I had a leak from bath tub when fill water in bath tub. Called Baker Brothers for check and fix. A plumber came. He told me first hour $159, then $138 for every hour after first hour. Before first hour almost finished, I asked him if he found where was the leak, since I couldn't afford open ended hourly charge without knowing how many hours he needed to identify where was the leak. He was able to tell me the leak was from overflow before the first hour finish. There was a gap between the tub wall and overflow pipe could be seen. Then he sat down checked his Baker Brother price book and told me it cost $179 for him to replace the gasket (Later I bought the part from home depot for $1.98). I told him to proceed. But he said he need to charge my credit card first before fix it. I gave him my credit card and he text my card # to Baker Brother office, and confirmed my credit card went through for total charge of $338 before start to work. After he started to fix just 5 min, he told me it would not work just replace the gasket, since the overflow pipe in the wall was not properly built at the first place. He needed to cut the wall and rebuild the overflow pipe. It would cost $700 (not include to put the wall back). At this point I asked him to stop the work. Then he told me my credit card would be charged first hour of $159, and, I would get refund of $338 already charge. I have since bought the gasket myself from Home Depot for $1.98 and spent 10 min put it in between bath tub and overflow pipe. The problem fixed. Checked my credit card online, and, still seeing both $338 and $159 being charged. Will need call my credit card to let them take off the first charge. Baker Brothers good or bad? You can tell from my experience.

If I could give these guys 6 stars, I would!!! We had been having trouble with our master bathroom double vanity sinks backing up in August. It started last year just months after buying our house so we called a plumber recommended to us by our home warranty plan -they cover plumbing issues but not blockages- and he said it would cost over a grand just to use some machine to 'blow out' our entire system. We didn't see how that would be necessary since we only were having trouble with our master bathroom sinks - literally nothing else was being affected so we called another plumber for a second opinion (this plumber was recommended to us by a co-worker) and he wanted to cut open the wall between the sinks so he could get to the T shaped pipe to 'diagnose' the problem. That would have cost us a minimum of $650 because then we would have to get someone in to repair the sheetrock and paint since the plumber wasn't going to do that. Finally, we called a third plumber and they suggested baking soda and vinegar. To our delight, it worked! ...or at least seamed to until this past July came around and then we were back the the SAME problem. I was at my wit's end! I was pulling out of my subdivision just a few days later and saw a Baker's Brother Plumbing van parked in front of one of the houses and thought I'd research them. I checked various reviews and I checked on Angie's list. Based on the good feedback, I thought we'd give them a try. THEY WERE WONDERFUL! Hands down, they were the most professional, courteous, and knowledgable of all of the plumbers! They didn't have an attitude and they took the time to explain what the found and what their proposed work would encompass as well as cost instead of acting like I was irritating them or pestering them. They actually found the CAUSE of the problem (our A/C line hooks up with one of the sinks which causes yucky algae-type build up which leads to backed up sinks) - something NO ONE had been able to do - and they fixed it quickly and for less than HALF of what the very first plumber wanted to charge! They even game me a tip for how to prevent the problem in the future so that I wouldn't have to call a plumber. I have given their name out to EVERYONE who has asked and even many who haven't asked since you never know when something like this might strike. These guys will have my business from now on!

They did a great job. Easy to contact/set up appointment. Was here the next day. Took time to listen and suggest options for my gas range connection. Showed me where the house gas shut off was. Pointed out suggestions on the sink and fireplace. Great work Baker Brothers Plumbing... I know who to call or recommend now.

Saturday was a bad day... I came home from work to no hot water and a very loud upstairs ac unit. I called baker brothers because I saw they had a pretty good reputation and serviced hvac and plumbing. The weekend trip charge was a little much (which I expected) so I went with Monday. Sunday they called me Sunday to confirm my Monday appointment then bright and early both technicians called to let me know they were about 30 minutes away. First was the electrician (Cade) explained what was wrong and he went strait to work. He diagnosed the problem and gave me a few options. I really appreciated his honesty you could tell he wasn't just trying to get me to do the most expensive thing but ensured that I knew all the options available.
Next was the plumber (Marcos) he was a young guy with a great personality. Again I explained the issue and him and one other tech went strait to work. He found what he thought was the issue and told me the steps he was gonna take to fix it. He went and got a part and it didn't work. We talked about our options to replace vs repair and I felt very confident in replacing the unit. There was absolutely no pressure just honest caring advise. I am so very thankful that I made the call to baker brothers :)

This by far was one of the worst decisions I could make by calling them to fix a Kitchen Sink Faucet with detachable sprayer that was leaking. I called them as they were referred to me by the Plumber that my Builder uses as they were booked up for a week.

When the Plumber arrived he said the sprayer needed to be replaced and took several pictures to send back to the office to see if they had the part. He walked back in and out of the house multiple times as he said they wanted more pictures. He said he may have to get the part and that would be a trip charge if he has to go and get it. I asked how much it would be, and he said he would have to check.

On his final trip to the truck, he comes back in after 20 minutes and brings me an estimate to replace the sprayer for $250+, and the replacement of the entire faucet for $586+, or I could go buy my own faucet, and I would be charged $230+. I said you must be kidding me. He said he had several other jobs today, and if he needed to go get the part to replace the sprayer the trip charge would be another $106. He said he could come back "maybe" the following day. I said are you going to charge me to get a part, and he said yes, the $106 is the round trip fee, even though I can't fix it today.

I told him he could be on his way and I would pay the $39 trip charge and he could put my sprayer back. While he was doing that; I picked up my phone and called a plumber I used in the past and they said they could come out before end of day. Needless to say; the other plumber came out in less than 2 hours, identified the problem in less than 2 minutes, fixed the O-Ring; and guess what? My original sprayer and faucet are still there and there is no longer a leak all for $135!!!

Baker Brothers Plumbing is a complete joke, a complete rip-off, and a company that you will regret using unless you are ok with getting overcharged and can wait all day for a job to be completed in less than 20 minutes total.

Their estimate was 388.00 to replace a washer on a leaking tub faucet. This was $200 plus over the highest average cost online. There were no other problems. They stated they were charging over one hundred dollars to go to home depot and buy the part. REALLY? Ripped me of for 39.00 to come out and screw me.

I had originally written the review below. Since then I've been extremely disappointed. The city inspector showed up before the plumber so he failed the repairs. The plumber's excuse was that "they don't even start until 8:00". Right, Einstein, the inspector showed up at 8:10 and you got here at 8:45. Huge inconvenience. Then they did an absolutely terrible job of filling in the trenches they dug in the back yard. The plumber's excuse "it will settle with a little bit of rain" After 5 inches of rain last night I still have a pile of dirt two feet high and four feet long. They do a good job, the guys are professional, but their finish up work is the worst. It's like their attitude is "I'm outta here, can't be bothered" I can no longer recommend them.

Atmos energy detected a leak in our outside gas line and turned off our gas. I went to the Baker Brothers website and entered an "emergency" request that evening. They called within 15 minutes and had a team out the next day at 8am. That team spent most of the day digging up the back yard in 90+ degree temps and ultimately fixed the outside leak, but apparently there was an inside leak as well. Today we have two other guys fixing the inside leak. While this has been very expensive, I must commend the Baker Brothers staff as being very polite, clean cut, and professional. I highly recommend them.

Beware Beware Beware!!!!!! I rarely write reviews but I could not keep silent on this one.

Called Baker Brothers after the water in the house started running luke warm/cold. The tech came in, barely looked at the units and advised that both water heaters had gone bad...at the same time...and needed to be replaced...for the bargain price of $2098.00!!! When I questioned the probability of both units going out suddenly, at the same time, he said "it happens". He also said that it could possibly be the heat elements but by the time he drained the tanks and replaced the elements, it would cost the same as replacing the entire units, so he advised again on replacement. The entire scene was questionable at best, so I thanked him for his time and sent him on his way.

The next day we went to Home Depot, bought a "high end" heater element for $17.38, and followed the instruction of the very knowledgable sales clerk in the plumbing dept. We went home, drained the tanks, replaced the element and had hot water within a couple hours.

Shame on you Baker Brothers for taking advantage of the public!!!

Had a small leak on an external water spigot outside of my home. Have brick exterior. He came out , glanced at it and pulled out his binder and said, $ 320 . If damaged the brick on wall which he did not need to. Unscrewed spigot and put new one in. 10 minutes worth of work and left a big hole in my wall where you broke the brick to look inside wall. Again, he did not have to damage brick. Could have just rotated spigot counterclockwise to remove and pull out. 10 minutes worth of work and still 320 and left. Overpriced and negligent. Then they call wanting to know how serivce was. Told them 2 out of 10 stars and informed them i would not use their service again.

Our hot water heater started leaking on the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend. We called Baker Brothers at 8:00 am and they were very responsive. However, the tech did not arrive until 1:30 pm. My husband and I had to get the water heater out on our own, because it kept leaking. My husband asked to have the hot water heater raised off of the floor. The tech did not do this. Also, the pan put under the hot water heater is cheap and bent. We had the hot water heater replaced in the front of the house about a year ago by another company. That company raised the hot water heater about 5 to 6 inches off of the floor. The pan under that heater is sturdy. The cost was about $300 less with the other plumber. We would have used them, but they were not open on Memorial weekend. However, I am thankful that Baker Brothers was available and replace the hot water heater the day we called.
