We contacted Badger Bob's to replace our upstairs water heater. They were told exactly what the job was. They provided us with a written price quote. When the service technician showed up, he was unprepared to do the job. He then took a look around our home (which is a nice and expensive home) and wanted to immediately discuss the price quote. When we showed it him, he then needed to go out to his truck and call his dispatcher to get a """"second person to help him with the job"""". When he came back in, all of the sudden he told us that he can't do it today, no one is available to help him, and he could not even reschedule it now. It was obvious that he did not want to do the job and was just walking out. When I went to the garage for him to turn the electric breaker for the water heater back on, he essentially told me that they are going to need to charge me a lot more for the job because """"it's going to take a lot more than we realized"""". In summary, this was a bait and switch job. As soon as they saw my home, they tried to charge me more. When they saw that they couldn't because we had a price quote in writing, they just walked out on the job. This left me with a broken water heater and no one to fix it that day. Very unprofessional!

Do not patronize this business. Very deceptive business practices relating to job estimates and actual costs. Jobs are """"package"""" deals. I was shocked to be handed an invoice for $1620 to replace a nine year old Home Depot water heater covered (at no cost) under warranty through Rheem. No contact available for after hours problems/ concerns. Poor communication and customer service.

I have called their warrenty department for 3 weeks and I never get in touch with them. Either they are busy or on Vacation. 1 Star Now they are calling me about signing up for Badger Bobs AC maintainence. No thanks

The operations manager called and apologized for the change and offered to complete the repair on the date I selected for a little discounted rate. They did the repair and it works fine now, I will give them a second chance in the future.

Contacted Badger Bobs from a neighbors referral and boy I wish I had not. The 3 year old AC unit, which was still under warranty stopped blowing air. Badger Bob's was quick to come out and diagnosed the issue. But because it was under warranty they needed to order the part. They definitely were nice by putting in a patch to get the house cooling down until the part arrived but at a huge cost. I was not only charged for the first service call ($55.00) but a flat fee of $250.00 to order, process the paper work and install the part that was under warranty. The work took less than an hour. I so appreciated them putting in a part to bridge the gap between the time they ordered the part and finished the install but a FLAT FEE of $250.00 seems a bit much. Why even have a warrenty? I cannot imagine the cost if I did not have a warranty. I would be cautious and get all pricing prior to them performing any work.

I've been using Badger Bob's for about 3 years for my HVAC needs for two HVAC units doing twice a year maintenance on them and repairs if needed. So far they've been very good. Both units were originally installed by other HVAC companies, one of which went out of business a few years after installing. After that unit needed repair, it wasn't clear if the manufacturer's extended 10-year warranty covered labor or not. I called the office and received a prompt call back from Armando the operations manager and he was very professional and took care of it, as labor was covered. About a week ago, I renewed for another year, and I look forward to continuing with them for a long time.

Had a sewer backup and they came promptly and found blockage in the lines. Cleared line to main and reset 3 toilets for $850. Didnt hesitate to pay. Not two days later same backup issue and we called them to come back. They have billed an additional $350 for the blockage and when we complained they responded """"we cant guarantee our work"""". Say what? Haven't even thought of paying the 2nd invoice. Beware!

Pat Requested mini split service (which they had originally installed). It was not cooling well. The tech Juan said it needed cleaning and UV lights. The following week another technician (Junior) who came to install the UV lights. Junior struggled for over 2 hours and could not finish the job. After that time, he said the real problem was that the blower was faulty and that Juan had misdiagnosed the problem. He did not reassemble the unit as he was coming back the following day with a new blower and that the blower would be """"free of charge"""". That was weird that Badger Bob's would not charge me for it. I am positive he broke the fan while he was trying to put the UV lights on and therefore he was not charging me for a new blower. He returned the following day with the blower and still could not assemble the unit back. He called another technician for help and then broke the wheel of the mini split. Still today, no response from BBob's customer service and I have no A/C in my garage. If you can avoid this company, do it!!

After three calls and no help, I have still not received a quote for a new water heater. I have been told by the operator that the plumbing manager has the information and will get back to me soon. Its been four days and no quote nor a heads about anything. If you feel like being hung out to dry give them a try. I really wanted to give the business to them and they are just around the corner from my home.
