If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the worst company I've ever done business with. They overcharged me and have been trying to track down the $2,000 owed to me for 2 months... and they don't even return a call. They are criminals. Go elsewhere.

We have been customers for years and had purchased two AC units over time. Had been happy with their service until about a year ago. Then they started no-showing to appointments for pre-paid maintenance. I'm understanding with COVID that maintenance is not a priority, but we could have at least received a phone call that they needed to cancel. That didn't happen, multiple times. So they finally showed up to do the maintenance. Since then, neither the AC or heat work. We don't need heat that often in Florida, but this week we do. And then today I was charged over $2,000 on my card. We have called multiple times over the past few days. Getting charged 2 grand today for taking away my heat is not ok. Please do not use this service. I wish there was an option for zero stars.

After a year of pushing appointments for our annual maintenance plan, and just not showing up for them, they finally came last week to """"check up"""" our perfectly functioning unit. Determined the motherboard needed replacement and removed the first one WITHOUT having a new one to replace it with. We are now going on a week of no heat or AC, they charged my card for work not completed, and they're not returning our calls. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHADY SHADY COMPANY.

They showed up as scheduled, wore a mask, were very professional, showed me the old unit which was full of mold just as the initial tune up with this company showed (and causing some health issues) and put in the best AC unit with humidity control. We can keep the ac at higher temps and feel very comfortable. Also our old unit was wired wrong and ready to start a fire. We were showed the bad wiring. Yikes! So happy with their honesty and work ethic. Can't believe the difference in our home. So comfortable. We did have the inspector come out and he was impressed. We did get a great price too. Thanks

I wouldn't even give them a one star. I called yesterday afternoon for a leak I found. I didn't need an urgent service, but they told me they had someone in my area and would be there between 4 and 8 p.m. 745pm I called and asked what time they'd be here? They responded and said the service tech would call me and give me an estimate on time of arrival. 8:30 I call again because service tech didn't call so we decided to reschedule until today between 9 and 1. And yup no one came. Called again and they said they just spoke to their manager and he'll call me right back. An hour and 45 minutes I called again. Was told the same thing and they assured me the manager will call me right away. Another hour and 1/2 has passed and still no call from the manager. I strongly recommend you don't use this company. They truly don't know how to run a business and have zero customer service skills. UPDATE... They rescheduled to this morning. No showed. Then they rescheduled to this afternoon. And no showed AGAIN. Called Evelyn and she was going to transfer me and YUP... You guessed it. Hung up on me. How is this company still in business?

Our family was away from the area when my wifi thermostat sent me email messages with fault codes on my HVAC system. Shortly thereafter my system was not functioning and the temperature began to rise. I called ARS who had installed the system 6 years ago to report the issue and called a friend to let them into our house and observe. ARS scheduled a visit that day and arrived late in the afternoon. Their diagnosis was that the system needed a new blower motor and a new computer board in the air handler unit. Both of these parts are under warranty but I was told that the labor fee for this would be $975 and that I had to pay at that moment before they could order the parts and schedule a time to install. The price seemed high but being 2 states away and having no air condition I paid. I then spent the next three days calling to find out when the parts would be in so I knew when to return to Florida. A very frustrating issue that i have is that you can not call ARS direct. All of their published numbers go to an ARS/HomeDepot answering service who are very nice but all they do is pass you call request on to ARS who would never call back. Finally on the 6th day I received the call from ARS that the part was in and we coordinated their visit for 2 days later allowing me time to drive back to Florida. ARS arrived around 9:40am and replaced the parts which seemed to be a simple plug and play transfer which took about 2 hours. The system was back on-line. The tech gave me his cell number and told me if there were any problems to call him. The next morning I started to receive the same codes that started all of this. I called the tech and left a message. Called the tech 4 times over the next 6 hours and 1 additional time to the call center - no response. The tech called me around noon the next day and told me to turn the power off at the breaker box for both units, wait 10 minutes and turn the system back on. Did so and still got the codes. Called the tech again with no response. I gave up. I went to the Carrier web site and looked up dealers in this area. Interesting to note that ARS is not on that list. I selected a company that is Carrier lists as a distinguished awarded dealer, factory authorized and has NATE certified technicians. I chose Bay Area Air Conditioning and they were her the same day that I called and have worked on the system continuously. They even had to replace the motor that ARS put in. Their charge for that was around $150. Big difference in price, quality, response and you always get to talk with someone. I will never use ARS again and Bay Area has gained a new customer. I don't think Home Depot is well served by their association with ARS.

This company has canceled five times for our annual maintenance . If you call the number it is some guys voicemail . They will tell you the window is four hours and then have you wait all day call 15 minutes before and tell you they need to reschedule. One follow up - the maintenance tech who arrived was profession did recommendation and was professional. Although we will not use the service and we had a great install experience initially. It is a very mixed bag here . We am changing rating to two stars because tech only .

Well, for about a month now I've been trying to get this company to replace a broken Nest thermometer. I've had 3 cancellations, many many phone conversations about what is happening, disputes over if it's under warranty (it is, ARS sold it to me under a year ago), disputes over if I have to pay for a visit (I'm on a HSP service plan but the tech never seems to know that). Tech showed up yesterday, told me I would have to pay a service charge and the thermometer isn't covered under warranty. Call with Corporate seemed to be promising. After that the local office called me and told me 'someone would come back to your house that same night.' (Surprise! Nobody ever showed up). Then today a tech showed up in front of my house and called me. He didn't seem to have any context on my request and said he didn't have any Nest thermostat to replace it with (but did offer to replace with some other thermostat). I asked him if he could return with the correct equipment and he said 'I'll send someone else'. This has been a fun massive waste of my time. I understand these are trying times for businesses, I guess ARS just can't provide even a minimum modicum of service anymore. Oh well, I'll look for another vendor

My sister (and my landlord) contacted Home Depot to get a quote for a mini split replacement. She spoke with Chelsea at ARS to get a quote for a 9000 BTU mini replacement unit. Chelsea said that someone would stil need to come out to quote, so an appointment was made. Sister gets a call prior that a Tech can swing by earlier after a job near by and she agrees to meet him there. He shows up, and the rudeness and cynicism begins. The take-aways are: The ARS guy (never even got his name) looked at the job, referred to the owner (me) as another cheap landlord... something about his bro-in-law also being a landlord and cheap, etc. My sister has to fight through and deflect his repeated questioning about how much the other quotes were. She says that she just needs HIS quote to send to the owner (me) to make a decision. He responds by saying that he's just wasting his time there and a written quote would just be a waste of paper, so he just gives my sister a verbal quote of $4700. As I write this, I have just finished up paying a licensed installer/tech $4200 for not 1, but 2 Gree minis just as I wanted - fully installed. This tells you that not only is ARS Tampa Bay, sending out obnoxious techs/sales sharks, but also over-inflated prices. Granted - that could have just been a """"middle finger quote"""" as I call it - one that the guy gives you when he feels convinced that the job is not a slam dunk and/or doesn't want the job for whatever reason. So in the end, ARS wasted OUR time, not the other way around. So I suppose if you like verbal abuse, a hard sell, and high prices - ARS is your place.
