Ben is a super nice guy. Works on his own and is very responsive. A few years ago he replaced my water heater. He brought me a new one and took the old one..no muss, no fuss!! Last week our washer water came up through the floor drain.... Ben was there the next day. Snaked it all clean. We had a bad seal in our pipes ( something jerry rigged) which he also replaced. And now I can do the laundry. I'm not sure if that's a bad thing or a good thing. Ha ha.

Ben Jacobs is the only plumber to ever call, at least, for me, I will only call on Mr.Jacobs. He arrived when he said he would, he made time when it was after the Thanksgiving weekend and I knew he had to be tired.
My sink was stopped up for a while and I tried everything on my own first because I have such a good landlord that I was trying to save him money.
Mr. Jacobs had to replace an old pipe and use a huge machine to unstop my kitchen sink. He explained everything.
My landlord was thrilled that I had called Ben Jacobs. He asked me to keep his information so he can call him for other work.
Ben Jacobs is reliable, extremely knowledgable, expedient genuinely polite, reasonable and kind. What more could one ask than someone who takes his work seriously and is reliable and reasonable?
He even knew about art, he offered some insightful commentary after he asked about the paintings I was working on.

This review is based on my initial call. Did not end up using this service. Called on a monday morning to have someone come over to my mother-in-law's house and fix a leaking toilet tank and was told it would be a $238 charge just for the plumber to show up and that they required our credit card number before they would even come to assess the problem. If you are cool with that, then this might be the plumber for you, just not for me. Got another plumber who did a great job, charged less and did not require a credit card number over the phone just to make the drive over.

What can I say about Ben, one of the most friendliest and knowledgable plumber I've met in a long time. At 3:30am in the morning, I woke up to a flood in my kitchen and garage. My mom and I could not control to water from coming into the house, so we were panicking and calling countless of plumbers located in SF. We finally got in touch with BEN JACOBS PLUMBING INC. and was willing to come all the way from the Eastbay to help us. Mind you, it's 3:30am! He gets to our house approximately 4am and helps us with our flood. Don't know how many plumbers that would wake up that early to help like he did!

My hot water heater was dying so I yelped some plumbers to get estimates. I knew nothing of Ben Jacobs but thought to try one small outfit in addition to two of the big companies. I am SO GLAD that I did! Ben Jacob's price was better for the same install. He also talked to me ahead of time about a possible complication that would require extra work and cost...and he told me ahead of time what that cost would be!! He is pleasant, professional, and an old school craftsman. He installed an updated cut off valve, and he cleaned up the area and removed the old tank. I am extremely pleased and would call him again without hesitating.

I called Ben to come check out my hot water heater that was not giving up the hot water. He came by and had it fixed in under an hour. The whole time he was explaining what he was doing and offering advice on how to keep the heater operating in good condition. The price was very reasonable and I could tell he took great pride in the work he was doing.
