This company is horrid to deal with, if you can even get a hold of someone to deal with in the first place. The installing tech was great and did a good JOhn, but the inspection failed and they took over 3 weeks of hassling them to get someone to come out. When someone finally did come they fixed the failed part but shut off my hot water heater and didn't turn it back on. So I had 2 days of no hot water because they have me excuse after excuse of why it was my problem, not theirs. I was also charged $350 extra than quoted without Any calls from billing, they just charged my card. After 3 months of fighting with them, just to get an itemized receipt, I found charges that were complete bogus and am currently having to fight them on those

Where to begin? Well, this was the WORST installation experience of my life. I'll try to keep it brief.

I ordered a hybrid water heater from Home Depot on Jan. 20th, the install was initially scheduled for the 23rd. I get a call 30 min AFTER the install time to notify me they wouldn't be coming as the installer they scheduled wasn't qualified to install a hybrid unit. They scheduled me the following day on the 24th. I rearrange my schedule again to be here for the install. The installer shows up, removes my old water heater and let's me know the hybrid won't work due to space. They go back to Home Depot and swap out to a regular unit which he installs (mostly) the new unit. He ran out of pipe and parts and didn't finish installing the hot water return loop. It worked for the time being, but took like 3 minutes before any hot water came out of any shower or faucet once it was turned on. They scheduled to finish the job on the 26th. The installer shows up and is upset as he was told he only needed to install a pipe and didn't have any parts and wanted to go home and eat dinner because ""it was getting dark."" My wife goes out to his van to ask if he was going to finish the job since I was stuck in traffic, he replied he was going to just sit in his ""office"" (the van) until he was told otherwise by the office since he wanted to go home and had no parts. He ended up leaving and not telling anyone. Our garage was open until we realized he left to go home without notice. I call, complain, and reschedule for the 27th. They show up again and didn't have the right pipe and parts to finish the job. The guy drives to a local Home Depot and gets supplies to return and finish installing the unit. Once done, we realize I was sold (and paid for) the 5500 watt unit and they installed a cheaper 4500 watt unit. I call to let them know, they said they need proof. I have the installer take a photo. Monday the 30th arrives, I call and explain again, they sold me a higher priced unit which was verified as to what I ordered and paid for, but had a different model installed. They schedule to come out on Thursday that week to remove the wrong unit and put the one I paid for in. I do some research at this point since I have no faith in them and find out it looks like I need 30a breakers for my 5500 watt unit. I call to verify this, they place me on hold and call a tech to verify I was correct. Problem is, when present they told me to order the bigger unit which I apparently was not set up for. So....had they have showed up they would have removed the unit to only find out the new one I bought and paid for wouldn't work either, then be forced to use the one they just removed. I finally said I'll just keep the cheaper unit they put in by mistake and want a refund of the difference. They said they would, but could not send me a receipt or proof since it was all through Home Depot. This is nuts! Please avoid this at all costs. I thought there is no way anything like this could happen, but alas it did. Use them at your own risk.

Oh I wish that I researched Delta Mechanical on Yelp before hiring them for a job.
The job finally was completed after two attempts and and 4 days. The installer was knowledgeable and worked very hard. That wasn't the issue. Their biggest issue is that they are waaaay over-scheduled. Customers are NOT their #1 priority, $$ is. Two stars after 49 reviews for a reason. Ours is their 50th review at uno star. They should of taken care of the issues with our installs, not having me run circles with Home Depot and then again having to call the scheduler on day 4 to get it completed. PERIOD.

This is a fraudulent company. I bought my water heater 2 years ago thru Costco when they used to contact with delta. The installation went fine and delta offered an extended warranty on parts and labor for 15 years.

Recently when my water heater started giving issues I called them to help service it. They told me they stopped contracting with Costco and can no longer honor the warranty. This company seems like a complete scam and someone needs to take them to court.

If I could have given negative stars I would have. This company deserves negative 5 stars. Bought a toilet from Home Depot and asked for a contractor to install. The lady from Delta who called to give me a quote was nice but was either new or not trained well. I set up the appointment and the contractor did show up on time but that was the only good part of the interaction. I told him the toilet to be replaced was upstairs. He immediately told me there was an extra charge for upstairs. I agreed with the charge. I showed him the toilet to be replaced and he said if the water line was too short for the new toilet it would be an extra charge because he would have to replace the valve also. I told him that it would be too short so plan on changing it. I then went downstairs while he started working. The next thing I know he is running out the door and I have water dripping on my head through my light fixture. I found him outside on his knees with his hand in the water main trying to shut off the water. Well, we live in the mountains where it is below freezing and the water main was frozen open, he did not realize this because he is from Phoenix which is several hours South. He proceeds to tell us that we need to get the water department out in the next 15 minutes or he will have to leave and reschedule. My husband told him that any plumber would have made sure he could turn off the main water supply before he started disconnecting plumbing. The contractor told us it was not his fault that the valve was bad and that it started leaking when he starting working. He then said if you know plumbing why did you hire a professional to do the job. We had a laugh at that comment and told him to just leave. We would finish the install or hire a local professional. After he left I found the old toilet in the box in my driveway. I went to move the box in the garage until I could take it to the dump. As I was moving the box I found a water bottle filled with pee in the box. I would include the picture but I can't load a picture. I called both Delta and Home Depot yesterday and I still have not gotten a return call. Maybe Delta's slogan should be: not only do we kinda fix your toilet we leave you something to test it out with. I am not going to hire anyone from Home Depot ever again.

Our service guy, Andrew Coleman (Baseline Road in Colorado) was very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained everything to me in terms I could understand. He worked quickly and efficiently and showed me his work when the job was complete. I would hire him again.

The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because the dispatch did not explain to me that they book everything like the cable company. When they told me 4-7 that is how long I thought the job was suppose to take. Not that the service guy has a 3 hour window to show up and then another 1-2 hour to complete the job. Due to a hectic schedule this caused me a lot of stress and I felt like I was misled. I had an appt at 745 and because I thought the job would be done by then I did not reschedule. I had to leave Andrew at the house take my daughter to her appt and come back only to turn around to go pick up my daughter 30 min later. The one reason I switched away from cable was because of there scheduling among other unrelated issues. Dispatch needs to be given the tools to know if a service guy is coming from a Colorado Springs job it is going to take him more than 30 min to get to his next job. Besides my water heater going out this was pretty frustrating.

But like I said Andrew was great and I would hire him again.

Delta Mechanical is the sub-contractor through The Home Depot for plumbing installations. This was the WORST experience with a Home Depot vendor I have had in either the U.S. or Canada! Arizona Delta Mechanical is one of the least responsive service providers I've ever encountered. The technician did not give a clear indication as to why the toilet could not be installed and Crystal was going to contact The Home Depot to find a tile company that would handle a very small job. When contacting them you have to hold a minimum of 8 minutes before anyone will speak with you, and they don't like actually talking with customers. After 5 weeks of messages being left for Crystal I finally purchased a plane ticket to fly to Phoenix and hired someone myself locally who is competent and responsive - AND MUCH CHEAPER. Arizona Delta Mechanical has been disassociated from The Home Depot for a/c installation and they should be let go from being a vendor completely. Save your time, money and stress - find another company to deal with.

We had to re-pipe our entire house due to several costly pin hole leaks from the original copper pipes 'M' (a big problem in Socal). After evaluating several options, we re-piped with PEX by Delta Mechanical (recommended by Home Depot but you deal with Delta directly).

Kellen at Delta was great in arranging the work and at very fair competitive pricing. Todd and Steve showed up exactly on time and did an excellent job! Todd is very experienced planning and mapping the PEX routing and knows all facets of plumbing. Both had a great work ethic and kept all areas clean while working. Drywall cuts were made neatly and patched back and painted to an exact match. Old fixtures were completely removed. Re-piping is not an easy 1 day job and these guys were very knowledgeable, professional and diligent. They also kept us informed especially of several 'tricky' areas which they smoothly resolved.

PLEASE HELP!!!

How do I get home Depot to refund me and get this stupid water heater out of my home!? I want a full refund and I am scared they won't because Delta did the installation. It doesn't work AT ALL like what I was sold over the phone and it is SO noisy. They sent out a Tech who reeked of week to do a secondary inspection and he said he would contact his district manager. I asked him well why did you come out then? I now have to take a third day off work to get someone out to my house to discuss my dissatisfaction with the regional manager and I just want the crap taken out and a full refund. I can't deal with these incompetent people. And they RUINED my house. Busted holes in the wrong spot that blew off my baseboard and left grease stains EVERYWHERE including on the ceiling. Please help. How do I get them to take this piece of garbage out and give me a refund??

These people are contracted with Home Depot to do their plumbing installs. I cannot speak to the quality of their work but only as to their phone attitude and pricing. They called me arrange installation of a water heater and 2 toilets. After getting transferred around I finally found someone who would give me a quote. The ""salesman"" was arrogant and would not answer any of my questions. It took a long time to finally get a price from them and when I finally did, the amounts were off the wall!
With their phone attitude and pricing, I would not recommend them to anyone but my worst enemy.
