The phone rep said 69.00 to come out unless they do work........okay, fair enough. Guy starts trying to light the pilot to the gas water heater (pressing a button over and over) and says.... If I get this lit it's a 100.00$. It doesn't light so he quotes me 1400.00 for the same water heater and install. Looked it up and it was about a 500.00 heater. Nice!! I declined the offer and went and got it at Lowe's the next day. One guy was nice, but the other was kinda douchy. Kinda like " we know your about to pay us no matter what, even if we just stand here and Fart in your living room" kinda attitude. Lol.

This company promotes itself as the prompt plumbers. They advertise they're on time or they pay you. They don't tell you this only applies to the initial visit to quote the job. It doesn't apply to when they're actually doing the work. I was told the would be at my house first thing in the morning between 8:30 and 9. At 9:45 I called and was told they were in route. I called again at 10:45. Asked about the promptness and that's when I was told that only applies to initial visit. They told me they couldn't get in touch with manager but they should be there in a few minutes. They showed up at 11:35. The two guys that did the work were nice and professional. I was told they would make two holes in Sheetrock and it should cost$200 to repair. There were four holes made and the initial quote from their recommended repairman was over $1000. The plumbers had to do more work than originally quoted which cost me $850 more than the original $3060. The manager that did the original quote also said the plecs pipe over water heater is required to be flexible metal pipe. The plumbers didn't do this. When we asked about this the manager denied saying that. My opinion: the company is misleading customers on their advertisements as prompt or they pay. They have no problem telling customers lies throughout the process.

LOVE THIS COMPANY. Bobby is incredible, came out on a Saturday evening due to a busted hot water heater, was able to mitigate any more damage and was there early Monday to replace and check/fix almost all the other plumbing in our new house. Thank you Bobby and Ben Franklin!

Buyer beware!!! The Technicians will try to rip you off! $200.00 flat rate for hr. Tried to charge me 3 hrs for a one hour of labor. (cleared a simple tube). Called his
a$$ out! So obvious he was just juicing time! Had I listened to his suggestion to check some b.s. pressure something I would've ended up paying a Grand if that!!!

Prepare to be gouged! I had them come out to replace a kitchen faucet and they wanted $450! I paid the $69 estimate and sent him on his way. The next plumber charged half that.

Got a card for a free $69 service call, made the apt told them about the card, they show up, quote $368,less $69 (they left when I complained), for a job the other guy who came 3 hours later only wanted $180. total.

Professional and on time but... I was quoted $320 per drain to replace the stopper mechanism on two bathroom sinks. That seemed very pricey! I had one drain unclogged for 149 dollars plus $79 trip fee for a total of $178 after they honored a $50 service coupon. I felt ripped off. I know I approved the work but I was already in for the trip cost. It also seemed strange that it would be more cost effective to have a new toilet installed rather than fix the existing one with a minor leak at the base that likely needs a new seal.

They said I needed $5000 worth of plumbing after a 1/2 a day with a camera. So, I got a second opinion. The next plumber found two rags and pulled it out without much fuss.

Stay Away...these guys are a true ripoff! The wanted to charge me $537 for fixing two stems in some bathroom faucets. I had another plumbing company do the job for around $175, and it took them about 30 minutes.

I have had a broken garbage disposal for almost 2 months, and then I had a tremendous leak in my water system occur just this last week. Due to some outlying issues finances were tough, and Richie from Benjamin Franklin plumbing worked tirelessly to find a way to accomplish both tasks and make it affordable. He was incredibly professional and the work done inside the house was done spotlessly, and I received a five year warranty on the garbage disposal. He tested retested and then tested it a third time just to make sure there were no leaks no improper fittings and that I was going to be completely satisfied. The next thing he worked on was the leak outside the house. He went above and beyond to work with in my budget and accomplish the work that needed to be done. The professionalism and quality of work was beyond reproach. He took extensive time to review the entire house and provide additional recommendations for the future completely understanding that there was going to be nothing possible at this time due to my financials. I also appreciate the fact that the work being done on two separate appointment times both times were met, both times I received calls prior to the arrival, and they even waited as I was a little bit late getting off of work today. I don't know everybody at Benjamin Franklin plumbing, but I can recommend Richie, the supervisor he worked with, and the dispatcher on both appointments.
