I am so grateful for the help I got from ATP Plumbing. I have a home warranty, so first when my downhill neighbor started complaining about excessive water pouring down from my property I called the warranty company and had them send someone out to fix the backyard sump pump, which pumps the rainfall out to the street.
It turns out that though the warranty plumber was willing to charge me the $60 service call co-pay, he was unable to fix the problem. First because the pump was in the yard, not the house, so not covered by the warranty. And second because the pump was working, just not able to get water out to the street. He wanted to charge me an arm and a leg just to try snaking it, with no guarantee it would work.
Well I decided that if I was paying out of pocket, I might as well shop around. I'm so glad I did. Though ATP had to come out twice because it turns out the pipe was clogged with dried concrete (probably from previous road construction) that a snake couldn't break through, on the second trip they got the job done. They identified the exact 3 foot area within the 100 or so feet of piping to dig out and cut, then were able to use a combination of the snake and water pressure to clear out the sections to either side of the 1 foot impasse area. And the charge for both visits wasn't much more than what the other guy was going to charge me for just trying the snake, which wouldn't have worked. I'm really happy with the results and will definitely turn to them for all plumbing needs in the future.

Anam is a joy to have as a plumber. He came right away when we called, and was so efficient and friendly and....knowledgable! Our old house had a multitude of plumbing anomalies and previously botched jobs, some seemingly unresolvable. Anam got in there and solved all of them virtuosically and quickly. The work was not only solid, but also even pretty to look at! I would recommend ATP anytime and anywhere.

Excellent plumber. Tom & Anam showed up when they said they would, with the parts that they promised to bring, and did the work quickly & cleanly.
There was an added twist to the job that was discovered mid-way through the process. Instead of apocalyptic warnings of ""if you don't replace this for x amount of added $ for parts and labor,"" Tom suggested a couple of options and went with what we chose. It was very refreshing not to deal with someone trying to ""upsell."" I think if I had gone with a chain, I would've had to deal with this kind of thing- instead Tom & Anan & ATP did us right!

Congratulations - if you are reading this, I assume you're looking for a plumber, and now your research is done. Pick up the phone and call Tom at ATP right now. He is THE BEST. Super helpful, thoughtful, goes above and beyond the call of duty. My hot water heater broke. Gave him a call in the evening, he was there the next morning. Instead of right away suggesting just replacing it, he called the number on the tank, talked to the manufacturer, explained the problem... they sent out a replacement part. It arrived the next day (Saturday), and I called and left him a message, letting him know it's here, and hoping he could come out on Monday to install the part. So then a few hours later the phone rings, and Tom came over Saturday aftenoon to install the part, so that we didn't have to go the weekend without hot water. He knows his stuff, is a really nice guy, and provides great and honest service. Again, your work is now done, you need a plumber, so call ATP now.

I have had no luck with plumbers prior to ATP. It seems like a relatively straight forward job of stopping a leak from the tank into the bowl , but after changing the flap myself and not attaining success for long, I tried engaging three different plumbers to help solve the issue. One was from a noted big company who did a ""quick fix"", charged me for it and then suggested to come out again for further ""fixes"". On the day itself, he texted me that he is on the way but stood me up. So I admit that I come to ATP with plumbing baggages.
Tom was punctual at our appointment (a good sign) to access the situation and suggested changing the fill valve and flush valve all together for that toilet. However he charged me his hourly rate for being there for 30 mins and changing out two other flappers in the other bathrooms. He did not have the parts for the problematic toilet and will have to come back. With my prior plumbing history, I held my breath wondering if this is another plumbing company that I would have to write off too. On the day of the fix, he brought his co-worker ""Po Gee"" with him. They came on time again which was good. They spent an hour and a half taking things apart and putting it all together. AND then, it DID NOT WORK. Imagine my stress level at that, and the thought that they would still charge me for two hours plus parts. Po Gee was SUPERB. Sensing my unhappiness, he suggested leaving the charges as is, but that they would take the mechanism apart again and try another method. Tom and him took the tank outside, looked under the sunlight for any fracture and then proceeded to put everything back. They even did a test to see that the water holds before putting things back. All in all, they went the extra mile and made things work without leaving me hanging.
I do commend them on their work ethics. Plumbing is part of a service industry. Apart from the technical skills, there is a need to communicate well with the customers and then provide the customer with a sense of value for their services. I am glad that ATP has helped me restore some faith in plumbers and they will be who I go to if there is any other plumbing issues. They would have gotten the five stars if I had known what their hourly charge was right up front at our first appointment.

We had a pedestal sink brea!k, and called a few plumbers. Tom of ATP plumbing got right back to us, and made an apt. for the next day. His guy Anam came out, and quickly installed the sink (other plumbers who called said pedestal sinks could be tricky and sounded like they did not want to do it). He was clean, fast, and ultra polite. When he gave us the bill, it was really fair. We have found our new plumber!

Pleasure to work with, on time, & reasonable. Tom and his guys are always friendly and good about being clean in the house. They installed a Toto shower valve and bathtub and all went well. Even after the valve was not working properly, they stayed on it and made sure everything was going just as it should. Which with this Toto valve is not easy. Knowing what I know now I would pick a different valve. There was even a special order part that were not include with the valve (extension kit for the very thick walls) that they looked up and located, and came to install once it came in. All went well. Job well done

For routine tasks, like replacing toilets and bathtubs, ATP does fine work. Very quality-conscious, and none of that dawdling like some craftspeople are known to do just to run up their per-hour charges.
Earlier this year, however, when I hired them to install brand new stacked washer-dryers, I of course relied on Tom to figure out the best - and proper - way to vent my dryers to the great outdoors. So I was astounded when we flunked the City's rough-in inspection - and when Tom asked the inspector why he could not vent a dryer through another living unit's walls. . . . In fairness, though, all the do-over work was at ATP's expense. And now I know to ask them more-probing questions if I need anything other than the most straightforward plumbing work done on my building.

Tom at ATP is the best. When posed with a problem, he delivers on a solution. He is honest, dedicated and definitely went the extra mile for us. We've been plagued with tankless water heater issues and finally found Tom (wish we'd gone to him in the first place!!!) who not only tended to the issue but showed us how to circumvent the problem should it arise again. So glad to have Tom as a resource!

Forever I've lived in Austin, Texas. Now we live here (& are so thankful!) But, it's a big deal to leave a state where your roots go back several generations & so do those of your plumber friend.
One night putrid, black water started spewing out onto the patio. Then
it began to trickle into our apartment (funky place carved out of a house/beautiful view)
That little trickle soon developed into a nonstop flow & at warp speed 30% of the room ended up covered in raw sewage.
Although this was a Sunday night Tom Peterse.T.P. Plumbing came to the rescue.
The solution wasn't as straightforward as you might expect.
Yep, the pump needed to be cut off, so no more white -capping filthy stuff spewed out, but some uninformed person (or persons) had installed the cut-off electric switch so near the septic water line that it was wet. Tom was faced with a dirty & dangerous job that Sunday night.
Thank you for stopping the nightmare. Thank you for sending Palgyee, your delightful assistant, the next day to install a new coupling (& later, a new toilet).
