In 1982, Jerry and Kenny Bell enrolled in HVAC school in Phoenix, Arizona, where they mastered the fundamentals of heating and air conditioning. After graduating at the top of their class, they entered the trades to gain practical experience. In 1985, they took a leap into the pizza business, launching a pizzeria in their hometown while also working for local HVAC contractors. By 1991, they established Bell Bros., starting with a single old pizza delivery truck converted into a service vehicle and placing an ad in the phone book. They prepared pizzas and awaited service calls, quickly changing shirts to assist customers when the phone rang. By 1995, the HVAC segment relocated from the pizza parlor to its own building, bringing on their first employees. Their goal was to establish themselves as the top heating and cooling service company in the area. Today, Bell Bros. stands as the largest heating and air conditioning provider in the Sacramento region.

Over 28 years ago, Bell Brothers Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning was founded by two brothers with a vision: to create a family of customers who would enjoy unmatched service and guaranteed 100% satisfaction.

We have always aspired to offer our customers the finest heating and air services, now expanded to include plumbing, sewer, window replacement, ductwork, and insulation services. We stand out by providing our technicians with continuous, high-quality training, ensuring they take pride in their workmanship and the care they give to your home. Experience the Bell Brothers difference for yourself.

Had them come out for the $87 dollar checkup. They broke off the access valve and all the Freon leaked out into the atmosphere. They said it was old and needed to be replaced anyway and left. They called me back and wanted to sell me a new AC/heater. I asked them to fix the one they broke and they would not come out and fix it. Had it replaced for $10,000 from another company. Surprise, Surprise , Surprise from the no surprise guys.

This known 'premium service' (which you will pay extra for) replaced my entire home HVAC system for $25,000 in June. When I turned the heater on in November it failed nearly immediately. Oh well, faulty part and they did come out the next day after I called.... but then.. nothing.

The tech said the replacement part might be in before the end of week, more likely the next Monday. On Wednesday after that Monday *I* had to call to ask, ""Where is the part? When are you coming back?"" They said, ""We don't know why no one called you."" They supposedly scheduled an appointment but I realized a week later that no appointment had been scheduled."" They ""forgot"" again! I had to call them a second time! Now it's nearly two weeks of freezing in a house with a brand new system that doesn't even work.

THIS is their stellar '5 star service?"" They forget to follow up on a warranty repair, twice????? They care so little about me now that I've already purchased a new unit? I was offered nothing except a few obligatory apologies from their phone secretary. (Like a discount off the monthly subscription I'm still paying for to service a brand new unit.)

That's the kind of support and service I can expect from their 'premium service'? They're so big they can completely overlook customers, even ones who bought their 'top of the line' most expensive system this year.

Don't pay extra for Bell Brothers. It's very frustrating when you don't get what you have ostensibly paid more money for.

Just want to update my 10/22/20 posting regarding Bell Bros. I picked-up a voicemail message from Jay @ Bell Bros. on 10/23/20 requesting I call him back, which I did. Since I hadn't heard from him, I called him back again on Tuesday, 10/27/20 and left a message for him with the customer service representative. Anyway, I received a call back that same day from the Operations Manager, Chalynn DiBenedetto. I must say it was a pleasant surprise! During our conversation, I reiterated everything that I had stated in my Yelp posting.

Chalynn thanked me for sharing our experience with Bell Bros. She did state it was important to them that their clients receive the highest level of service and that without feedback such as ours, they would not know where they can improve. She then requested I email her the invoices for the sump pump we had replaced and that she would be happy to send us a refund check, including their $99 dispatch fee. We happily received their refund check on 11/19/20 covering the cost of the sump pump, installation cost and the dispatch fee. She acknowledged mistakes do happen, but also stated it's how they handle those mistakes that sets them apart. I wholeheartedly agree! They ultimately ""did the right thing"". I also want to compliment Chalynn for her personal attention in resolving our concerns and ultimately making our overall client experience a very positive one.

Showed up to do what was requested however, my gripe is how they leave the residue of their service(s) for others to clean. I.e. If a line is flushed out, the sludge is left where it lands. For their pricing, I expected a higher degree of service.
Ideally since Bell Bros techs are supposedly the knowledgeable ones, them placing a bucket or other form of container would be a great consideration to the customer. In short, all precautions should be taken by tech to not inconvenience a customer and or their neighbors with the mess that is left after services are rendered.

We have had good service in the past for our A/C unit with Bell Brothers. They are pricey but I have appreciated how quickly a technician got to us. Unfortunately, our A/C stopped working and it is 20 years old so we knew we would probably just replace it. The first person came and gave us a $6k estimate to repair it. I asked for an estimate to replace it. They sent another person out the same day who wasted time showing me the same things the first technician did. He seemed nice so I let him go on. When he was finished and he sat down to (I thought give me the estimate) he refused to discuss it or give me an estimate until my husband was present. I was very clear with him that I thought that was insulting. In addition to the fact that my husband is on-call and it is difficult to schedule appointments with him present. He refused again and I escorted him to the door. I made a call to Buckley Heat & Air and they came the next day. Gave me more information in the first 5 minutes he was here then I got from Bell Bros and printed out 3 detailed and itemized quotes to share with my husband. Bell Bros lost a $19k sale with their insulting policies. **Update 10/20/2020 I rec'd a very nice phone call from Bell Bros Sales Manager, Brian, a few minutes ago. He was very pleasant and apologetic and told me that, while they prefer to have both home owners there, they certainly do not require it. I told him that if that is true he needs to share that with his staff. I believe that they are taking this issue seriously and expect that the next time a woman requests an estimate, they will give it to her.

Bell Brothers Plumbing beware! I was having some issues with 2 of my toilets and contacted Bell Brothers. Their estimate was $500.00 which seemed excessive. I just had the repairs completed by A handyman for less than $185. This included an additional nonplumbing repair job.

They are the worst. They show up 2 to 3 hours late. They left my backdoor open over night. They left my front door open but I was able to see that the door was left open on my ring door camera. They have to reschedule everytime you make an appointment the supposedly no surprise guys is more like surprise we either show up or we don't. Surprise we either lock up or not. If someone pays 15,655 for a job I would think they would show up to get the job done. Ill never use them again and I say run as fast as you can if you see them coming. They have the worst employees. They don't show up for work. They call in sick at least everytime they were supposed to be here they said they guy called out sick.

Bell Brothers took care of my HVAC system in short order and the guys did a wonderful job and kept everything in order while working in the roof and in the house. I would recommend them to any of my friends.

Kyle Auer with Bell Brothers is the best! He came out for our bi-annual AC service inspection. We specifically request Kyle whenever we need any service because he's super friendly, thoughtful, & of course very skilled. He's always on time & always wears clean booties while inside our home (& masked due to Covid) which we greatly appreciate, too. We recommend Bell Brothers & they are fortunate to have Kyle on their team.

Bell bro's windows!!! My wife and I had been researching windows over the last four years and learned a lot. We narrowed down our search and decided we wanted Anlin windows to replace our old aluminum windows. We had quotes from Brothers, Northwest exteriors, Home Depot, etc. Northwest was reasonably priced, yet was a very sell it to you approach. Additionally, Northwest explained that covid was slowing the process and Anlin would not be able to get our windows for 14-16 weeks. WOW! We had a broken pane of glass and could not wait that long. We tried Bell Bro's and were so pleased that we did! Bell Bro's matched our best priced quote. They said that they would have our windows installed within the month and they did. Covid certainly wasn't the issue as Northwest stated and Bell bro's/ Anlin got it done! The ""window design consultant"" or salesman Frank Gonzalez was of the upmost professionalism. He was friendly, courteous, informative, and easy to work with. Bell bro's also took care of all the permitting and rebates from the city. The whole process was so easy. The install team was also great. Nick and his assistant came out to our home and banged out ten windows in one day. They did a quality job and were so thankful! Next time your looking for windows trust bell bro's, there simply the best!
