They *might* know plumbing, but everything else was GARBAGE. Customer service, explaining to the customer prior to proceeding, opening the door without knocking, etc. A hole was placed on wall without previously WITHOUT letting me know. They wrote ""2"" x 2"""". I told one of the plumbers that was inaccurate and he said 'it was 2"" x 2"", THIS is 2"" (showing me with his fingers)"" and he got his measuring tape and went back to measure. Vertically it was 2"", horizontally, it was 3"". I asked him to correct on paperwork and he did it in penwould measure

At the request of American Home Sheild Home Warranty, this Bear Plumbing was sent out. After all of maybe 15 minutes they provided a diagnostic stating it would be covered by the Hone Warranty Co. However I would need to hire a restoration company to clean out the area. I called a highly recommended company based on Yelp reviews & was told no restoration was needed. They said this company either didn't want the job or didn't want to get a bit dirty. I called the HW company back & told them what I was told. I cancelled the service, called a plumber on my own & was told there was a pin leak. The new plumber went under the house provided me with an accurate diagnostics & come out clean. I believe this company just didn't want to get dirty. Not to mention the diagnostics they provided to the HW company was not covered!!! If I could give them no stars, I would!!!!!!!

John has demostrated great customer service and problem solving. He is a responsible and ethical business owner.

Worst Plumbers I have EVER had the misfortune of dealing with!
BEWARE - Liars and Cheats!!
Came Through American Home Shield to give a FREE estimate and Lied to American Home Shield about completing the job.
Their estimate was DOUBLE all other companies - so we did NOT use them - They invoices AHS and collected full payment on a job them did NOT do. Refuses to admit they did not do the work and will NOT refund the money.
We WILL be taking them to court!!

Update : Still no call back from the ""Technician "" to explain how they came to the conclusion that this was excessive force on a 15 plus year old shower faucet versus normal wear and tear.
If I could give zero stars I would. Stay away from this company and when requesting sfrom American Home Shield I would recommend you asking them not to send this company out. My home warranty company sent them out as part of my service request for a leaky faucet. They show up take a look at the leaky faucet and tell me they will be in contact with me as they had to order the part to fix the issue. Two days go by and I had not heard from either Bear Plumbing or AHS the home warranty company. So I decided to give them a call. I am told by the office lady that this would not be covered by the insurance. Okay fine, I asked to have the technician call me to see how they came to that conclusion without ever removing the handle or cartridge to look inside. Of course no return call has been received. They were in my house for less than 5 minutes and had no tools on them. Yet they were able to to come to the conclusion that of course only benefits both them and the insurance company.

Again and again, I see in these reviews the same story! I had a tiny leak in the spray hose in my kitchen faucet. They came, tracked dirt all over my floor, looked at the faucet for 4 minutes and left. They then reported to American Home Shield that the leak was due to my own abuse and negligence. Exactly like all the other stories on Yelp! This company is terrible. If you are going to be scam artists, at least try some different tactics! But they keep doing the same thing to AHS customers. Disgusting!

Do not ever use Bear Plumbing & Rooter. I am a single female homeowner who was the victim of predatory pricing by this company.
Three other plumbers I contacted afterwards said the job should have been anywhere from $800 to $1500, yet he charged me an exorbitant $2400 (supposedly $600 worth of parts and $1800 of labor for 45 minutes).
This company was hired to simply install a kitchen faucet, disposal and set a new toilet on plumbing that had already been exposed and ready. We even replaced valves for them in advance, ready for them. They installed the faucet sideways and it leaks. Bear Plumbing refuses to provide an itemized invoice.
Upon comparing with other plumbers in the area, this price was 2x to 3x higher than what it should have been; all three said it should have been 800-1500.
I am livid and doing all I can to make sure no one else is bamboozled by this guy. His name is John Ogan Tiratsuyan.

I want to give the props to Doreen and Deseree. My water heater went out last Friday, and went out of their way to get us a new one and had it installed in two days . I highly recommend Bear plumbing for all your plumbing and water heater needs!!

Zack and George did a great job fixing the garbage disposal in the sink. They arrived on time, were very professional and completed the work very quickly. Very pleased with the overall service

Dishonest rip off merchants!! Stay away!! We contacted Bear Plumbing through American Home Warranty to fix a leaking shower head and to install a one-way check valve in our main sewer line. The guys were nice enough, but they are dishonest with their pricing. We determined that the one-way check valve would not be covered by the insurance policy and we would therefore have to pay for it out of pocket. No problem - that's the insurance policy and nothing to do with Bear Plumbing. However, they gave me a verbal quote for a minimum of $3800+ dollars to do the job. What he didn't know is that I had already had quotes from two different, extremely reputable plumbers. I only called Bear Plumbing out in the hope it would covered by AHW. The other plumbers quoted $2400 for the exact same job, but said it would be better and cheaper to install the valve in the crawl space, rather than digging a huge hole in the front yard to access the sewer line. This would save destroying the landscaping, be easier to get to since the sewer line is visible in the crawl space, and provide easy access if the valve ever needs to be maintained. The quote for this version of the job - $850. Bear Plumbing said that installing the valve under the house was impossible and not an option. They didn't even bother to look in the crawl space to see. In other words, Bear Plumbing was fully prepared to rip me off by - wait for it - $2,950!!!!! We have now completed the job successfully with one of the other plumbers for the quoted price of $850. Do your wallet a favor and stay away from these guys. There are better and more honest plumbers out there.
