While we have had great experiences in the past, we recently had an concern with the diagnoses and estimate provided for loss of hot water throughout our building. We were told our hot water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced with a new one, "It was unrepairable". We were provided an estimate of $2400.00. Within an hour we had another company come out to diagnose the issue. The water heater had been unplugged. The plumber cleaned the water pan and were told the heater appeared to have no issues. The problem was fixed for a minimal amount and now have hot water.
It is recommended to always get a second opinion. This could have been an unnecessary costly repair.

I asked them to come out and give our system a seasonal checkup. Their service technician Chris did a very thorough job, checked everything, cleaned this and inspected that and gave me a detailed report of his findings. He was honest, efficient, courteous and I am very pleased with my service call today. I'll call them again for sure.

Dishonest plumber.
I had a water leak that I needed to get taken care of, pouring water out down the street from a busted underground pipe. I called up Aramendia, because I'd heard their advertisements on the radio and they have a catchy jingle. They show up promptly, and make out an estimate for first finding the leak that I thought was quite unreasonable. They wanted hundreds of dollars an hour to dig around. I sent them home, got out the shovel and started digging to figure out where the water was coming from. A connection had gone bad about a foot underground, and was leaking. Once the leak was found, I called Aramendia back out to make the repair.
They wrote out an estimate for soldering a new connection, which I felt was high priced, but necessary. The plumbers cut out the bad coupling, and attempted to solder in a new one. I watched intently, as the plumber explains that he's really good at soldering, since he used to be a welder. He spends more attention on bragging than soldering. The plumbers then turned on the water, and it still leaked. Although it's tough telling quite where the water was coming from, he looked with a mirror, and determined that it was still leaking, which is bad news. The plumbers then told me that they'd have to chip away at rock and cement to get to the part that's leaking, and the cost has now nearly doubled from the original quote. I asked them if they were sure it was leaking from elsewhere, and not that they did a poor job of soldering the replacement coupling. Blank stare. I was without water, with a giant hole in the ground, and was being cornered. I had no choice but to acquiesce to their shakedown. They proceeded to cut out the pipe connection that they had just soldered in, and tossed it aside. I picked up the newly soldered and cut out connection, and plugged up one end of the pipe with my finger, and blew into the pipe. Air leaked from their freshly soldered connection, showing exactly where the problem in their repair was. If air can leak from their soldered connection, water sure can. They didn't solder the pipe right, and it cost me an extra $300 to have them chip away at rock needlessly and repair it a second time, this time with solderless plastic connections that are inferior to the copper one they were replacing. I showed them their incomplete soldering job on their pipe repair, and got a shrug and an outrageous bill.
I absolutely feel like I got ripped off, and was treated unfairly. I don't feel that it's my responsibility to pay twice the originally stated amount due to the plumber's incompetence. I'm never contacting Aramendia again, and suggest you don't either.

I've had them come to give me a diagnosis and estimate on my AC twice in the past year and every time they say I need to buy a new unit. $10k-$13k. Then I get a second opinion and they tell me that who ever came out disconnected all the wires and made a mess of the connection board. Ultimately the 2nd company is able to replace a few parts and fix the AC.
The bottom line is, Armandia is untrustworthy. I think they're liars just trying to sell ACs and not do repair work.

Absolutely horrible, I am so dissatisfied at their work and ethic. Go somewhere else if you don't want years of struggles and headache after them putting in a full unit. Got an electrician out to my mothers home and was told their fuse box was way to small for the size unit they put in and it could have easily caused a fire. Their wonderful unit has left my elderly mother in the heat for the 4th time since they put the unit in in 2012. Thanks! I'll be contacting the BBB

They are a JOKE! They advertise 24 hr. emergency plumbing. Saturday about 8:45 p.m. we called them because water was spreading all over our kitchen floor. We got a recorded message that they "were presently closed. If we would leave a message, they would contact us Monday a.m."

My husband and I are so impressed with Lenny with Aramendia!! He quickly assessed what was causing the water leak from our unit, located the buried water line, unburied it and flushed out all sediment and cleared the drain line.
Since we are in a manufactured home, he had to remove some of the siding panels to locate the water line termination point. (Not an easy job!) But what impressed us was his care of our home in that he did a great job in putting the panels back in place after having to remove them.
He was very courteous and professional and did a very thorough job of explaining the issue and what was done to correct it.
Thank you!!!

Called them because I had 2 outdoor faucets that were leaking pretty badly and a toilet that was constantly running. They came out on a Saturday, same day I called. I had heard their ads on a local radio station and they said their was no trip charge, so i decided to give them a try.
They arrived when they said they would. True there is no trip but here is how they GETCHA. I had three things that need repairing. I was told the first one would be $295 and the other 2 would be $95 each. Here is where I screwed up, I should have called another company to get a quote and I didn't.
So they don't have a trip fee but the first thing to repair is almost $300 which sounds like a hidden trip fee to me. Later talking to a friend she told me she had Culpepper plumbing come to her house to fix 2 leaky outdoor faucets and a sink faucet that was leaking and they charged her $195.
Moral of the story "Don't use Aramendia and shop around"

We were having a/c issues with a newer unit they installed last July. It was a simple fix and chris was very friendly, informative and helped us take care of the problem. I would highly recommend them. This is the second time we've called them out and both times we had the same great service.

Plumber came and immediately started trying to sell me a water softener. He then wanted me to sign up for their savings club in which you pay them monthly to get a tiny 15% savings if you have a problem. Next he wanted $900 to fix 3 dripping faucets! Needless to say I showed him the door. I contacted another plumber and bought 3 new faucets for him to install. The three faucets and installation only cost $500. If you value your money find a better company than these tip off artists!
