I had Bassetts service my ammonia systems for years. The last year we paid them over $1/2M in service fees.
The way they showed their appreciation and loyalty for my business was to poach my only 2 Ammonia techs leaving us without any qualified ammonia techs in our maintenance dept. Btw: We never received any phone call from them about this, They just did it.
In my 50 years of business I have never seen such low integrity disgusting behavior.
So much for Mid West values....

WARNING DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I want to start this off by saying I never write a review for companies, but they way Basset Plumbing mistreated us recently has compelled me to do so.

A plumber from Bassett plumbing was dispatched out by one of our tenants at for an issue with their toilets flushing. Basset plumbers Augustine or Kevin used an auger and these toilets are connected to a sanitary T that is a ""U"" shape. They ran the auger, missed the drop, and it came up and destroyed the neighbor's toilet. I know this because I had another plumbing come out and inspect what they did.

When I contacted the customer service rep, they would not give me any information or assist me as the property manager. I then asked for a supervisor contact. This is when I was given Mark's contact information.

When I reached out to Mark about the incident he was right away combative and condescending claiming ""I don't know what I am talking about"". He said his plumbers only dropped a couple of feet when they got stuck (not true). He refused to meet me on site to look at it together and refused to take any responsibility.

An overall extremely unprofessional way to handle a situation that put us in a very bad spot. I HIGHLY recommend not using them.

Had HVAC Tech Mason Olson perform a furnace inspection/tune-up today by appointment. Friendly, professional, courteous young man (I'm in my 70's); called to inform me he was enroute, showed up soon afterward. Went to work immediately, started his diagnosis steps, replaced the filter, cleaned up after himself; exceptional job done! Best HVAC Tech to ever service my home system.....asked the office staff if they would make Mason my ONLY HVAC Tech for future service calls/tune-ups. Great Job Basset!!!!!!

For our semi-annual hvac inspection by Ricky, we were shown some very problematic areas needing attention. His service is top notch. I watched him perform tasks none of my other techs from other companies did. I am staying with Bassett and highly recommend them. And they didn't cost an arm and a leg. Great value.

Unprofessional waste my time and didn't communicate and refused to tell me price because they wanted to get their show up fee even though the guy showed up and they had already put the price in his tablet he didn't have to look at anything. Just scamming people out of money

Spring start up of my a/c unit was a fail...no air, no compressor or blower fan. My own testing and experience led me to install a new thermostat; still nothing. Called and scheduled an appointment with Basset. On a HISTORIC, glorious, supreme court day for the unborn and America, they sent out a tech named Kyle, who promptly showed up at our scheduled time and went right to work. After about 30 minutes of diagnostics, in and out of our attic he had our system up and running. Polite, friendly, and professional, Kyle found I had crossed up the a/c power wire in my thermostat with my boiler power.

No BS. No unnecessary parts. No upsells.

After talking some shop...we did discuss their maintenance plan, which, after receiving such great service by Kyle, I am considering--I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

Had them come out to fix our heater and they said they can take a piece from our AC to Fix the heater but when spring comes around to fix our AC unit we would need an 800$ piece. We'll come to find out this weekend had another come out and they said we don't need a new piece and that someone had just disconnected our AC wires. So needless to say someone from basset was looking to make some extra money. HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND.

Kevin came out to give an A/C estimate and was professional, personable, and knowledgeable. He explained things in terms I could understand and only offered what he thought was best for my needs. He was thorough and took his time with me and I feel like I was given a very fair offer. I will be using this company for my installation without hesitation.
