In 1982, Jerry and Kenny Bell studied HVAC in Phoenix, Arizona, gaining a solid foundation in heating and air conditioning. After finishing at the top of their class, they started working in the trades to acquire hands-on experience. In 1985, they took a leap into the pizza business, launching a pizzeria in their hometown while also working for local HVAC contractors. By 1991, they established Bell Bros., starting with a single old pizza delivery truck converted into a service vehicle and placing an ad in the phone book. They made pizzas and waited for calls, ready to switch shirts and serve customers when the phone rang. By 1995, the HVAC segment relocated from the pizza parlor to its own building, bringing on their first employees. Their ambition was to become the leading heating and cooling service provider in the region. Bell Bros. is now recognized as the largest heating and air conditioning company in the Sacramento area.

Bell Brothers Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning began with two brothers over 28 years ago who had a vision: To build a family of customers who would receive unrivaled service and 100% satisfaction, every time, guaranteed.

Our vision has consistently been to deliver the highest quality heating and air services to our customers, now encompassing plumbing, sewer, window replacement, and ductwork and insulation services. What sets us apart is our commitment to ongoing, top-quality training for our technicians, who take great pride in their work and the care they provide for your home. Let us demonstrate the Bell Brothers difference.

Absolutely no sense of customer service whatsoever. I called only to request a technician to come out and give a second opinion that turned into asking about my personal life. My mother is handicapped and elderly so I was helping my mom to not be taken advantage of and get the best pricing available. I was told for ""service agreement purposes"" they would need to obtain verbal permission from the homeowner. I was asked to you live in the home?? What's going on with your mom? Questions that were completely unnecessary due to the fact that I told them initially if we did decide to go with their company the owner would be available to sign. Still, they wanted me to have someone call to authorize the work (which makes absolutely no sense because what can you verify over the phone anyways??). Long story short, we will not being doing business with this company because of their lack of understanding and poor business communication ideals. Sad they loss a potential $600 job. Two stars for answering the phone in a timely fashion.

We had problems with our a/c, no cold air was coming out. So we called and had Bell come out because they had great reviews. Next thing I know they are telling me there may or may not be a leak in my unit and it will cost $499 to try and detect it. Then they said my furnace was unsafe and it will cost us $1600 to come back out but that's not including a new furnace. I got a second opinion from a private company who does not work on commission and was told my furnace is in fact safe and I will not need to spend any money on a new one. Also, if there was a leak in my a/c unit then they put a sealer in there and it cost less than $20 for them to put it in.
I am disappointed in the way Bell tried to get money out of me. Victims of this type of service comes from young families and the elderly...so beware and always get a second opinion.

My mother is 78 and we are both diabetic. The heater went out in the house we share. We called Bell Brothers and Jesus came out and got it running. He told my mother that one of the five motors the system had went out. We were not told the repair needed to be made asap our that the fix was just temporary. The price to replace it was substantial so I wanted to get a second opinion. I thought we had a little time but before I could call another company...less than 24 hours, it went out again. When I called Bell Brothers I was told the earliest someone could come out was tomorrow afternoon. I asked the person on the phone what were we suppose to do without heat. He was real sensitive. He suggested we bundle up. Hey Bell Brothers in case you didn't know in California, homes with seniors and infants have priority over service calls after hospitals.

Wow, talk about over-priced and questionable. Got a quote from their sales guy for over 18K to replace A/C unit and ducting. It included an incorrect assumption by the sales guy of 2K in government rebates, which we later found out with a quick google search that those rebates had expired over a year before we even got the quote... wow. So, we got a quote for a totally comparable system and duct replacement from a competitor for just over 12K. 6 grand saved, and no regrets going with the other guy. Maybe Bell bros. has super awesome mind-blowing service after signing that dotted line with them, worth the extra 6K? Doubt it..., but guess we will never know. The money saved will make a great family vacation...

I tried their plumbing first. The plumber charged me $200 and didn't fix my problem. Tried to sell me new pipes at a huge mark up. Another plumber from a different company came and fixed my problem and charged me less than $100. Also I had signed up for the maintenance contract. The only problem is it's impossible to get an appointment less than a month in advance.

This company is a rip off. They were going to charge me $2089 for work I didn't need to get done and the representative who came into my home made it sound like I needed a new unit or 6 hours of work. I was charged 79.99 for them to come out to improperly diagnose my issues. I'm selling my home I felt it was the only choice I had. I agreed to go with them until getting a second opinion from a different company. I was charged $700 and they did everything opposite other than the drip pan which bells brothers was going to charge 1700.00 for. The new company showed me an itemized break down of all the parts. I'm taken back that a large company would take advantage and send someone who isn't knowledgable to diagnosis an issue totally wrong. You should be ashamed of yourselves but kudos to you for building an empire on dishonesty.

I called bell brothers because I smelled gas when my heater turned on, I had just received a mailer and decided to try them. The tech they sent took his time checking out my entire system and reported back it just could use a tune up, it is 13 year old and never had one. I have an apt to discuss replacement of my air conditioner which I asked for. He was very thorough and very nice. I felt he knew his stuff and my dogs loved him which tells me a lot. I'll repot back on pricing after my apt.

The tech came out and quoted me $79.99 to come out and $153 to unclog a shower drain. When I questioned the cost he took $20 off. I pretty much had no choice because he was there and going to charge me $80 anyway. I feel their ""no surprise guys"" saying is untrue. The tech spent 10 minutes to unclog the drain (with a simple screwdriver not even a drain snake) and I ended up paying $209. Next time I'll know better and call someone else.

Watch out for DECEMBER PRICING HEATER REPAIR - Their service tech came in, replaced a $7.00 part and was gone in 20 minutes - total bill $285.

Even when Bell Bros called me to review their service, by their own admission I was ""Double-Billed"" incorrectly for labor. But the check was cashed and ""No"" I would not offered a refund.

No I will never call Bell Bros again

I would give negative stars if I could. This company was recommended to me when I had a leaky kitchen faucet in my rental. Spent $500 to replace it. Fast forward 2 months later and it's leaking already. My tenants alert me to the problem. I take time out of my day, while on vacation with my family, to call to make an appointment. At first they didn't even want to help me because I hadn't signed their new rental/tenant policy. I explained that I was on vacation and didn't have access to print a document. They allowed me to verbally authorize my tenants to make appointments. My tenant called, and they refused to help him. I had to call again to explain the situation. The plumber finally came out and explained that he needed to order a new part for the faucet. Hmmm. Ok, order a part for a brand new faucet that is already leaking? Not happy, but fine, it needs to be fixed. A week and a half later, we still have heard nothing. Mind you, this is a kitchen faucet. Are my tenants supposed to wash their dishes in the bathroom and not use the kitchen sink while they're waiting for a part?? I call and what do you know, the part is ready and sitting in the warehouse. Meanwhile, damage has been done to under the sink. They finally send the plumber back out. He replaces the part and says that my tenants must have waited too long to call and that they're not responsible for the damage. Unbelievable! I call the company several times and no one called me back. My tenants called several times and no one called back. I finally get a call saying they can't talk to my tenants because I haven't signed the tenant policy paperwork. This again?? I fax it back from my work letterhead. Apparently this got their attention because an extremely rude woman called me and argued that they're not responsible for all the damage but that they will contact my tenants to arrange to send their carpenter out to fix whatever they deem was caused by the leak. It is now the end of November, the day before Thanksgiving and my tenant has just contacted me today to tell me the faucet is leaking again and that they never contacted him to come fix the damage. I am about to make another call, and I'm expecting the same poor, unprofessional, rude service that I have been experiencing for months now. Cannot wait to be done with this company and to never have to use them again. I should call a more professional, reliable company but this is their damage and crappy faucet and they should be responsible. Ridiculous. For the record, I am again immediately calling upon learning of the leak. Guess they won't be responsible for this damage either.
