I tried this company because of the 4.5 star review. BUT really disappointed. I had asked for service and never got a confirmation call back. When I called back, the lady gave me excuses about being busy and just said ""if you need service now, call another plumber!"" Well, that is just not how you do business. I said fine, I will call another plumber. Then she called me back saying that the plumber will be there in an hour. We were all at the house working. She called me back in an hour saying no one was there. Apparently, the plumber went just after the conversation and not in ""one hour"" as she communicated. We were just picking up some parts. HORRIBLE communication. If you want to just pull your hair out trying to get an appointment with a plumber, go with this company.

This is my first use of Yelp! and my first review. It sounded like a water pipe had burst in my wall, about 9pm. Finding no water in the house, I shut off all the water, and the sound stopped. B & I Plumbing had great reviews, and I called and talked to Ivo and his wife Bea; he agreed to come early the next day before his first job. It sounded major when I cranked it on for him, and he came back a second time when I could be there. He climbed through a hatch under the stairs and down under the house, I cranked the water on again, and he said it had to be outside the house, no water down there! We went out into the back yard, and there was my hose running full bore! Unless someone climbed my 6-ft. fence and cranked it on, I suspect it was the raccoons climbing my grape arbor, as they do almost nightly, somehow stepping on the faucet right under where they climb. I felt so foolish! It did sound like the hose running high, but I didn't check it!

I felt even worse when Ivo said he wouldn't charge me! He made two trips to my house, he and Bea took multiple calls from me, and he said he would be happy with a positive review on Yelp! I called off my insurance company, reported the good news to friends and family, and even though I'm nervous about writing a great review, B & I Plumbing deserve the best! I will certainly call them again when I need a plumber, and I recommend them to anyone needing plumbing help!

I called these guys because of their excellent reviews on here and my experience was awful. I had to call them repeatedly after not getting calls back as promised, I could never get a specific time as to when he would come out, and the woman who I dealt with couldn't or wouldn't answer any of my questions and always said her husband, the plumber couldn't be reached until after 11 PM! It's pretty simple...we live in a decent size town with plenty of other plumbers. I'm not going to give my hard earned money away to a business who lacks common decency and whose communication is severely lacking. Do yourself a favor, and don't call this place!
Update: the plumber Ivo was very nice, it was his wife who I dealt with who was difficult. And upon seeing this review, she called to harass me!! Now that is the epitome of unprofessional.

This review is long overdue. Ivo has been my go-to plumber for a couple of years now. He's just plain awesome! He did a gorgeous job re-plumbing and installing new fixtures on a restored 1920s pedestal sink and tub a couple years ago. During the job, he also trouble shot some issues I was having with a toilet of the same era and fixed it for free. He was extremely easy to work with - very responsive, prompt, patiently answered questions, and did it all with a great sense of humor and professionalism. His prices were beyond reasonable. Needless to say, when my water heater blew up this winter, I knew Ivo was the guy to call. As usual, it was a great experience. Ivo walked me through all the pros and cons of replacing my existing tank style water heater with a similar model or with an outdoor tankless option. I decided on the latter. It was a huge job involving moving gas lines, getting city permits and inspections, and other fun stuff. Ivo did an extraordinary job throughout the entire process. The new water heater looks great and has functioned without a glitch for three months now. I've referred many friends and neighbors to Ivo over the years and none have anything but huge thanks and positive experiences to share. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, honest plumber with reasonable prices and exceptional customer service then look no further, you've found it at B&I Plumbing.

Had a crazy plumbing emergency with our kitchen sink last night and we called Ibo, he came over within 10 minutes (at 8pm) and helped us get it resolved within 20 minutes. He was super nice and knowledgeable. We were so thankful for all of his help and great service!

I will admit that I am the kind of guy that will try to fix everything by myself. But sometimes you have to call for help. Ivo and his team are the ones that I will call for my Sacramento home in Oak Park. (For other reviewers who say he won't) He came right to the house in the morning as promised. They went right to work and cleared two lines. Affordable and pleasant. Highly recommend.

To all the other yelpers who complain about never being contacted or getting a no call no show. Here's my exact experience:

I called the number. Didn't get an answer. The voice mail greeting gives a cell number to call or text if they don't answer. I text the number at 9pm. Boom got a response right away, set up an appointment for the very next day. Stayed in contact through text all the way up till when Ivo called me and said he was 30 min away. (He showed up in 15)

Bottom line the communication was easy and straight forward if you use your brain and listen to their instructions.

Thanks Ivo for all your help. Now we can poop and see it go bye bye.

Great plumber! He fixed a major problem due to an incompetent plumber and told us that much of his work is fixing botched jobs by plumbers who don't really know the trade. He has even taught an apprentice program, which is a good thing since he really know what he is doing. And he is very reasonable--charging less than most. Really a very nice person too-- the kind of person you feel good about inviting into your home. You can not go wrong with B & I Plumbing!

I'm a renter, and the owner lives on the East Coast. When our water heater was leaking and the pilot light kept going out, another larger plumbing establishment (and I use that term loosely) told the landlord that the water heater needed to be replaced and a lot of other little items that added up to $3100! I called Ivo, upon a recommendation, and he came out, replaced an attachment hose that was leaking and FIXED the problem for $180! He was professional, clean, courteous, honest and dependable!

I couldn't be happier with B & I Plumbing, they're the real-deal, honest, hardworking family business!

I am very happy that we hired B&I Plumbing. We called late evening after a plumbing emergency expecting to find an answering machine, but were pleasantly surprised when we reached the owner's wife. She took our information and squeezed us into the schedule the next day.

Ivo came on time, and quickly got to work. I am very satisfied with the job and the fair pricing we received. I also appreciate how he provided tips to maintain our pipes and save us money in the long run.

I will definitely hire them again, and will not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.
