I want to commend both Jane and Tyler! With a constant drip under my sink creating an emergency flooding problem, Jane was the only person who offered to call me of any changes in their busy schedule. She miraculously did call me a short time later to inform me that Tyler would be knocking on my front door in a few minutes! When Tyler arrived, he was professionally dressed and greeted me with a smile on his face. He was so personable and knowledgeable and found the problem after pulling out a couple of wrenches among some other tools. He stopped the water from dripping and will see us again when the parts arrive. I swear, I would adopt this young man into our family! Tyler and Jane such assets to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing!

I cannot say enough good things about Ben Franklin Plumbing. Jane and Paul are super responsive and get the job done. Even for emergency callouts. Meanwhile other companies don't even return calls. Jane even talked me out of a pricy tankless water heater conversion because they're not well suited to the attitude/water temperatures in Summit County. They do furnaces and boilers too! Ben Franklin is going to be saved in my phone as ""Breck Plumber/HVAC"" from now on.

I used this company in August 2021 to hook up kitchen appliances in Breckenridge. They charged over $900 to hook up a garbage disposal ( provided by me) a sink drain and a dishwasher. Since then there have been complaints that the new dishwasher wasn't working well with dirty dishes. I just checked and realized that the technician connected the dishwasher to the cold water supply! Not pleased with their service and the high price for these simple hook ups, they they got wrong!

I had a broken hose bib and couldn't get a plumber to come out. Benjamin Franklin responded first and came out within 3 days. The repair was in a difficult location against the foundation wall in a finished basement area. It took the technician an hour to diagnose the problem and 2 hours to repair. They charged $1500 for the job and said they could not warranty the work as Shark bites were used. I felt ripped off.

We needed to replace our gas forced air furnace before winter hit. Had multiple local vendors come to the house to review and bid the replacement. Two vendors never followed up with a bid, one vendor wanted to talk about my hot water heater and why I should replace it at the same time.
Tyler came to review the scope of the project, wore a mask and took off his shoes. We looked at the furnace, the return air system, thermostat, took measurements, pictures and we discussed options. Two days later had a very reasonable bid which we accepted. Before he ordered the equipment, he came back to the house to confirm sizing, asked appropriate and relevant questions and then we scheduled the work - a two day job.
Tyler showed up on time and did the work. Clean installation, explained what his goal was for the day, got the furnace up and running the first day and then the second day was to install and balance the humidifier, the electronic air cleaner and thermostat. Wore a mask, protected the carpet, cleaned up afterward and we have a new furnace and ready for winter. Tyler was friendly, conversational and generally a pleasant competent young man.
Tyler was great, and I want to mention the brains and personality of the organization - Jane. She is professional, efficient and kept me up to date on the schedule. Great group of folks.

My shower valve was dripping a little bit but I live in Denver. Had my tenant call and have Ben Franklin plumbing come out and rebuild the valves. Ive done this many many times, very simple job. This should only take an hour or so and $30 in parts. I was charged $657.00 .
They charged me $99 service fee just for showing up, and then an additional $558 to rebuild the shower valves, thats outrageous. Not only was the price to rebuild it outrageous, but they also still charged me the evaluation fee of $99 when I had them do the work. I would recommend having anyone else do your plumbing work in the future.

Avoid this company at all cost ! This is exactly what people called a bad contractor. We used the Dillon branch but we're very disappointed. They rush their jobs and are extremely unreliable.

It was President's weekend and I had a tub that refused to drain. I think I called 5 different numbers for plumbers and Benjamin Franklin was the ONLY company that called me back, and was able to schedule someone to come to the house the same day. Jane (in the office) told me upfront what the holiday service call fee was but when no one else will call me back I had no choice but to pay it and resolve my tub issue. The tech showed up during the scheduled time and immediately knew how to solve the problem and made a no-pressure suggestion for a future remedy to keep the problem from happening again. If I have plumbing issues in the future, I will make the first call to Benjamin Franklin.

I had a hot water heater go out on Sunday. The good news is these folks were very responsive and willing to come up on short notice.
The bad news came when I asked the price for a replacement heater. I have a 40 gallon, basic gas fired hot water heater. Hang on, the replacement cost...$1800!!!!!??!! Are you freaking kidding me? When I questioned the price Tyler became indignant and put off. Really?
I ended up buying a hot water heater from Lowes and installing it myself, it was really that simple. $500 total plus tax. The hot water heater was $450. I also had to pay a service call.
Kind people of Summit County, this is a pretty good indication of what this company thinks of you as a community. This is epic price gouging at its best. It does not matter what they say, watch what they do. They did me dirty.
As a sidenote, the service technician Tyler became incensed, indignant and rude when I suggested that it was too expensive and I want to go elsewhere. Can you say up sell. One of the worst I've seen.
My advice be careful and check prices with these guys

The boiler that provides my domestic hot water and hot water to my hydronic heating recently stopped firing. In Summit County you have options.
You can get your plumbing or heating problem repaired from one many businesses in the county saying they repair plumbing and HVAC systems, if they answered their phone, or if they showed up the day they committed to, or if they had spare parts in stock, or if they actually had a clue as to how to do anything beyond unclog a toilet. Believe me, I've experienced it all.
Or, you can call Benjamin Franklin. I saw them in Home Advisor, called them and although I said it wasn't an emergency, they came out the same day. The technician was in uniform (clean) and had the training, competency, and parts on hand to troubleshoot and replace a faulty aquastat in a timely manner. Additionally, he provided a fairly detailed explanation of exactly how the system works; the whys and hows of flows, balancing, cycle times, temp limits, etc.
I would call Benjamin Franklin again for ANY heating or plumbing problem.
