We've used Benjamin Franklin before (hot water heater, toilet repair, clogged sink) and have always had the problem fixed. I've wondered if we were paying a bit of a premium though. Today may have confirmed it.
Just had a technician Michael come out and replace a water pressure regulator as we had zero water in our house. We had suspected this to be the issue. The work was done promptly and Michael was courteous and helpful ensuring the job was completed and functioning properly.
The quote we were given seemed high but as a family of 5 we needed water immediately so felt we didn't have a choice.
We paid about $850 for total services and part. However, when pressed for a simple breakdown of parts and labor it could not be provided. My guess is the part was $350 which means I spent $500 on labor which was about 2 hours. Seems a little steep? I think there needs to be more transparency in their pricing. Perhaps we are indeed paying a premium for same day service on an urgent issue. If that's the case then you just need to know that going into the engagement with them.

There is no such thing as monsters, this is what I tell my children. That is until you're faced with a massive plumbing problem. Then as an adult, you truly know that monsters are in fact real.
Things were just off in my bathroom. Between when I did laundry it backed up into the bathtub and the toilet, just not flushing. Something was wrong. So my man called Benjamin Franklin.
Wayne was awesome! He is no BS and by the end of this, almost plumbing nightmare, he felt like family. The entire team that came and worked at our house were so easy to work with. This was a big scary job and they really worked hard to make sure that I didn't have more work done than was necessary. It was a week long anxiety attack for me but they came through and in the end it wasn't as bad as initially predicted.
We also signed up for their maintenance service that involves not just plumbing but electrical too. So far so good. We were very impressed with their service. If you have a big scary job, call Benjamin Franklin.

John Moore the Service Technician came out for what turned out to be roots in 60 year old clay pipes. After he made his diagnosis he called in his Manager (Ron) for a second opinion. Between the both of them we worked out a solution that best fit my needs. It was a real pleasure to work alongside both of them. I would certainly use them again if need be. Thanks again guys!!

We had a problem with our tub faucet that involved having to shut off the water to the whole house. Keith came out first thing in the morning and took care of everything quickly and was very knowledgeable, as well as pleasant! Thank you, Keith!

Keith Lettier came to fix a leaking water main. The soft copper was in bad shape but Keith stayed at it striving for perfection. After several hours at it it was clear it wouldn't hold...he came up with a workable alternative. Keith kept to his original bid even though the job turned out to be greater than originally envisioned. He got the water running with a temp fix and came back to install the final repair a few days later with a text letting me know the job was complete and water was fully operational. Honest and nice man, and great work product.

I woke up yesterday morning to find my yard had turned into swampland. The location of the damage told me it was the water main. I was frantic as gallons of water were gushing up through the soil.
I called Ben Franklin plumbing, and told them what was going on. They managed to get a plumber out to my home within three hours!
Rafael was friendly, courteous and extremely professional. I will definitely use them again.

Keith Lettier installed a faucet in our kitchen. He did an excellent job and we are pleased with the result. With his knowledge and skill he was able to complete the job in a timely fashion. He checked the plumbing around the sink to be sure everything was in good order. We appreciated his thoroughness and attention to detail. He is professional and a highly qualified technician.

We hired Benjamin Franklin to work on a job for our side yard to do sewer, and water. The work they do is fine, however each appointment needed to be rescheduled for a later time due to ""another job that got larger"". This time after a rescheduled appointment for 8 am this morning, we get a call finally at 10 am asking, ""Did we have an appointment today?"" Not impressed at all with the way the office schedules and communicates with their workers. Can't imagine what would happen if we called with an emergency.

My mother in law signed up for an ""annual maintenance "" program with them (interesting how they always find an issue, though a 2nd opinion proves them wrong). We scheduled an appointment and they cancelled on us that AM, we rescheduled, called and left a message confirming it, and waited the 9-noon without a word . Called again, did get some one (no explanation) and were told someone is ""en route"". Bigger drag is we live 45 minutes away and need to drive over here to make this work. It isn't and I think perspective customers need to be aware of this. :(

Oscar Gomez at Benjamin Franklin is terrific! in all that he does and how he relates to the customer! You'll like him too, and recognize that he excels at his work. There was a whole crew, and Nick was involved, but can't remember the other names...all pleasant and very knowledgeable!
