I had this company replace my clean outs in 2018 because my lines were not aligned and was causing it to back up. They charged me 1800 dollars and told me it had been fixed. Well... since then every few months I've had the same issue. Come to find out, they did not fix the problem at all! It looked like they did but far from it. I called them on Christmas Eve and stood right there with the tech as he ran the camera. And I was correct. They swindled me in 2018. They then proceeded to investigate and of course you know, found it was not their fault and proceeded to give me estimates on the cost to fix a problem they told me was fixed in 2018. This company is trash! They also use deceptive tactics in their pricing. If you do use them go to their website and tell them you are using the online coupon. Because if you don't know they won't tell you. Run! Run! Run! They know you need your plumbing working and they will swindle you because they can. The guy who came out on Christmas Eve told me to clear my line it would cost 400 dollars but at discount it would be 300 dollars. I paid, then went online after he left and there was the 99 dollar coupon. I was refunded 200 dollars but I had to present it to them. What a shame! I won't call these idiots ever again. My pipes were fixed today in 3 hours and 1500 dollars compared to their 3800 dollar quote with a discount at 2700 dollars. This company is a pain in the ARS!!!!! Do yourself a favor and go online and you will find widespread lawsuits for consumer fraud.

I was just signed up for HelloFresh emails, which I didn't sign up for, but I just gave my email address to ARS yesterday for a quote on AC work.
I keep my email address pretty tight & use another if I think anything might be scammy or spammy, so at the moment, I can only conclude ARS sold me to HelloFresh. After seeing all the terrible reviews on ARS I figured this might be right up their ally.
If anyone else runs into this make some noise. If HelloFresh bought my email off the dark web & no one else has this same issue I'll take this down.

Rescue Rooter was supposed to send someone out the next day to provide an estimate for replacing a main sewer line after the initial technician discovered tree roots in my current line. However, the next day dispatch calls to tell me the technician was coming later than scheduled because he essentially had a project more important than mine. Then he didn't show up at all, dispatch never called again, and I was pushed aside. Not impressive after just spending $100 to have them at my house the day before. I regularly receive better customer service at fast food restaurants. I expected more professionalism from Rescue Rooter than that.
Reading the other horror stories from these reviews, it looks like it's probably a good thing the second tech never made it out. Looks like I avoid these scam artists.

I called ars rescue rooter yesterday for a problem with our water heater, and they said they could come the same day and look at it. They came out and just looking at the water heater from his eyes he said that we needed a new one. He didn't check anything just glanced at it and said that I needed a new one. Before we decided, they said that they had different finance options and that they would send us an email so we could fill out the form and apply. We waited for 30 mins with no email. I called them back and found out it was never sent. So we got our own loan and were ready to go forward with the install. Already to be done with this. Before the tech left he said to call his office when we were done with the finance / loan, and we would get scheduled for Sunday, so I called again and again and again and again. I get no response from the installation team until that night. The I installation manager if that what she was Laura told me that there was a misunderstanding with us and that they we had to get financed before we can move forward. i said we already have got a loan. She said she wasn't informed after I called 4 different times and was told that they emailed her 4 times. So we wanted to get on the Sunday schedule but then she informs me that we can't get it fixed until Tuesday. I told her that we already agreed on a Sunday, but she said no that there was no time slot until Tuesday. I said I have 7 people in my home with no hot water. She didn't seem to care. She called me today and says we can move you to Monday afternoon and I tell her that we decided to go with someone different with better customer service and you can tell she gets mad on the phone and then she hangs up. She tries to say she called and kept me informed. it I called someone we have used in the past and everything webt smooth with them. I suggest that no one calls this company.

Rescue Rooter - Dallas did a great job repairing my dad's plumbing issues. They came out quickly to get his clogged toilet working again and they repaired a second toilet, even though I did not request that service when I booked the appointment. Shane and Alex, the technicians, were very friendly and professional. I called to schedule the appointment at 4pm and the technicians arrived within 4 hours and I was kept informed of their approximate arrival time. I felt the pricing for the service was reasonable and I would use Rescue Rooter again. Great job, Shane and Alex!

I'm not one to usually write a review, but this one stuck with me. Our AC went out over the weekend and so we called Home Depot's contractors which sent our ARS to us to "fix" our AC. Mind you, we just have a 3 week old at the time and we needed the AC fixed ASAP!
After a "full" diagnosis, they said that my unit was leaking refrigerant and I needed a whole new unit, to which they ended up quoting me 16k for. I asked multiple times if they were sure this was needed and they doubled down. And I also asked if there was a way I could fix it myself? They said there's not a way to fix it yourself unless because of the parts needed, etc. I did not make any purchases that day and got another 2 HVAC people on the area to take a look, because I was not prepared to spend 16k, esp after all the hospital bills with the baby that same month.
After the other HVAC guys came out, I told them what ARS said and they rolled their eyes and said there was absolutely no leak, and the pressure was normal, no need for a new unit at all. The issue was that our thermostat went out the day prior and needed to recalibrate, at the same time my capacitor was blown. I was able to change out the capacitor myself which only took $18 for the part, not 16k... my AC is working like normal now.
I'm just shocked that ARS would repeatedly push for me to replace my unit when in reality it was a fix that I was able to do in 5 minutes and a little bit of research. If I went through with the replacement of the unit, I would be neck deep in payments. I know they get others with this, but I hope this review will make people more hesitant with this company and ALWAYS get a 2nd and/or 3rd opinion. Could save you 16k.

Had them come out twice, same leak issue yet 2 separate bills. Nothing has been done.

Told me one price on the phone and then arrived and added 300.00 to the quoted price because tech couldn't find the clean out and I guess it's 300.00 to climb a ladder onto the roof. They wasted my time. Pick a more reputable company.

Our initial experience with this company was through Lowe's. We purchased a new hot-water-heater and Lowe's arranged for the delivery and installation (we pay for these options, of course). The plumber who installed the water-heater (replacing a 16-year-old heater) was polite, courteous, and did a great job. He had an assistant to help him lift, move, and install. Informed us the "inspection" is done by taking, and submitting, photos of the install to the City of Fort Worth. Okay. A little odd, but maybe that is the Texas (Fort Worth) way of inspecting hot-water heat installations.
Now, for the bad.
A few months later, I decided to get our 2nd-hot-water heater serviced and a shower-drain rootered. I wanted the water-heater flushed and a new anode-rod installed (six-years old). I called ARS/Rescue Rooter because they'd done our Lowe's install--and, silly me, expected similar service. I was told there would be an $85.00 initial consultation fee for the water-heater and then another $85.00 fee for the rooter service of the drain: two services, two service men, two prices. Odd, okay. Whatever. Screw me now. Not done.
I called back (on a weekend) and this time the scheduler (a different one) informed me, "No, one home...one service call. Not two. I'll fix that." Okay. So a few days later when the single plumber shows up (no helper), he asks me straight up, without even walking past the front door, "Have you considered installation a new water heater instead of doing the service?" My response, "Yes, but it is only 6-years old. It works, I want to do maintenance on it now, so I won't HAVE to replace it." He says, "Oh, okay." Then he proceeds to remove the hairball from the shower drain. Yuck. You guys are worth the cost to deal with this stuff.
He moved on to the hot-water-heater. He asks ME if I have a "3/8" socket"? Maybe, but I don't know where it is...(just moved...house is mess). "Well, I'll have to go to Home Depot and pick up one and I'll need to buy a collapse-able anode because I don't have one." I said, "Okay, I've got to go to work, but any questions, please ask my wife." As I pulled out of my garage, I realized he had (supposedly) left to go to Home Depot. Nope. He pulled out of the garage. Sat on the street. And, then, when I left, he promptly went in and told my wife, "You need a new water-heater. This one has too much calcium coming out in the water...slowly...you need this replaced and I'll give you $300 off (same 'coupon price' you get in the mail from Rescue Rooter). He never went to Home Depot. Never left the street. Waited for the man of the house to go. My $600 bill turned into a $2,000.00 bill. He went and bought (or was it in his truck?) a new water-heater (Wife told him what kind our other new one was and that we wanted the same...he put in a 6-year-warranty water-heater. . .different model and brand. . .and installed the pan, the water-heater, and gas lines ALL BY HIMSELF. No helper. Lifting heavy water-heater by himself in 110 degree heat.
Did he take photos and send them in for home inspection? Who knows. I was charged for a installation license. Charged for a water-heater, install, and total bill for drain cleaning NEW water-heater install: $2,000.00 for water heater and $476.00 for ONE drain cleaning.
You make up your own mind whether you think I got baited-and-switched. Do you think I got scammed into a new water heater? Did I pay for an "inspection" never filed? Is $476 to clean ONE shower drain excessive?
My mind is made up: Never again. Now, I'm left with, "If not these unethical clowns batting 50% (one good job, one scam), then what plumber do I use in the future? It won't be these guys.

Made an appointment and was told someone would be out the next day between 8a and 11am then when the guy confirmed the Appt before I hung up he changes the appointment to 8a to noon on that Saturday.
About 1215p I called and was told they couldn't find my appointment. And then when she actually took time to look she found it only to tell me the Appt was from 8a -12p. I already knew this and even explained that to her when I called.
I was told someone in dispatch Laura I think said my appt was changed to later. I finally reached Laura after playing phone tag for several calls.
She then tells me someone would be out between 3 and 4pm that day she thinks. I was already assigned a tech and they have emergencies. As if my issue wasn't an emergency.
Needless to say I made several calls back with no one or knowing what was going on. It was after 6pm now and no one showed up nor did they call me. Your customer service stinks!! And I will make sure to put this review on every website i can find with your business.
Sunday around 130p Laura called to tell me know one came out. And said she told her manager everything that was going on and doesn't know why no one showed up. Then she had the audacity to aak if I wanted to make another appointment.
The words that I wanted to say to her I didn't. Don't ask me to email you to discuss this issue. You should be ashamed of your lack of integrity, customer loyalty and service.
