Found an ad promoting sewer line cleaning for $69. A crew of 2 came to the door, looked at the toilet and said it will be $169. A hefty $100 more from running a snake down the toilet. Well, I didn't and do not agree with the price so I told them no thank you and off they went. Rented a toilet snake from Home Depot for $10 and fixed the problem myself.
However, if they would have kept to the advertised price I would have let them do it.

I called for plumbing issues and they came on time and fixed everything. Luis Martinez was very friendly and helpful. He fixed our problems quickly and efficiently. I will definitely be using this company again.

I had issue and the warranty company had to send ARS Rescue Rooter plumber to fix the problem. Everything had to be covered by the company. Firstly, the plumber they have sent to our house was absolutely rude to me and my wife as soon as he entered the house. Secondly, he went to the attic and by looking at the wrong item (I figured this out from his invoice later) he demanded the payments (yes, did not ask, demanded). When I told him that I have to clear it with warranty company he became even a little aggressive and told my wife he has nothing to do here and left house. The plumber name is Juan Bucio (from his invoice).

Please take this as a warning and avoid this company as much as you can. Right now, I would prefer to pay more but have someone who would explain what is the problem. I have two engineering degrees and I can understand all details. I could do repairs myself but it will terminate the warranty.

I hope this review will be helpful

Scheduled Service call Sunday two days prior to given Tuesday service window of 2 to 6, advised at 3:15 service is behind but will be there between 4-6 pm. 5:01 called by Service rep have no details when service will be available, Call at 6:42 pm state 8 pm arrival at 9:30 pm shut off porch light and went to bed no follow up phone call this morning with apology or offer of discount to win back my loyalty, have been using ARS since they were Crown plumbing, Going elsewhere now, not sure how ARS will stay solvent with sure a low customer service response.

Well I should have known not to fall for 69.00 special!
When the man came out it turned into 233.00!!#! That's a long way up! Go with people who quote between 125 and 165. Believe me it can be higher!
I will go with home advisor from now on.

I was shocked at the charge of $300 to re-set my toilet. I had three of them. Last time I had tile put in and had to have toilets reset it was $150 each. That was highway robbery and I will never use them again. The young man who reset the toilets for me was very nice so this is not a complaint again him but against the pricing and am considering turning ARS into the powers that be because it is price gauging.

On Friday 12/11/2015 we had an issue at home when my wife ran the washing machine , water came out from one of the toilets. We called ARS rescue rooter and after going throw the pipe with a snake and after then with a camera they told us that the problem was the main pipe drain below the house/slab which was broken because of roots and need to be replaced with total cost of 32k...insisting us that we have to do it asap to avoid more problems in the foundation.
In order to have a second opinion we had the great idea to call Abacus, we explained the situation to the technician and he did an inspection with a camera on the drain pipe telling us that there was not any root and breaks in the pipe and the problem was caused by built up dirt and grease in it. Later came his supervisor and recommended us to clean it up first with a jet system and check again with a camera..bottom line the problem was solved with this cleaning and we save 32k (ufffff) due to the HONESTY and professionalism of Abacus.
We will never ever call Ars again.

After the first appointment no-show, I rescheduled for the following day. Simple slow drain in my kitchen. Guy comes out looks at my clean out and say $215. I respond "No. I got a coupon that says $69" He grunts and says "Oh. OK."

So he proceeds to start snaking my kitchen drain and tells me to run the hot water. So I run the hot water and water starts pouring into my kitchen!!! This has never happened before. I yell and he stops and tells me I have a broken pipe! Another truck shows up with a camera and they run a line about 2 inches into the drain and tell me yea my pipe is broke. It must have broke a while back because some bricks are stained. He's willing to cut me a deal and fix it for $3000. I tell them no thanks and panic.

Another plumber comes out the next day and surveys the problem. He asks if I tried snaking the drain myself and tell him no ARS came out. He tells me well they must have broke your pipe. He fixes it for $400.

I should sue those wacks.

Had a problem with our furnace not starting up today and called ARS. The Asian gentleman that showed up said he was a Senior Service Technician. He spent 15 minutes in our attic and then told us we needed a new gas valve at a cost of over $600, plus a new starter cap at a cost of over $300. He then proceeded to tell us he didn't have the parts today to fix our furnace, but could completely replace our furnace (even though it is only 11 years old) at a cost of several thousand dollars. We told him we would contact someone else, even though we have used ARS for our heating, air conditioning and plumbing problems for over 20 years. The technician then presented us with a bill for $79.95 for the service call -- even though he couldn't help us. We contacted a different company, but in the meantime my husband was able to fix the furnace himself. Seems the only problem with the furnace was there was a loose connection. Guess the ARS technician during his 15 minutes of troubleshooting our furnace problem didn't get around to checking any connections. I would not recommend using ARS for any of your problems. After they were bought by Rescue Rooter it seems like they are only out to get as much money out of the customer as possible.
