I normally don't write reviews but in this case I had to. I had bought a new AC unit from Home Depot and this company was contracted to install it. After it was installed approximately four months later it started leaking water, causing damage in garage. I called them to let them know my situation since they were the one that installed the unit. I requested for them to send someone out to fix It. It took approximately some weeks before anybody came out to look at it and then it took another couple of days before they came out to fix it. Now fast forward, I only had this unit for about 18 months one day the unit wasn't cooling the house, so I called these guys to come and tell me what was wrong with the unit. I was told it was the AC blower that needed to be replaced. They told me the part was under warranty. So I wasn't really concerned thinking that I would probably get charged about two to $300 in labor since the part was under warranty. I was in shock when the guy showed up and told me they was gonna charge me between $800-$900 in labor fees just to install it , I couldn't believe it. I tried to contact the company to speak to somebody in warranty or a manager but as usual no one returned my call. I got a local independent AC company to come out and check it for me. I paid $495 for the part and 250 for the labor. Since the part was under warranty I was refunded the $495 back. So technically I came out of pocket for just $250. These people really don't care about their customers all they care about is making a profit they don't return your calls ,they don't try to work with you in reference to your situation , it's all about the money and nothing else. I thought this was a good reputable company but as I found out by dealing with them they're not. I I would not recommend this company to no one ,they're not professional . All they do is to tell you anything you want to hear just to get you off the phone. I suggest to get a second price quote before you deal with this company.

This has a strong smell of SCAM all over it. I started wondering if I was getting sold an AC unit or a time-share? I requested a free quote for a new HVAC system from Home Depot and the ars company reached out. The were quick enough to schedule a visit and do a quick review of our existing unit. Then the sales person began a presentation with a thick binder. He was right away trying to upsell me with various guarantees and wanted to speak about everything except the unit or units in question. I tried getting a price range but he would not provide one. I then had to stop him and explain that I needed a quote or two, as I was shopping arround. He then stated that he could not provide a quote nor a price range unless I agreed to a 45 minute presentation on their gaurantees and other features. In otherwords, I had to listen to his sales pitch uninterupted for 45 minutes or I was not getting a quote. My time is more important to myself and my family, than to be held hostage in my own home just to get a quote. Clearly their prices do not compte well and their quotes can not be relied on without a 45 minute barrage of corporate propaganda. Buyers beware of this outfit. Take your business elsewhere!

We were approached by a salesperson at Home Depot about a promotion for A/C tune-ups and was thus introduced to ARS. From the initial visit, we were told that our A/C unit was on its last legs utilizing """"high amps"""". We were sold additions (like a hard-start) to help extend the life of our then 7 year old unit. Fast forward a year later, and we were told that the compressor and fan motor were no longer working. They had to completely cut the power to the unit and they sent out a salesperson that evening while our house sat at a humid 86 degrees. After a high pressured sales pitch of saying they needed to replace the entire unit, including the furnace d/t warranty void issues, they brought the price down from almost $17 grand to just over $10K. We opted to decline so that we could shop around and the following morning, a tech from another company did a comprehensive check. Amazingly enough, we did not actually need any repairs, let alone replacement of the entire unit! We believe this all was a ploy by ARS to get us to sweat it out and make an impulsive purchase. We will not be allowing ARS to step foot into our home again!

I am proud to say that our 32 year old son works for ARS in the Air Conditioning segment of the business. He works long, hard, extremely hot hours (some attics reaching 120 to 140 degrees); extremely dangerous heat, to help fix every customer's system. I pray daily for the safety and well being of these persons working in extreme temperatures to cool your house and/or business. Thank you for appreciating the terrible Florida conditions in which they work hard to provide daily for your comfort.

I called ARS since they are a preferred supplier for air conditioning sales and service through Home Depot. It was the biggest mistake to call them. Home Depot needs to remove them from accessing Home Depot customers: 1) Their price was about $5,000 more than other estimates for a new A/C unit and 2) The salesman who came to my home to assess was to0 pushy of a sales person. I repeatedly told him that I am obtaining quotes yet he tried to overcome that objection and failed miserably. When a customer tells you they will think about it, respect their choice. I went with another company. Buyer beware.

We had ARS respond to our house on two occasions for plumbing issues. After they snaked one toilet, they did not snake the other because it had been working. A week later, it stopped working and they advised that some of the clog from the first cleaning moved in the pipes and caused the second clog, but still charged us. During this second visit, the plumber snaked the wrong way and ended up breaking the toilet. After six hours, he replaced the toilet and it was in working order for a month. Now the toilet leaks at the base.

Five weeks. Two visits. 7 Phone calls. 2 Missed appointments. No call no explanation. Was told 2 times a manager would call me. No call. Just need the air return fixed in the bedroom. This company is a joke

I unfortunately had to get a whole new A/C unit and parts for my house since my old one ran its course. I cut corners with the first go round with a contractor and got what I paid for. But these guys are worth every penny if you have doubts about to """"bigger companies"""". And they even break down how much you actually save yearly on the other end and even financed my purchase in these tough times! very professional and very clean work. I highly recommend.

DO NOT HIRE ARS. They started out great. The salesman was super helpful and they finished most of my AC installation within a week. HOWEVER, since December they have not finished the job. There were a few parts on backorder, including a AC head for a wing of our house. Five months of calling and even a visit from ARS to survey the work needed has been fruitless. I call and they pass me around and there is no follow up. Now I am paying for an incomplete job that they seem to have no interest in finishing and I can't even get a call back. I figured with the high prices they charge you would at least get quality service. Don't make my mistake.
