Is the worst company ever they cannot commit to their appointments never called or apologize for being late. I hired them one time and they done a lousy job living all kind of wires and debris all over the yard recommendation do not hire them

We had ARS respond to our house on two occasions for plumbing issues. After they snaked one toilet, they did not snake the other because it had been working. A week later, it stopped working and they advised that some of the clog from the first cleaning moved in the pipes and caused the second clog, but still charged us. During this second visit, the plumber snaked the wrong way and ended up breaking the toilet. After six hours, he replaced the toilet and it was in working order for a month. Now the toilet leaks at the base.

Don't ever buy an air conditioning system from Home Depot...THEY do not back up any problems. They have a company ARS install our system and over two years we had $1300.00 in repairs due to their error during installation and Home Depot nor ARS will back it UP.

My sister (and my landlord) contacted Home Depot to get a quote for a mini split replacement. She spoke with Chelsea at ARS to get a quote for a 9000 BTU mini replacement unit. Chelsea said that someone would stil need to come out to quote, so an appointment was made. Sister gets a call prior that a Tech can swing by earlier after a job near by and she agrees to meet him there. He shows up, and the rudeness and cynicism begins. The take-aways are: The ARS guy (never even got his name) looked at the job, referred to the owner (me) as another cheap landlord... something about his bro-in-law also being a landlord and cheap, etc. My sister has to fight through and deflect his repeated questioning about how much the other quotes were. She says that she just needs HIS quote to send to the owner (me) to make a decision. He responds by saying that he's just wasting his time there and a written quote would just be a waste of paper, so he just gives my sister a verbal quote of $4700. As I write this, I have just finished up paying a licensed installer/tech $4200 for not 1, but 2 Gree minis just as I wanted - fully installed. This tells you that not only is ARS Tampa Bay, sending out obnoxious techs/sales sharks, but also over-inflated prices. Granted - that could have just been a """"middle finger quote"""" as I call it - one that the guy gives you when he feels convinced that the job is not a slam dunk and/or doesn't want the job for whatever reason. So in the end, ARS wasted OUR time, not the other way around. So I suppose if you like verbal abuse, a hard sell, and high prices - ARS is your place.

I would look elsewhere, the technicians are incompetent, we went through 3 technicians for one maintenance call and was charged $517 for an AC that was perfectly fine. Here are the sequence of events. Technician 1: We were scheduled for a routine pre-paid maintenance. I had noticed earlier that week that the thermostat didn't seem to be reading the correct temperature and mentioned that to the technician when he arrived. He was there from 11am to 5pm. He tells me the contacts for the AC and my thermostat need replacing, which he did and then presented me with a bill for $517. He did not consult with me before making the changes but hey these technicians are advertised as experts so I assumed he knew what he was talking about. I handed him the check and he left before leaving me a receipt so I had to call them and request they send it to me (I have yet to receive it and it's been over a week). When he left we tried setting the AC to discover the AC which was at least working before he got there was suddenly NOT WORKING at all. We called and let them know and they agreed to send someone out to come take a look. While we were waiting we decided to google the new thermostat technician 1 had installed and found it had a retail price of $30 but we had been charged $250 for it. What a Rip Off! Technician 2: Technician 2 arrives around 9pm. We start telling him about what had taken place that morning, he seemed just as confused as we were. He goes outside to take a look at the unit and discovers that there are now burnt wires and a damaged connector. We aren't charged for this. The next day the AC starts making a lot of noise, so much so that we aren't able to sleep. So we go outside and unplug the unit and call ARS again. They apologize and say they will send someone out in the morning. Technician 1...again: The next day they send Technician 1 back out. We let him check it out and he says we will now need to replace the ENTIRE AC unit. This is they guy who fried the wires and compactor the first day so clearly we didn't have much faith in him. We called and asked for a different technician. Technician 3: Technician 3 comes out. He looks at the unit and finds that Technician 2 connected the wires incorrectly, he switches them and fixes the AC. He now tries to tackle the thermostat issue. He spends two hours trying to figure out what was going on. We saw he was clearly stumped so on an off chance we decided to ask him if he realized we had two AC units. Keep in mind both of these units were original installed by ARS themselves. Turns out none of the technicians that came out bothered to look at both units and were mixing up the thermostats and furnaces for the upstairs and downstairs units. Once we cleared that up we realized there was NEVER anything wrong with the AC unit OR the thermostat but that the humidity was set too low causing the temperature to drop lower than what we were setting it to. A simply reset of the humidity solved everything. There was never a need to change contacts, compacts, wires, or the thermostat. Three technicians and none of them were competent in fact they created more issues than they fixed. We called up ARS and told them the whole story and to be honest the poor supervisor just seemed tired of the whole issue and agreed to refund us the full amount, which we are grateful for. We won't be using ARS anymore nor will we be recommending them to friends and family. We simply have lost all trust in ARS technicians, coupled with the fact that they are fine with charging their customers $250 for a $30 thermostat. But wait there's more....! A few months before all of this our AC unit actually caught on fire and the fire department had to come out. It turns out that the surge suppressor that ARS uses in their units was recently recalled. The technician actually admitted that they knew about this recall for awhile. Instead of immediately calling their customers to warn them and replacing the suppressors they were waiting until scheduled maintenance to come and replace them. I would suggest anyone who has an ARS unit to call a double check that they have in fact replaced the faulty suppressors and then search for a different company to do business with. One that cares about the safety of their customers and hires technicians that actually know what they are doing.

I would like to thank Hector Ramos for going above and beyond to address a problem I encountered with a very rude technician Jose on November 8, 2017. Hector was compassionate and went above and beyond to resolve the problem Thank you Hector Ramos for your assistance in this matter. I was told by Mr. Hector Ramos I would receive a refund for a extra service fee due to a pushy and discourteous A/C technician. I called January 2, 2018 and spoke to Nick in Accounting and was told he had -the paperwork for the refund on his desk Nick stated it might take days to reflect in my financial institution. I contacted my credit union on January 10th and there was no transaction/refund from ARS. I contacted Nick in Accounting at ARS on January 11th and he said there was a problem with the software from Chase Bank that they used to process refunds and did not know when it would be processed. I asked for a check to be cut and mailed to me and when it would be sent Nick said he would find out and call me after 12pm on January 11th I did not receive a phone call on January 11, 2018 from Nick. I will be canceling my service contract with this company ASAP.

These guys are good but they completely rip you off in price for labor. They came out because my a/c wasn't working, the drain was clogged. Took the man 8 minutes to unclog and he charged me $180. Then my neighbor told me you can just use a shopvac to do the same job. I just did it fixed the same problem myself in no time. I'm still angry about being ripped off by ars. ass really. I will never call them again.

I wanted quotes for a new A/C-Heatpump system so along with two other firms I contacted Home Depot. ARS called and made an appointment and a nice man came to give me a quote. I already had two others so I kind of knew what to expect but instead I got the most high pressure sales pitch I have ever had! He drew pictures, showed pamphlets, down graded competitors and went on so hard with his pitch I was ready to ask him to leave. He had 5 different quotes a couple of which were double what the other company's quoted! Then he called his boss(like a car salesman) and put him on the phone with me to try to get me to buy today! I have had two followup calls in two days and finally just told them I went with someone else, Do Not call me again! Looking at some of the other reviews from people that have gone with them I am glad I did not. There are plenty of normal A/C companies that will not treat you like that so I would not call Home Depot/ARS Rescue Rooter.

If you want to maintain a healthy blood pressure, do not deal with these people. This has to be the single most unorganized business I have ever dealt with. All they care about is making a sale. Once they have your money, customer service is virtually non-existent. And whenever they get a negative review, they reply with this bogus copy/paste response

I purchased a unit 2 years ago and I have had them out more than I did on the old unit. They had to come out within 3 days because the unit stopped working. The motor in the air handler went bad and the unit was not even two years old. The installation did not pass inspection. I had them do the 6 month check and now the technician said I have $592 worth of repairs to a unit just 2 years old. I will not have this company do the repairs I will be calling in another company. Do not use this company. If I could I would put zero stars.
