and all of a sudden a part breaks after they visit. I will never use this company again, and I am going to let Home Depot know of my experience. They may not want to be partners with such a crooked company I would give minus five
stars if I could.

Do NOT hire these people. VERY dishonest. I hired Luis to come at the request of the condo insurance company to assess the electrical panel. They wanted to know if it was safe. Although he said it definitely was safe in the letter to the insurance company he wrote because it was old it would be best to replace it at a cost of 3000$. Total for the condos 540,000$. ( A classic case of get there and then upcharge). I called the company and told them to put that on the estimate for future work but they said it had been written by Moses and was on parchment and it COULD NOT be changed. Some service tech in a parking lot has that kind of authority! Amazing! Save yourself don't hire scum.

Had a drain plugged and called Berkey's. Tech arrived within a couple hours and spent an hour snaking drain after cutting drain pipe in attic which was an easy reach. Tech charged over $500.00 plus $39 fee which was eventually refunded. Neighbor had same problem same week and charged $185.00. Called the company and they sent a $60.00 off next call which I will never use, since their prices are outrageous. Also, Tech inquired if I thought the earth was flat or round which I felt was odd and had nothing to do with plumbing. Tech also said he was just waiting to start his own business. Obviously not a loyal employee. Company overpriced and unprofessional. Not to be ever used again.
