My name is Alex, and I’m 38 years old. One year back, my family, which includes my wife and our seven-year-old son, transitioned from Ukraine to the USA. This move was necessary due to the war in our homeland. We aimed to find a secure and stable future away from the turmoil.
Moving to a different country brings many hurdles and changes. For us, it meant not just embracing a new culture and language but also discovering fresh opportunities for work and education. With over ten years of experience in the construction sector in Ukraine, I opted to carry on in this profession in the USA.
Currently, I work as a handyman. This position involves a variety of skills, such as plumbing, minor repairs, electrical work, and carpentry. I take pleasure in this role as it enables me to keep learning and help others in their daily routines.
