Daniel Gagne, a second-generation plumber, started in the family business immediately after graduating high school in Montreal. In 1993, he relocated to the West Coast and launched his own business with his brother Patrick in 1996. The company expanded rapidly, and by 2000, they became part of the Benjamin Franklin franchise. As of 2012, we have expanded to three locations across the Bay Area: Novato, Concord, and Redwood City. Employing about 70 staff and operating 45 trucks, we are dedicated to improving our customer service and supporting homeowners in the Bay Area.

Allison W.Saw the truck driving around. We have a few small leaks that we'd like to have repaired, so we called and asked for an appointment. They gave us a window of time between 10 AM and 2 PM, which we agreed to. By 2 PM they had not called nor had they shown up. We had to leave to pick up our daughter, so we called to cancel. Bad first impression. Will be looking elsewhere.
If you like to gamble, play with this company. We saw the positive and negative comments and we gambled and lost. The first efforts ended up with lost time, stress and question marks about the company's ethics. Then we met with Ron the manager and he convinced us to finish the job with them. Most of it was finished and then they forgot about us again. Save yourself the stress and headaches and look elsewhere.
I set up an appointment yesterday to hook up my water softener for 3-7 pm today. Benjamin Franklin plumbing called me at 4:15 pm that they cannot make it. this company do not care about their customer. Benjamin Frankilin plumbing do not have word of honor or integrity. Benjamin Franklin plumbing will set you up an appointment to lock you in and does not matter to them if they overbook. Very selfish and irresponsible company. I gave them NEGATIVE 1 STAR!!!
Contacted Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and they were very quick to respond. I had multiple plumbing issues and Wade was very efficient with correcting the various plumbing problems. The communication was top notch! If I have another plumbing problem in the future I will be definitely be calling Wade at Benjamin Franklin.
Garth M.Benjamin Franklin Plumbing just completed a complex, multiphase project at our home, and I could not be happier with the results. When we first met with Michael, the supervisor and project coordinator, I discovered that the previous plumbing company overcharged us more than double the cost that BF charged us for doing the same exact job.
On every aspect of the work we just had done, we found BF to be honest, hit the bulls eye every time on the exact problem and the best solution, clearly present us with a concise range of options without any sales pressure, and follow through competently and professionally while keeping us posted from beginning to end. They were also up-front about their pricing, and the final charges were very reasonable.
Their customer service was top notch in every respect. I appreciated the courtesy and kindness of the entire staff, starting with Michael who was easy to talk with and to get a hold of when I had any questions. Then there was Kim, the very competent dispatcher, who served us well as the ""central switchboard"" who kept track of all the details during the ebb and flow of the work process. She was always there to keep us in the loop regarding where everything stood as the work progressed. And finally, the very capable workers were always friendly, courteous and sensitive to our needs and schedules as they worked diligently outside and under the house each day.
Without question, I heartily recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing as THE go-to company when you need to keep your water running smoothly without losing your shirt or your sense of continuity while the unavoidable whirlwind of work goes on around you. Great Job!
Tim G.The good thing about our experience was that they came out late in the evening to look at our leak. Then everything else went bad.
They didn't show up the following day as they said they would without even a phone call explaining why. When we called them, they simply said they were busy and would get to us the next day.
The next day, they didn't show up, again without even a phone call explaining why. I was now down 2 days off of work for nothing.
We called another plumber (Letts, which I highly recommend"" and they did the work for half of what Ben Franklin's quote was.
So in the end, Ben Franklin plumbing was:
1) way more expensive than the competition
2) did not keep their appointments
3) showed no customer service or thoughtfulness in at least letting us know they wouldn't show up on the day they said they would

Service from this company was prompt, with polite workers, who provided quality plumbing repairs and service, though at what seems to us highly expensive cost.

I was impressed with his efforts and his sincerity. The manager, Ron, is an honorable guy, and when I did have another issue, he dispatched a tech named Daniel to my home to help get me sorted out. Daniel arrived promptly and got me up and running again with utmost professionalism.
