These guys are more salesmen than plumbers. Their coupons are false advertising. A $79 drain cleanout turning into $220. Go elsewhere for a real plumber!!

I requested service for a new garbage disposal. The tech spent the first 15 minutes explaining all their warranty plans and options and why I should buy one. I had to keep refocusing him to my basic order, a simple garbage disposal. He finally conveys the price of $520 for the 1/2 hp model and 600+ for the 3/4 hp model. I felt it was ridiculously over priced for a commodity type product. He kept explaining how I received the benefit of his 30 years of experience, the reputation of the company, etc., etc. When I explained it was too much for me to pay given I know I can get an equivalent product and installation for ~ 1/2 the price he again went into his stichk and told me some people like me were just cheap. I appreciate they may have the expertise with their experience to handle larger jobs. However, I didn't feel like subsidizing their business with the installation of a garbage disposal. I have since ordered a more than equivalent product with a $109 installation price by a licensed plumber. I, too, had to pay the $49 fee, but will have saved over $200. It's a great business model for Benjamin Franklin. Not so much for the consumer.

They have these """"great deals"""" and then quote you an insane amount. Plus they will try their best to make the deal not apply. Don't give your money to these scammers. Call someone else!!!

NEVER call these people. They wanted $400 to install my toilet. Just the install price. I don't know how they sleep at night.

MAKE SURE YOU GET ANOTHER OPINION!! I called them for a pipe that was broken. They told me I needed to re-plumb my whole house & it would be $9,000. Called another company & the house didn't need re-plumbed, it was a piece that needed replaced. With parts & labor it was only $300 with the other company. These people took my credit card & charged me over $900 just to diagnose. I'll never call Benjamin Franklin Plumbing again-what a rip off.

I too made the mistake of calling this company to my house for an estimate on a water softener. The tech (I won't name) quoted me over $4,500! I kindly declined this outrageous price and was told I owed him $61! $49 was their """"service fee"""" and an additional $12 for """"gas"""". I wish I would have read all the other negative reviews about this company before calling them out to my house. Please don't make the same mistake I did.

This place is horrible. Had them come out last week to install garbage disposal, hook up water and dishwasher. The total cost for this service was estimated at $1700. I was sicken by this price!!! I decided to call another plumber to get another quote. Ended up paying 357. This place is a rip off.

I had house repipe done which came with a 20 year warranty, cost over $5000, but yet I have to pay $49.00 for them to come to my house. If all parts and labor are covered per paperwork why am I being charged? Customer service reps are rude, one complained about how long she was on the phone with me when she was the one not able to find the warranty information. Technicians are nice, customer service not so much.

Plumber was very late. He tried to get personal information from me during processing of the payment. Despite the fact that he was 1 hour and 25 minutes late, he charged me for the service call. After the credit card payment was completed, and an e-mail receipt was received, he then insisted on getting more numbers off my credit card. I found this strange and disturbing. I made 7 calls to get someone in management to discuss the matter. Never got called back. I finally got through when I told them that I was going to report it to the Police. Then I got transferred to a supervisor, who wouod only give me his first name. When duiscussing the event with the supervisor, Ralf, he could not explain why despite the fact that the payment was received and a receipt was processed that the plumber required more information from of the credit card. He told me a manager would call me. Still waiting for a call. I'm cancelling the credit card. Since I am on the board of our development, I will pass the information on. I would not recommend this company going forward despite doing business with them in the past.
