Steve E.Spring start up of my a/c unit was a fail...no air, no compressor or blower fan. My own testing and experience led me to install a new thermostat; still nothing. Called and scheduled an appointment with Basset. On a HISTORIC, glorious, supreme court day for the unborn and America, they sent out a tech named Kyle, who promptly showed up at our scheduled time and went right to work. After about 30 minutes of diagnostics, in and out of our attic he had our system up and running. Polite, friendly, and professional, Kyle found I had crossed up the a/c power wire in my thermostat with my boiler power.
No BS. No unnecessary parts. No upsells.
After talking some shop...we did discuss their maintenance plan, which, after receiving such great service by Kyle, I am considering--I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.
Let's Go Brandon!
Robert S.Thankyou for sending Christian out to give us a second opinion on service to our air conditioner. Finally, a technician that was honest and knowledgeable! Didn't try to sell us something that we didn't need. You're fortunate to have him on your team! Thankyou again!
Had them come out to fix our heater and they said they can take a piece from our AC to Fix the heater but when spring comes around to fix our AC unit we would need an 800$ piece. We'll come to find out this weekend had another come out and they said we don't need a new piece and that someone had just disconnected our AC wires. So needless to say someone from basset was looking to make some extra money. HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND.
Kevin came out to give an A/C estimate and was professional, personable, and knowledgeable. He explained things in terms I could understand and only offered what he thought was best for my needs. He was thorough and took his time with me and I feel like I was given a very fair offer. I will be using this company for my installation without hesitation.
They were suppose to have cleaned my furnace before I moved into my newly bought house. I'll let the pictures talk!
Kevin Laurich came to our house to clean out air ducts. He was on time and very polite. He did a fantastic job and was very efficient. He was very friendly and informed me about everything he was going to do and also pointed out some suggestions to help keep our vents in good condition.
My HVAC system never had a leak. It was properly charged with coolant and clean (both inside & out). It did have a TOCF7-series blower capacitor that was apparently too large for the unit. The Basset tech did not recognize these facts, ran under the assumption that the unit must have a leak to be operating so poorly, and proceeded with a ""the silly customer has a leak, but is too cheap to pay for the fix. So, I'll do them the favor of topping off their system before I depart and boosting their blower capacitor so that it really blasts with air flow"" diagnosis. (I've gone the extra step of uploading the TOCF10 capacitor that was installed because we happen to still have it.)
Everyone makes mistakes, but, as Basset's repair work turned my little inconvenient annoyance into a catastrophic system failure, I felt obligated to post a review I hoped would focus not just on the services rendered but how I was treated afterward. If someone is paid to do a repair and that work is subsequently called into question, I would imagine that party to jump at any opportunity to rectify the situation. Basset chose a different path. Given the growing pool of water at the base of my HVAC and wet carpet in my basement that wasn't there when they first performed a service call, the first words out of their customer service representative should have been, ""Something's not right"" and ""We're coming back to fix it."" Not finger pointing. Not ""The customer made a choice, live with it or cough up more dough"".
The rebuttal I just read still reeks of confusion, misdiagnosis, and denials of culpability. My business with Basset Heating & Air Conditioning has concluded, but I refuse to allow another potential client to make the same uneducated mistake.
Blake G.We needed to have our furnace serviced and called them Friday and they sent Ryan out on Monday. Ryan is the man! He was thorough, polite, and very knowledgeable. He pointed out some things we were doing wrong, gave my wife and I a run through of how everything works and needs to be maintained, and was overall very pleasant.
I don't normally write reviews but I felt I needed to after having such a wonderful experience! I'm not sure how the other technicians are, but If they are anything like Ryan they will have our business for years to come!!!
Not sure if these guys are understaffed or just incompetent. Had a furnace not working, and they sent out a tech that wasn't qualified to fix the problem, so 2 days later they sent out a ""senior technician"" that looked at the system for all of his 10 minutes and as he was walking out the door stated they'd ""be back next week"". They were supposed to come today (my house is currently 50 degrees) however they called saying their tech ""got caught on a job"" and wouldn't be able to come in until tomorrow. Currently 8 days without a working furnace, which is awesome!
Kyle T.Basset it a great company and did a great job servicing my furnace for winter. Their service rep did a very detailed job walking me through everything. thank you so much i will be calling back.
