Company Overview

Count on us to be there when you need support. Providing outstanding services in plumbing, AC, drain cleaning, water treatment, indoor air quality, and sprinkler systems. Serving with pride Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties since 1983.

During the early 1980s, following tough economic challenges in the Northeast, Arthur and Marie D'Attile, along with their son Gregg, who was 21 at the time, made a significant decision to move to South Florida.

After settling in Coral Springs, Art obtained his Broward County Master Plumbers License and on August 15, 1983, the D'Attile family established Art Plumbing.

By 1990, the company shifted its focus to service, repair, replacement, drain cleaning, and maintenance of plumbing systems for commercial, industrial, and residential needs. In 1996, we broadened our services to encompass air conditioning and indoor air quality, and in 2016, we incorporated electrical services, rebranding as Art Plumbing, AC & Electric.

Currently, Art Plumbing, AC & Electric is recognized as the top choice for plumbing, air conditioning, and electrical services in South Florida.

Being a third-generation contractor, I have called Coral Springs, Florida, home since 1983, where I have raised my family.

Throughout the years, I have engaged with many industry associations and served on City and County boards, including the Broward County Licensing Board for Plumbers, President of the Florida Association of Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors, and I am presently the Chairman of the Broward County Board of Rules and Appeals.

I have been privileged to coach countless youth sports teams over the years, too many to list. I follow the Golden Rule: ""Treat others how you want to be treated"". We have proudly served Coral Springs and South Florida since 1983, and it is our pleasure to give back to the communities we inhabit, work in, and enjoy.

I work closely with our team at Art Plumbing, AC & Electric to ensure they strive for excellence every day, in every way.

Wish there was negative stars for the rating! I Called Art plumbing to come out because my ice and water in my refrigerator was not working. My husband had ruled out that it was the appliance but was in the water coming into the appliance .The service person told me I needed to replace the plastic box and a new valve that go into the wall. When I questioned it he said it was a lot of work. It took him about 45 minutes to replace it if even that. They charge me $750 for a part that cost about $30 for the valve and the box wasn't even needed because I already had one. Fast forward to that same evening that it was replaced. It was not working. I called the company and they sent somebody else out the next morning. The man messed with it for about 40 minutes he finally decided to look under the sink . The last guy that was out forgot to turn the valve on!! I explained everything to the new tech ( who was super nice ) and he called his supervisor to see if he could get some of our money back. He was told that they would waive my service fee. I got the owners name and will call him on Monday .Based on the reviews I see He will not be much help.I was ripped off by this company and would never use them ever again! This is a level of service you get from this company. They rip overcharge and rip you off! buyer beware!

I called because I needed my flush valve assembly replaced. Normally this is something I can do myself but I didn't have the part and work was keeping me busy. I called today and a technician responded same day. After he looked at what had to be done I was quoted multiple numbers all around $600 and some over $1,000. I couldn't believe a 30 minute job at most and a $45 part would cost me $600. I obviously said no and I was still charged $59 for the service fee. Total rip off, I stopped working and went to the local plumbing supply store, bought the part and changed it in under 30 minutes. If you want to be taken for the $59 call Art Plumbing because they will rip you off when they get there with a price nobody can afford. I called the customer service number and I was told that is their pricing and there is nothing they can do. The technician was professional and this is not his fault, Art Plumbing is out there to over charge people for very minor work.

These are salesmen, not repairmen. Three companies gave me a $900 price for Water Heater replacement over the phone. Art will only write estimates after you agree to the $59 service fee. Their best quote, of four proposals, was $1600! (with a service contract). After I hung up with the salesman the manager called me and gave me his best price of $1200. It's selling 101. Even if they were the best plumbers on the planet, you are not getting your money's worth.

So, I called Art after someone I listen to on the radio said how wonderful and great they were and they didn't charge extra for weekend service. That was my first mistake. So, Saturday our ac stopped blowing cool. We called around to a few places but they wanted large sums of money for a weekend service call. But by Sunday, it was hot and I said let's call Art. So we did. $59 for the service call. Sounds reasonable. And that's where it all went downhill. The dryer line to the ac unit had a leak and all of our freon had leaked out. Total cost to fix the issue $1187.00!!! They wanted $100 per pound for freon!! The bill didn't even list what we were paying for each item, just the total. Needless to say we didn't let them fix it. We called another company who came out first thing Monday and fixed it for $488 total. I'm annoyed I gave them $59 of my money but lesson learned. If it seems too good to be true, it usually is. Beware!! Update: Art's estimate was for 5 lbs of freon. My unit ended up needing 8 lbs. so add an additional $300 to Art's cost ($1487.00) compared to the $488 I paid.

If I could give them no stars, I would! We had our water heater bust out this morning, they wouldn't give a quote and said it was going to cost $1500 to replace it. Not sure who gave these people a license to do business but it should be taken away. Unbelievable! Steer Clear! Do not hire them!

felt like I was being taken advantage of by them. I requested a quote for a new water heater and they informed me that they would only be able to give me a price if they came to my residence for a $59 charge. I wasn't very happy with it but I accepted because I intended to do the work with them anyway. But as i was scheduling the visit I mentioned that I am also interested in changing two garage door openers. That's when they tell me that for this it would cost an additional $59 charge. I asked if the person that was already going there couldn't at least give me a price range for the installation, and the answer was """"No"""" which is not true. I feel like they tries to scam me for the visit, when other companies do not charge for it. What guarantees do we have that they won't just come out there, give a ridiculous price that is not aligned with market prices and just make a quick $118 for nothing? I would stay away from them!

If I could choose no stars I would! This company is filled with liars and crooks who manipulated the cost of items after they couldn't explain why I was overcharged. They also charged me for permits they never pulled and after leaving 5 messages for Wade in the Permit department he never thought to return my call or to check into the status. That was because he thought I'd just go away and allow them to keep the $250 they charged me for bogus permits. They are 100% terrible terrible!! Funny how they don't provide itemized billing..this way they can manipulate the numbers behind the scene. Do not use this company!! They are the worst. I could go on and on with all of the issues since it has been a nightmare for 3 months dealing with them!

My gardener had accidentally bumped into the main valve on my irrigation line and I quickly had a flood in front of my home I have a key of my own to shut the water off but unfortunately everything was so flooded I could not find the shut off valve I called Art's plumbing because I have heard them advertise numerous times and they told me they would have a service man out in about 45 minutes Upon the service mans arrival he was able to shut the water off after about 15 minutes of searching After assessing the damage which consisted of a small piece of PVC 1 inch shut off valve and a few 1 inch parts The service man said he would write an estimate and let me know the cost of the repair The gentleman I talked to initially on the phone told me there would be a $59 service charge plus whatever labor and parts would be When he came back with a $700 plus estimate I told him to write me a bill for what he did and ask him to please leave my property I paid him over $200 to simply shut the valve off and sent him away I had been in the service business for over 50 years before I retired and I don't understand how anybody can justify $700 for a 25 minute service visit and $10 worth of PVC parts which I did myself after I chased the thief away If this is what Arts plumbing is doing to the public something should be done about these gouging tactics They are worst crooks I have ever come in contact with in my 50 years in business I don't know if they prey on older people but please buyer beware! Unfortunately have to give one star to post! They should have no stars!

So, we finally have heat, no thanks to Art's attempt to price gouge us. (What do you call a proposed $850 bill for parts that I KNOW cost you $60?) Anyway, the service tech discovered that the wire prongs to the new part had been purposely cut. Nice way to do business Art! I'm waiting for Art's """"huff and puff"""" response denial. I would urge everyone who has had this type of experience with Art to file a complaint with both the local Better Business Bureau and the state office of consumer affairs. As for Art's threat to sue people who expose the truth, look forward to seeing you on Judge Judy!

So I receive a call from a lady at Art after leaving my previous review, I guess they didn't like that I called them crooks. After I explained to her why I gave them the review I did, she told me her supervisor/manager would give me call. That call never came so I'm lowering my 2 star rating to a 1 star.
