Wesley from Bell's Plumbing did an excellent job replacing our water heater and garbage disposal. He is very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable.

Hired Bell's recently for some minor plumbing work at our rental property. Unfortunately, the service they provided was not what we asked them to do. They took it upon themselves to switch out some shower components, which we never authorized, bringing the total cost of repairs to almost double what we were expecting. So far, nothing has been done to remedy this issue. I'm happy to revise my review, however, as it stands, I can't support dishonesty.

Bell is absolutely extraordinary. We have used them for more than a decade and they never disappoint. They are willing to go the extra mile--or two, or three--to complete any job. Their plumbers are first-rate and seem to be able to work miracles. We would never use anyone else. Thanks so much for being here on the Central Coast!!!

This was a few months back but it's been bugging me so decided to write a review. Had an inspection performed on a home. Inspector called out the water heater which was installed by Bell's almost 2 years prior. Inspector stated it was not installed properly with multiple violations. Called Bell's and was told that because it had been over a year since the install, they would not come out to correct, ""that someone was going to have to pay for it"". The guy was totally rude. I just don't understand it, as a licensed Contractor, isn't it their job to make sure it's installed to code? Can't understand why they wouldn't own up to it and make it right. At least come out, see what the Inspector called out and go from there but they weren't interested in making things right. I'd never use this company.

I've been using Bell's for quite a few years now and they are just the best. Their employees are always prompt, courteous and mindful. The work is done right, and done right the first time, no having to come back. Their fees are not only competitive, they're usually better. Can't imagine using another company!

For starters we called this company first for the reviews here on yelp. Went to home depot to buy the water heater and ran into an employee and a plumber that said Bell was the way to go. Customer service answered right away and let us know they could be out between 2 and 4 pm. Called us at 230 to let us know they were coming. Really nice gentleman and was done in an hour. We did take the old water heater out ourselves before he got there so probably could have been a bit longer if he had to do that. No issues and everything looks great and well done. Will be calling them to do another project which he took the time to look at before he left.

I've had Bells Plumbing to my house on a few occasions for repair. The first couple of times I felt the work was done properly. Then a few months back I had a toilet reset. I was told that the floor was uneven and it was difficult but that shims were used and all was good. Before I paid the bill I called as the toilet seemed to be rocking slightly. I was assured they warranty ALL their work. So I paid the bill and called at a later time to have the warranty work done. I wasn't at home when Dan the plumber came back but he said there was a wipe 5' down and that the wipe would put undo pressure on the wax ring creating a leak. Not what the warranty call was for. I received a bill for $200. I have tried to negotiate a fair resolution offering to 'meet in the middle'
and was told that I would need to have a conversation with the plumber himself to ask if he is unwilling to be paid for the call (I was told he is a church going Christian man that they love and is a part of their 'family.' - irrelevant and unprofessional information.) So then the truth revealed itself; he would have to admit to possibly imperfect work and not get paid for the call. Unhappy with their customer service. Possibly Bells could have forgone their portion to keep a customer happy? I use Yelp a lot and not once have I written a complaint.

I find it a bit strange that there is such a discrepancy in ratings. We have used them 3 or 4 times, and have always been well-satisfied with their workers (competent, knowledgeable, efficient, courteous, clean-up well done, timely, etc.). We have never had a problem with billing or threats, and I must admit that if I recall correctly that I neglected to pay one bill in a timely manner. We had a known very slow hose bib drip behind some plants -- I considered it drip watering -- and when I finally figured out what that mysterious sporadic drip was that was only because it had turned into a larger leak. We live in an area with outrageously high water and sewer rates so I wanted it fixed asap. The gal in the office said they might be able to get someone out late that day, but she called back later to say she was sorry but it would have to be next day. The main reason I gave Bell's only 4 stars rather than 5 is that we have never had to have them do anything remotely difficult for basically any competent plumber. Their rates seem reasonable and that is considerably important to us. We would certainly recommend Bell's from our experiences.

Completely unacceptable customer service. Illegal entry into a home. Unauthorized charges to homeowner. No follow up. Nothing but excuses..."" We get so many calls we couldn't ask ALL those questions."" Really? Entered my home. Completed unauthorized work. Tenants didn't speak English. Now they won't follow up when another plumber says their work is not right. Bad attitude, Inflexible. Loathe to take responsibility, Pick somebody else.

I have used them twice that I recall. Both times were failures. I have a leak in a ground water system they ""fixed"" about two years ago that has failed again where they "" fixed"" it last time. Previous to that they were unable to freeze protect an external valve. They tried 3 times and gave up and refunded half my money. I had to shut down the system.
