AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! - I was in the process of selling my home and my sewer line needed to be scoped during the inspection. I had the scoping done which revealed a 1"" offset in the line at the point where my yard met the sidewalk. This prevented the scope from going past this point to the city's tap, which was a requirement of the inspection. Apex Plumbing quoted me $2870 to repair the offset, which they did on 12/1/2017. I was told by Apex that they would re-scope the line when they were finished with the repair. They did not do this. When I contacted them to get the re-scoping done they told me it would cost an additional $100 and they couldn't do it until 12/6/2017. They were aware that the closing date for my home was 12/8/2017. On 12/7/2017 they finally sent me the video from the re-scoping. They then told me that there were 2 additional offsets between the sidewalk and the city tap that were holding debris, which meant more repairs were required. They sent an estimate for nearly $10,000 to do these repairs. Luckily I sent their video to a different plumbing company for a second opinion. Their plumber, who has over 40 years of experience, went through the video frame by frame and determined that there were no offsets in the line and that no further repairs were necessary. He was even kind enough to do this with my buyer and his agent. He put them at ease and and the closing went through on 12/8/2017. It absolutely infuriates me that Apex Plumbing preys on people in situations like this. They made me wait until the last minute and then attempted to hold myself and my buyer hostage and steal nearly $10,000 for unnecessary repairs. This needs to stop and they Apex Plumbing needs to be investigated for fraud.
B E.Great service. Great price. Easy to work with. Professional. Friendly. Over and beyond expectation. Replaced a lead pipe/ main water line. Easy to schedule. Workmen were friendly, not messy, efficient and timely. Work was done- no headache. Would call them again for sure.
Elizabeth D.I cannot recommend Apex. They recently installed new water line from our home to the water meter at street. Job was technically difficult and required more digging than anticipated which I cannot find fault with but communication was very poor. And it took multiple phone calls to get the clean up crew back on site. What made it worse was after phone calls from me voicing frustration, they called and asked me to pay bill before they had even cleaned up job site or finished repairs to damaged sprinklers and grass.
Leah W.Excellent experience working with Apex Plumbing, who replaced a cracked sewer pipe with a whole new line in my home. Professional and helpful service from Kristy, Jerry, Bell and the entire office staff and crew. I got 6 quotes from area plumbers, and Apex was the most reasonable and timely.
I would definitely recommend Apex Plumbing to Denver-area residents in need of plumbing services, large or small!
We contacted Apex Plumbing after reading many positive reviews on our neighborhood social networking site. Apex was prompt in responding to our concerns, provided reasonable estimates, fixed the problems and cleaned up the area after they were done! We couldn't have been more pleased by another company. Thanks, Apex!
I originally got a quote from a different ""big box"" plumbing company to replace my sewer line. Nothing urgently wrong with the line, no emergency work, I just knew it needed to be replaced and before I undertook expensive landscaping work I wanted to get it out of the way BEFORE it became a problem. I got a second quote from Apex at the recommendations of a few neighbors in my neighborhood. The Apex quote was slightly higher than the first quote so I was about to go with the first quote when my neighbor told me I should ask if Apex could match the quote, and the warranty, of the first company. To my surprise, they did! So I chose Apex because I preferred a referral to have my business. Apex was so flexible and addressed every question I had for them, and promptly. Happy with the whole process. On the day they started they made sure to let me know exactly what time I could start running water/showering again. Everything was put back in my yard to my satisfaction and the foreman called me after completion to confirm I was happy with the job before running final payment. A+ service.
I had a sewer cleaning company damage my sewer line at the point where it ties in to the city line. I was dead in the water. (pun intended). This was on a Friday at 12:45pm. Called Apex and they had a guy at my house by 2:00 pm. We went over the problem and was given what I believe to be a fair quote. (these repairs are never cheap) I accepted the quote and Apex had a crew at my house by 9:00 am on Saturday. The crew was hard working, polite and professional. The break in the sewer line which was 17' deep was repaired and the hole was filled by 6:00 pm that day. For me, they made this bad situation smooth and easy during a stressful time for my family. Thank you Apex!
Brilliant. Fantastic. These guys were on the job within 24 hrs and saved the day. ""Apex You're in our........ wont use anyone else book""
Very frustrating experience with Apex. Hired them at the recommendation of my Realtor to fix a sewer line, and install a new floor drain in the utility room of the house I purchased. Got a quick estimate, and was able to schedule the work at a convenient time. No issues with the sewer line repair. The floor drain was a different issue. They showed up multiple hours late on the first day, and continued to do so throughout the project (2 day job that became 8.) Never got phone calls from them regarding what was going on.
Ultimately the work got done, and they did offer me a discount for the issues. But the process was anything but smooth.
I want to share my experience with Apex to hopefully save you from making a big mistake by hiring them. We had a sewer line break outside near the house. They fixed it for $2700. The camera showed the line was in good shape but found another break in the alley attaching to the main sewer which costs $6500. Several times I asked if the entire sewer line should be replaced, because if it had two breaks, logic would dictate the pipe entire pipe would be in the same condition. I was assured again and again that it was in good shape. In the course of these repairs the following errors were made:
1. They forgot to have the sewer by the kitchen inspected, so after it was completed it had to be dug up again the next day for the city to inspect.
2. They left the garden hose on next to the house, flooding the basement.
3. They dug a 14 foot deep trench in the alley and missed the sewer hook up. They left at noon blocking the alley for the entire weekend, returning Monday to fill it back in and dig in another place.
After $9200 was paid, the sewer line that they fixed backed up in the basement several days later. Their response was that they would now need to dig a hole through the garage floor where there was a blockage, and that would cost an additional $3,000. They said it was not their fault, since it had nothing to do with their repairs, which were at the beginning and end of this line, the blockage was in the middle. We tried to talk to the owner, but was told his was rarely in the office and couldn't be reached. We talked to a project manager who wouldn't take any responsibility for the problem, then he emailed over the weekend communicating that they penalized the crew with unpaid time off. That action didn't do anything to resolve my back up issues or inability to use water for a week. I felt even worse, because the problem was with the management and supervision, not the men doing the hard work.
The end result was hiring Applewood Plumbing, who solved the problem by replacing the sewer line and re-routing the line that ran under the garage, around the garage. They were able to adequately assess the situation, fix it, and guarantee their work. The money spent with Apex was totally wasted. In addition to what Apex charged, we incurred addition costs due to their flooding the basement. After their repairs, the sewer backed up in the house, putting pressure on water pipes behind the washing machine, and then that needed to be replaced, along with drywall.
