Exceptional service - David came over today to replace a water pressure regulator. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He is a very pleasant young man. He had to dig a large hole in my lawn to get the old valve out but he replaced all of the soil and grass as if nothing ever happened. I was very pleased with his work. Give him a raise!

I needed a plumbing inspection at a home I was buying. They showed up on time, were professional, and did exactly what I needed. I'll use them again:

Our AC unit is having trouble keeping up with the Texas heat this year (climbing up to 75-76 when set at 71-72)
so we told our landlord. He put the call in and they came out two days later.
The guy seemed friendly enough, started to work right away. First looked at the inside unit and stated the coils were clogged. Then proceeded to check the outside unit and said there was a Freon leak. Went over a bunch of pricing, which felt like a sales pitch. I informed him to call my landlord and go over it. He stepped out, called and decided to refill the Freon
Came back in and said what work was done and he was finished and if there were any more problems to call back or call my landlord, I didn't really hear the last part)

Well it started off decent, it was set at 71 and the temp was at 71
Within 10 min of him leaving it climbed to 72 ( mind you I did not mess with anything else or touch the thermostat)
Then another 10 min and it's at 73
Within the next two hours it climbs all the way up to 80

Now the inside unit makes a loud hissing sound which it never did before and the outside unit also makes an extremely loud buzzing sound which it also never did before. I went around and checked all the vents and they weren't blowing nearly as cold as before or as strong.
I have no idea if this guy was just new or what.
Called my landlord and informed him and he seemed pretty upset because I'm sure he shelled out a good amount of money for this.
They are supposed to come back out tomorrow so we will see then.
But all in all it seems the technician made things worse
At least before it only got to 75 but now it got all the way up to 81.
Not too happy at all.

Over a year ago, I was TALKED OUT of paying for the water heater that day and going with the Advantage Program where I make payments toward the heater and they will service it every year until it is paid off...nowhere in the conversation did it say it was a lease and my payments would not be going toward the water heater. I had a few things going on at the time: I had lost my dad a few weeks before and I was recovering from a bad cold. No one has ever serviced the water heater and when I called to pay the remaining balance, I was expecting 14 months of $20.95 ($293.30) to be removed from the balance. It isn't. I now have a balance MORE THAN my water heater was priced because of termination fees to the lease program. I called Aramendia to explain what had happened and the manager (Albert) who was less than helpful and told me that there was absolutely nothing he could do and he doesn't know what I was saying was accurate because he wasn't there. All I wanted to do was pay off the water heater and have them do what was right, but I can't. DO NOT TRUST this company. The customers mean nothing to them.

Called them out to recharge my AC. Understood the recharge would be costly because of the change in law. Dispatch told me it would be $200 for the first recharge and 153$ for subsequent ones. Knew that was pretty universal, so I said yes. Technicians came out, immediately told me they didn't have any R22 to recharge it and they wouldn't be able to get any. According to them, my only options are upgrade my system or don't have it blow cold.
The technicians were not the problem. David and Rick are working with limited options themselves and a public who does not want to hear that their system can't be recharged. I am not one of those people.
We got a quote from David that was tailored to our overall situation.
The biggest issue I have is the fact that their van proudly proclaims "Free Estimates"
Since it took about two seconds to tell me my system could not be recharged and the majority of their time was spent giving me an estimate, why was I then charged a $59 service charge?
I believe it has to do with those on charge of the company not having faith in their people to make on the spot decisions.
An additional issue that I believe is going on is a lack of communication between the service/dispatch agents and the technicians. There is no reason the dispatcher would be under the impression that they were capable of providing a service otherwise.

We recently had our thermostat replaced by technician Joe Gomez. He did a great job replacing the temporary one. He also performed our AC spring check and blew out the lines for us. I appreciate this company.

"I manage a large retail portoflio in San Antonio, and after my experience this weekend with Aramendia Plumbing, they are off my vendor list and I will never refer them. My daughter had a leak on her main 1 inch PVC in the front yard. They quoted $595 to include excavating and finding the leak. By the time they showed up, we had dug and found the leak so they spent 15 minutes cutting and replacing about 4 inches of PVC and still charged her the full amount. After I disputed their price, since we spent 2 hours digging and finding the leak, they finally gave her a 10% discount, but honestly $535 to replace a $10 piece of PVC in 15 minutes! Highway robbery and unethical."

I called for a broken pipe at the water meter. They were quick to respond and arrived in about an hour. I called for a plumber and they sent a salesman in a plumbers uniform. The broken pipe was completely exposed and required no digging. Rather than putting a price together he started trying to sale a replacement in line pressure regulator. (nothing wrong with the existing one) Came up with a quote between 595.00 and 795.00 to fix something that was not broken. Had my wife tell him thanks but no thanks. I left work and went home, made a quick inspection, ran to the hardware store and spent $12.47 on materials. Had the repair complete in an hour. This was something I would have paid 300.00 to have done, but these people are blinded by greed. From glancing at these reviews, they have lost sight of how to build a customer base for life. My advice to anyone reading this is if you need a plumber call someone else.

Still waiting for a part that was ordered on Dec 6, told it would be a few days. Called back the following week and was told it would be 3 to 5 days. Called back today and was told they don't know when the part will arrive.
