Austin Area Plumbing is the best. Their man, Eddie Pollack, is top notch. His professionalism, knowledge and personality illustrated to me what Customer Service used to be like. He arrived on time and ready to get started. In less than 30 minute he had the old water softener unit out and was preparing the copper lines for the new one. The physical install was accomplished in 30 or 40 minutes. The subsequent programming of the valve took about 10 minutes. Eddie checked and rechecked all connections for leaks. One was discovered and the root cause was quickly repaired.

I recommend Austin Area Plumbing and Mr. Pollack to anyone needing plumbing work. He personifies professionalism and a sense of pride in his work. He demonstrated an earnest willingness for helping the customer understand what is required and what will be performed. I plan on using them for all my future plumbing work.

We called several local plumbing companies for quotes to replace our two 13 year-old water heaters before disaster struck. The first quote was astoundingly high with the technician telling us with all the new code regulations we should expect something in the range of $4500 for the pair; one in the garage and one in the attic. Ouch! With a family member just replacing hers, we knew the quote was a bit high. The second quote was completely baffling; with no bottom line ever being added to the paper and lots of confusion as to what exactly we would be paying for. Strike two. We then called Austin Area Plumbing. Edward came out and thoroughly broke down the costs associated with each water heater, put them down on paper and threw in a few discounts for good measure. We were confident he knew his business after meeting with him and so we hired the company to start with our upstairs unit. When Edward arrived on the job he was prompt, prepared and even though it was really a 2-man job, he did not hesitate to start the work himself and it was done in no time. Afterward, he made sure everything was working properly and all waste materials were removed from our property. Kudos to this company for a great work ethic and fair pricing.

After 8 hours my home warranty company called me back to say they couldn't find me a plumber on Sunday after Christmas to fix my leak at my hot water heater. I had to shut the water off to the house to stop the leak. They said I could choose to find someone on my own & get reimbursed. Wish they would have told me this earlier in the day. So I was referred by my plumbing contractor (who was out of town) to call Austin Area Plumbing. They said they would call me back within the hour & they did. Curtis was at my house by 5:15 pm, within 1 hour of my initial call. He fixed the issue, was friendly and courteous. And even though I will be reimbursed for most of the cost, I thought the cost was very reasonable for an after hours, holiday weekend call. Thank you Austin Area Plumbing!

We originally found this company on Yelp when we had an emergency sewer stoppage on a Saturday in our house. We called several companies but no one could help us same-day. Curtis from Austin Area Plumbing and Drain Cleaning came out same-day, and he was very friendly and helpful. He tried to clear the line with a snake, but the issue was more complicated than that. He recommended that we call the City, and they came out and let us know (after diagnosing with the camera) that our 1900's Orangeburg main sewer line had to be completely replaced. What?!? We called around for several quotes for this big job, but we always came back to Curtis and this company. They gave us a competitive quote, and we just trusted them (based on our experience and their Yelp reviews). This past week, they completely excavated our old nasty pipe and replaced it with brand new PVC pipe. They were very professional, friendly, and always available by phone (and in person) to check on the status of the job. My biggest issue with companies is how they communicate. Curtis and Dennis kept us in the loop at all times and were honest and forthcoming about the work. We are so pleased and would recommend them to anyone! Let's hope this pipe does ok... :)

Pierre & Colin are the jam! They've been out to our house a couple times and have helped us with everything from our hot water heater, navigating the murky waters of Austin permitting & sink and fixture installation. Efficient and fairly priced, plus they're just cool guys that you don't mind having hang around your home. Which can I say is a huge bonus because a lot of contractors huff and puff and make me feel dumb for not knowing how to fix things. Not so with these guys! I like them so much that I even plan to invite them to our housewarming party once we're done with renovations. A+

OMG, the last thing you ever want to see on a Monday is a WET spot in the middle of the floor. That's right, we had a burst pipe in the slab.
Pierre Dupree with Austin area Plumbing came right out was able to figure out which one it was, cap the pipe then route new pipe up the wall, through the attic and back down to the manifold. I gladly paid a very fair price for his experience.
Here's what I didn't know about him. He's been on just about every continent, held plumbing licenses in different countries and has been "problem solving" for over 15 years. He is a solution finder and can help you with everything water related
Call Pierre and meet one of the most intelligent people you'll ever meet.

P.S. I asked him to "tweek" my water pressure up just a bit and he was able to do that too. Now my water sprinkler with actually be able to twirl instead of just weakly hobbling around.

P.S. I wish there were 10 stars, I'd give him that for sure.

I worked with this company recently on a leak in my yard. I just love the owner, and they are great to work with! I would highly recommend them because of the work ethic, their integrity for a job well done, and their uncompromising compassion for their clients! It is just hard to find that in a plumbing company. If you have any issues, always ask for Dennis (the owner). He will always make sure you are a happy customer.

We have been given the run-around on our hot water heater for several years. Our home is only 6 years old, but we have had trouble with the tankless hot water heater from Rheem nearly since the beginning. Our hot water goes out regularly (every year) even though we have it flushed about every 6 months. I decided to try Pierre this time, because no other plumber has been able to fix the problem so that it does not keep happening. Pierre came out and flushed the system the same day that we had a new water softener installed (yes, more problems.) When Pierre left, everything was in working order (hot water and good pressure.) A few days later, the hot water heater went out again. Rheem has no clue how to make tankless heaters and are currently in court with a lawsuit against them for this problem. Pierre told us the problem would continue to happen with that heater and that we needed a new one. Considering our numerous previous experiences, we knew this to be true. He installed a new one for us and credited us for the job he previously did in flushing the system. Pierre did an excellent job and I highly recommend him.

I will now use these guys!!! Had two sets of plumbers out who said I needed a crew to do the work in my shower and that they couldn't do it. Went through all the trouble of turning water off in the complex cause both plumbers said it had to be done this way. Bought the equipment for the job and Jesse showed up.. No problem. I will have this done in no time... Oh but don't you have to do turn water off and take out the whole handle.. Nope.. who told you that? The job was done fast, he was polite and clean. Bam!!! It just feels different when you can just get the job done and have no worries.
