Save your hard earned dollars and run away from this company. If I could give this service a 1/2 star I would. This was the second time working with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. First time was great this time it was absolutely awful, Gross overcharge of service. The man was here for 30 minutes to include writing up the bill. He ran an auger down one shower drain $199. The bathtub next to the drain he removed the stopper and pulled hair out - took a couple minutes. The charge for for that was $108. With a $59 service call the 1/2 hour cost $362. Ridiculous. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, EVER! BIGGEST RIP OFF EVER. PRICING RIDICULOUS.

Maybe some techs are better than others but I would start away from Michael. He did some work on a guest bathroom and once he left the water pressure was off, our new water heater wasn't working and the water was murky. He came back and blamed it on everything else but his possible lack of experience ? There were no apologies but rather a blame on the new water heaters, the city or anything else he could come up with. Also, he put a skarkbit on the hot water pipe (which is a temporary resolution) -which is something we could have done ourselves for less.
The company has not gotten back to us and does not answer our calls. There is no response From management or even the intent to make it right. We paid over $1k for services only to end up with more issues and no resolution.
This company/employees are not here for a long term fix, but they make sure you'll need them for more than you originally planned for. Some may call that a scam but they call it business.

Just like Martin B., they tried to pull the same thing on my grandmother. She called out Ben Franklin plumbing because she had a leak under her sink, and when the repair man came to her house he told her that the leak was caused by her in-sink disposal, that she required a "special all-stainless" replacement, and that it would cost $700 to install. Thank gosh she didn't have the guy do the work, because my uncle went to her house the next day and it turns out that the connection under the sink had just come a little loose and all he had to do was tighten it with his hand. Problem fixed within 30 seconds.
I thought it might just have been a bad plumber trying to take advantage of an old lady, but it appears that they're still up to their old tricks.
Stay away from Ben Franklin Plumbing!!!!!

I contacted Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for a replacement of my garbage disposal. They arrived on time and the service tech was nice enough. He quoted the price of the replacement disposal at $514 which does not include labor charge. I said no thank you, just remove the old disposal and I'll do without one. That would be $898. I paid the $59 trip charge and sent him on his way.
I checked the price of same unit on Home Depot: $109. I set up install with the HD contractor. Install for $149. Well okay then.
How do these people stay in business? I don't know (and never will) the quality of their work but there are many other plumbing contractors that will sell and install for much less. I am insulted that the service tech quoted such an inflated price to me. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

I had used Benjamin Franklin several times and the technicians seemed knowledgeable and friendly. I had some issues with my guest bathroom and they came out and gave me an estimate of $10,000 to fix it!!! You heard right. They told me it was all the trenching to go under my house and they would do the plumbing for free. What a SCAM. I had another plumbing company that I got from Angie's List come out and they did all the replacement work and trenching for $3800.00. I would warn everyone against using Benjamin Franklin. Total scam.

From my contact with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing (Danny) until the actual plumber, Justin, came has been nothing but A#1. Justin was so professional and so nice, even to my barking dog. Thank you Danny and Justin! You have done so much for my faith in service workers. Susanne

I have to agree with others on here....way too expensive!! I had a pipe break between the meter and the sprinkler system and the plumber they sent said it would be at least $449 to dig the hole and $249 to fix the pipe! Unbelievable! I was furious but...I had already been without water for 24 hrs and it was now late Sat afternoon so they pretty much had me. I think the plumber felt bad and he actually came down to $249 to dig the hole but even he admitted it was easy and only took 5-10 mins. They also said that their trucks were fully stocked but he had to run to Lowe's for some "special glue" and I'm sure that time was included in what I was billed as well. Will not be using them again! This job was an easy job (completed within an hour) and should not have cost more than $200.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!The plumber came into my home with an attitude. Refused to even diagnose the problem just told me replace it or leave it as and also laughed at me in my own home. spoke to his supervisor about his plumbers attitude but that was a waste of time because no one in the office or his supervisor cared about a new customer complaint. They know a customer complaint will not effect there business in anyway because there too large of a business

This is the worst plumbing company in the world. I called them to fix a leaking toilet. The repairman was supposed to show up between 4 and 6:00. He arrived at 5:55 on Friday night. He spent 2 hours working on the toilet and charged me $625! The next morning (Saturday) it was still leaking. An experienced plumber came out Saturday morning and had it fixed in a matter of minutes and reported the other guy had installed the wrong flange. Oh, yes, my check cleared Saturday morning! I can't believe this company is still in business. The apparently spend all that extra money on advertising. I have since found an excellent plumber who is honest and does not rip me off!

Called to ask about a quote to replace 2 fully functioning toilets. The man who answered the phone was very hard to understand. Slurred his speech and spoke like he was reading a script and did not care.
He told me he needed to send a tech to assess the situation for $79 then would schedule another trip to com back to install the toilets for an additional $79 charge on top of the price of work.
So I asked what if I buy toilets and you come out and install them. H refused to give me a price or even a ballpark.
After reading the other reviews I understand why they don't even have a 3 star.
