Very disappointing service from this company who was dispatched through our home warranty company. He did NOT fix the issue, and did not care after receiving payment. It is 100 degree temps in Florida right now, our AC is broken. He told us he could come back out on Monday. It is Friday. The AC is still not working emitting a burning smell that persists and smells very concerning! Would not recommend. At all.

BEWARE!! Our warranty company sent out Scott Baylis. This man is rude and highly argumentative. He did not fix the problem and he told our warranty company that we broke our own thermostat because we tried to fix it ourselves. Not only is he incompetent, he lied to try to get $250.00. He sloppily replaced a fan motor which was not the problem. We still have no AC and will be calling a REAL company to come in and fix this issue tomorrow. Do not let this man inside your home.

I could not be more happy with the service we received this weekend on our AC unit. What I thought would be a major repair was only a broken wire! As an automotive service writer, I respect any business that is that honest in what could have been a new AC unit or compressor replacement. Thanks, Baylis for the prompt Saturday service and the honest professionalism of your Tech.

This is my 2nd experience with this company. They seem to be the default company for my home warranty company. Both experiences have been unprofessional, rude, uncaring and totally unacceptable. They arrive with a bad attitude, and it remains in effect the entire time. Getting guidance or what to expect is impossible, and if called to complain, they hang up on you.

It took two weeks to get an appointment scheduled with this company to get my air repaired. Finally I had the window of 8 to 12 and I took off work to be there. The technician called once at 9am and I tried to call right back 3 times with no answer. The 4th attempt I left a voice message and was told I lost my time spot and would need to reschedule. He was very rude and unprofessional! DO NOT USE this company !!!! This is a black eye for American home shield and they should screen their contractors better! I would give 0 stars but I think I have to rate with at least one.

My experience with Baylis matches those that desire zero stars. They came through american homeshield and have been to my house 3 times in the last year, twice for the same issue- a leaking unit that's leaking into the house. Each time, they arrive for about 20 minutes, bumble around, spray some cleaner into the unit, and then depart, claiming everything is fine, just a little dirty. I explain the noise in the motor is like an airplane; they explain that's normal. Most recently they """"fix"""" the problem and several hours later the ac is leaking even worse than prior tho their arrival. I had a new company come (Nice Air) and they pulled apart the motor and found enormous amounts of gunk in all crucial water flow areas. They explained the other guys just come to get in and out, as these places needed to be checked, considering my issue. I let homeshield know, but, they don't give much of a you-know-what. Avoid Baylis. Not good.

What a bunch of unprofessional people! They came from American Home Shields, he said the AC might be a broke pan. I asked don't you want to open the unit to see if it is broken? He said no, next time but he will call AHS to tell them that it is a broken pan. How can he tell the insurance that an item is broken if he does not know it? And how can he leave without fixing (or even try to fix!) the problem? I would give 0 stars if I could!

Like many other of these reviews this firm was selected by American Home Shield home warranty company. Took 24 hours from initial contact to having technicians arrive. Quick diagnosis although it took many questions to get an answer to the issue...a leak in the coil. The part had to be ordered, took another 5 days. They called me and said the refrigerant ( the newer R-410) was only being reembursed by AHS at $10/lb and they would charge me $75/lb Which Ihad to pay the difference of $550.00. Called my local HVAC vendor who I have used before on another house...he only charges $40/lb...seems like these guys won the low bid for AHS and they make their money by overcharging on refrigerant. Would never use this firm on my own accord. Oh yes, the """"bedside manner"""" is seriously lacking from both the dispatcher to the onsite technicians.

Referred to them by HSA Home Warranty for A/C repair. After 2 seperate trips over a 4 day span, and a 10 minute diagnosis, they actually told me my a/c wasn't working because it was hot outside... Seriously??? It's hot in Fl in the Summer?? And, in the end, they said they didn't know what was wrong, so they couldn't fix it. They confirmed that the air temp coming into the house from the A/C was 75 degrees instead of below 60 like it should be. According to them, iit SEEMED like it was working so there was nothing to fix. They then reported to HSA that the unit was working when it was over 80 degrees in the house??? They left me with a non functioning A/C, constantly running, and what I'm sure will be a huge electric bill. the best part, when I asked them why it was working fine for the last 10 years, but now it's not...""""IDK"""" Skip this co,

These guys work for American Home Services ( a whole separate bad review!) and definitely not for the customer. We had an Airconditioning failure late in the afternoon with temperatures in the mid 90's and called in and they scheduled a visit when it was convenient for them several days later. We had a different company come and fix the problem the night it failed. When these guys showed up, they were not customer focused and acted very 'bothered' to even be here. They looked at the system and said it was old, but since it was running they couldn't do any maintenance. Then they decided one small part needed changing and they did it but didn't say what it was. They then left but showed me a stack of orders they had for similar calls. It looked to me as if all they were after were the referrals. I guess that works for them and for AHS, but it doesn't do much for the consumer. I would never use this company if they weren't mandated by AHS, and have had to use our trusted 'standby' firm for weekend or evening service...
