Tenant occupied house. As owner, I called ARS and set up appointment for the ""next day between 8 & 10 AM"". I drove across town to be available to sign estimate or whatever. I left at 10:30 AM. I called ARS when I got home and talked with Sherry who I hung up because she doesn't know what ""customer service"" means. Meanwhile, their plumber showed up, did work without a contract, estimate etc. with my tenant and did the same thing another Yelp complainant said - took the toilet and ran a snake. It is days later and I do not yet know what the hell it was all about.

Uggh. Why didn't I check Yelp before calling these guys? The plumber they sent to my house was not a problem solver, but a problem maker. He negotiated a price with me to fix a washing machine valve. First of all, why do you need to negotiate? Just tell me the estimate. Then he consistently said it was going to be more complicated and more costly than expected. I had the job done by a competent plumber for half the cost ARS quoted, and that was before ARS would have jacked up the price even more. Eventually after wasting my time for over an hour, he said I needed water remediation before they could start and he referred me to AFC Flood and Fire, which was a total waste of time as well. They estimated the cost at $3500 which I eventually had completed for less than $500. AFC lowered their estimate to $3100, and then to $2500 with no new information. Makes you wonder what the real price should be.
I think ARS only stays in business because of people like me who forget to check Yelp. They are now on my DO NOT USE list.

DO NOT USE this company. What scammers!! I checked out their Google review, but forgot to check Yelp!
Called to have my slow draining kitchen sink fixed. The estimate went from $69.00 to $17,465.00. First plumber said that his snake poked through something and he couldn't get it out and he telephoned for a supervisor. Told me that I needed a liner in the pipe and that it would take four days, including drilling through the slab. And gee, they would finance it for one year no interest. They never did anything to flush the line. Talked to a neighbor who had the same problem, and she has given me the name of the company she used.

My toilet was about to overflow and I got quick service from a qualified plumber. He was professional, kind and I really appreciate him coming out in the late evening. Prices are fair for a 24/7 service and I will definitely use them again if needed!

PSA! These guys are not looking out for your best interest to save money and I hate so say it, but they will rip you off if you let them. I called ARS to clear a clogged drain for the $88 special. The technician came out and said he cannot bring his snake to the roof as it may damage the roof (understandable). So he ran a camera down my vent pipe as there is no clean out close the blockage. He then tells me that the main sewer line is collapsed and will need to have the area dug up and replaced, but will also add a cleanout when he does the work. I was given an estimate of $5000 for the job, Yikes! I said I wanted a second opinion just to be safe. Well I got a referral from a friend about a Good plumber and he comes out same day, runs a camera down the pipe (just like ARS) and tell me he cant see anything as the water is too murky and wondered how can ARS see you have a collapsed pipe? Great question. So he suggest to try snaking the drain and uses a hand held snake to go through the vent tube and clears the drain within 30 minutes for a cost of $75. That's right $75 and not $5000 like ARS estimated. Watch out for these guys!!!

Do not use this company. We called them for a simple clog. Don't know what prompted the guy to go under our house, he said that our whole piping needs to be replace. They gave us an estimate for 15,000. We of course were very upset because they have been at our house for hours and had nothing done. We rejected the offer and told them to leave. We called ASI the next day and they took care of the clog in one hour for less than $100. I would give this company a -10 if I could. Use them at your own risk.

Our plumber showed up late in the afternoon without calling (was supposed to arrive by 1 PM). He started to come into our home with no protective shoe coverings, and my husband reminded him that during our quarantine for Covid 19 we were told he would be wearing them. He took off his shoes with no apology. He then proceeded to be disrespectful to my husband as he was trying to tell him about the problem with the drip under the kitchen sink. I overheard him saying twice: ""NO! Sir, that is NOT what the problem is."" It was unprofessional. After he determined that the connection was ""poorly made"" under our sink, he said, ""I don't even KNOW what to charge you,"" as he didn't have the part he needed to do the repair! He then started talking about our water pressure being too high, and he wanted to see the regulator. On the way through our garage he looked at our water heater (which isn't new but is still functioning fine) and he said ""LOOK at the corrosion on that pipe! That is your next Murphy's Law. And no pan under the tank! Well, no surprise there."" When he saw our shutoff valve he proclaimed it very old and our water pressure was probably way too high. He tested it with our garden hose faucet and it was normal. I couldn't wait for Wesley to leave so we could report him and write this review. It was apparent he was trying to find things to charge us for, and we didn't trust him or like him one bit.

The main line under our house clogged up and backed up into the house. We called Rescue Rooter and they were able to get someone out in about 5 hours.
Our technician ""Tim"" was awesome. Very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. He was very friendly as myself and my 95 year old grandfather wanted to look over his shoulder with curiosity. He was an excellent representative for the company!

Called ARS for a service call to replace a leaking garbage disposal unit. The employee was a licensed individual who was responsive to my call for a quote. I agreed to the quote, which was reasonable, he completed the job in about 45 minutes. Great service easy to work with.

A manager named ""Jose"" from the local ARS / Rescue Rooter gave awful customer service when he called me to discuss my complaint. I was trying to report material misconduct that was performed by a worker, Mr. Miguel Valdez, during an estimate at my home today.
For less than an hour's worth of work to change four ""cartridge"" parts for my master bathroom's two sink faucets, Miguel quoted me an outrageous $620. I feel he was committing illegal discrimination against me or potentially price gouging me during the COVID-19 coronavirus situation.
Bill Howe Plumbing, who I called right after ARS left, has an hourly rate of $170. Bill Howe replaced not only four ""cartridges"" but changed six. In less than an hour. I have three bathroom sinks in my home.
Delta Faucet Company had shipped me six ""cartridges"" as a courtesy. My 10-year warranty had already expired.
The local office for ARS is unethical or incompetent or are scammers and they should be ashamed of themselves. Miguel and ""Jose"" also tried to tell me that ARS does not touch bathroom sink faucets that are five years old. Another scam to trick someone into replacing their whole bathroom sink faucet.
Please see the pictures for the outrageous and unethical estimate by Miguel and also the invoice with reasonable pricing from Bille Howe. Below is also a web link to my Google review for ARS. Commercial and residential customers should switch their services to a different licensed plumbing contractor as soon as possible.

""Jose"" told me on a phone call that my problem would have been solved if I would have just called Bill Howe first. Awful customer service from ""Jose"" and people like ""Jose"" and Miguel should not have jobs. Absolutely disgusting.
Thank goodness San Diego County has Bill Howe. Both ""Jose"" and Miguel also insulted Delta Faucet Company, the manufacturer of my bathroom sink faucets, saying the brand was awful quality. Without displaying a shred of evidence. Unethical sales practices to trash your brand so you consider replacing your bathroom sink faucets with a different brand.
I have had my bathroom sink faucets since 2009, when my condominium was built, and I am the original homeowner of my condo. I am in the process of filing a material misconduct complaint through the Corporate Relations Department (866-803-0879). ""Jose"" and Miguel must be held accountable.
