Plumbing problems used freak me out. They can be minor or turn into major expenses and I'm never quite sure at the outset. But since meeting and hiring ATP plumbing several times now, I now trust that my little old crumbling home is being well looked after. I'm confident in Tom, his abilities, experience, and most of all his judgment. He always points mer in the right direction and is always focused on doing things the right way.

ATP Plumbing is run by two of the most kind, conscientious, and skilled plumbers I've ever met. For years, ATP serviced our Bay Area non-profit. They did an amazing job installing our tankless water heaters, kitchen and bathroom remodels, and a variety of tricky emergency projects resulting from our 113 year-old historical building. Now that I've been spoiled, I don't think I could ever use another plumbing contractor. You can't go wrong with these guys.

I had a failing Bosch tankless water heater that was marginally repairable. I called about 10 plumbers, including some Bosch factory guys. Of the ones who returned my calls, some said they couldn't get to it for a week, some said they don't work on Bosch,
some came out and weren't sure what to do. I finally found Tom of ATP who came out and told me repairing it wasn't a good investment. I agreed and he had a new Noritz installed in a few days. So far it works fine.
Trustworthy, efficient and reasonable. I will definitely call on Tom when the next plumbing problem comes up.

Our 1911 house was having some serious plumbing issues -- the hot water feeds were blocked in a bathroom and a sink. We called in one recommended plumber, who took one look and said, ""can't do it -- wait till you remodel and take out the interior walls."" Tom spent a lot of time figuring out a solution and gave a plausible estimate of the job. Then, when he and his Tibetan associate, Paldgye, came, they figured out an even cheaper and better way to fix the problem. The work itself Padgye did in an extremely careful, workmanlike way -- taking out no more wall than necessary, creative in refitting the new plumbing, and cleaning up entirely. Plumbing is never cheap but their prices and time spent were fair. As another review here says, consider your research done.

Wow! They go back to me. Tom and Anam came on time, took care of everything quickly, didn't create a huge mess to clean up and charged me a very fair price. I didn't have to call multiple times to see if they were showing up. The quality of the work was top notch. I am a VERY happy customer.

I liked my experience with ATP immensely.
I'm a residential customer: ATP moved our washer service, did a new hose bib and swapped out ultra-sub par pipe from the main to the house.
Tom, the jefe, is injured and so does the quotes, plans and wrangles materials. He's immensely knowledgeable and a great pleasure to talk to.
Anam Paldgyee, the Chief Plumbing Officer--and who I interacted with most--showed me around what he was doing and explained why (I understand my house's wonky plumbing much better now). He asked me at key decision points what I wanted to do, and fixed minor misunderstandings without complaint. Paldgyee is the Platonic ideal of a plumber, in short.
Cameron--ATP's apprentice--is great too, always ready to talk about the particulars of the job, and was ultra-helpful in reporting on things he'd seen that I need (as a homeowner) to deal with.
Maybe the biggest kudos to Paldgyee and Cameron: while they were working under our house (in our nasty, claustrophobic crawlspace), I was under there too, dogsbodying for our electricians and witnessed their heroism. They lay in sloppy, muddy earth for four odd hours installing new drains and a new hosebib. Paldgyee's remark on exiting (soaked) was ""it's part of the job"". Goodness, but I'd have choicer words.
The price: they charged us their very reasonable bid, despite the hose bib being clearly more time and materials consuming than expected.
A warning though: ATP's not so hot on the scheduling aspect of customer service. I, at least, needed to phone often to discover when in, say, a window of a week, things would happen. In short: you need to be proactive.
Summation: I hope to hire ATP again. You should too.

I am so grateful for the help I got from ATP Plumbing. I have a home warranty, so first when my downhill neighbor started complaining about excessive water pouring down from my property I called the warranty company and had them send someone out to fix the backyard sump pump, which pumps the rainfall out to the street.
It turns out that though the warranty plumber was willing to charge me the $60 service call co-pay, he was unable to fix the problem. First because the pump was in the yard, not the house, so not covered by the warranty. And second because the pump was working, just not able to get water out to the street. He wanted to charge me an arm and a leg just to try snaking it, with no guarantee it would work.
Well I decided that if I was paying out of pocket, I might as well shop around. I'm so glad I did. Though ATP had to come out twice because it turns out the pipe was clogged with dried concrete (probably from previous road construction) that a snake couldn't break through, on the second trip they got the job done. They identified the exact 3 foot area within the 100 or so feet of piping to dig out and cut, then were able to use a combination of the snake and water pressure to clear out the sections to either side of the 1 foot impasse area. And the charge for both visits wasn't much more than what the other guy was going to charge me for just trying the snake, which wouldn't have worked. I'm really happy with the results and will definitely turn to them for all plumbing needs in the future.

Anam is a joy to have as a plumber. He came right away when we called, and was so efficient and friendly and....knowledgable! Our old house had a multitude of plumbing anomalies and previously botched jobs, some seemingly unresolvable. Anam got in there and solved all of them virtuosically and quickly. The work was not only solid, but also even pretty to look at! I would recommend ATP anytime and anywhere.

Excellent plumber. Tom & Anam showed up when they said they would, with the parts that they promised to bring, and did the work quickly & cleanly.
There was an added twist to the job that was discovered mid-way through the process. Instead of apocalyptic warnings of ""if you don't replace this for x amount of added $ for parts and labor,"" Tom suggested a couple of options and went with what we chose. It was very refreshing not to deal with someone trying to ""upsell."" I think if I had gone with a chain, I would've had to deal with this kind of thing- instead Tom & Anan & ATP did us right!

Congratulations - if you are reading this, I assume you're looking for a plumber, and now your research is done. Pick up the phone and call Tom at ATP right now. He is THE BEST. Super helpful, thoughtful, goes above and beyond the call of duty. My hot water heater broke. Gave him a call in the evening, he was there the next morning. Instead of right away suggesting just replacing it, he called the number on the tank, talked to the manufacturer, explained the problem... they sent out a replacement part. It arrived the next day (Saturday), and I called and left him a message, letting him know it's here, and hoping he could come out on Monday to install the part. So then a few hours later the phone rings, and Tom came over Saturday aftenoon to install the part, so that we didn't have to go the weekend without hot water. He knows his stuff, is a really nice guy, and provides great and honest service. Again, your work is now done, you need a plumber, so call ATP now.
