My home warranty company hooked me up with Anytime Home Services to fix my toilet, which was draining very slowly when flushed. The two-star review is because the lady on the phone was absolutely wonderful. It's a shame the tech she sent out was the reason for the rest of this sub-par review.
The tech ran an auger into the toilet, said he didn't find any blockage and tried to collect $75 from me (my home warranty fee is only $65). He was at the house for less than 5 minutes and left toilet water splashed all over the toilet seat and floor of the bathroom.
He said the issue had to do with the way the piping was sloped under-ground and that ""this toilet has never worked."" That's the line he gave me, despite the fact that my home is over 40 years old, and I'm sure it had in fact worked before at some point in the last 4 decades. That line is probably the reason for me writing this review. He said a camera would need to be run through the pipes by someone else to figure out the issue.
It took him 4 business days (plus a weekend) to call the issue into the home warranty company so they could get me an update of next steps to take. In the meantime, I fixed the toilet myself thanks to a simple YouTube video that involved dish soap and warm water (the issue was just a mineral buildup in the pipes). Again, I fixed the issue myself from watching a YouTube video before a professional plumber could come close to fixing the issue. How sad is that?
This company has lots of positive reviews I'm Yelp. I'm sure they're not a half-bad company. But this one technician did not represent the company well.
Karyn K.My water heater broke and I was working with my home Warantee company who are normally great. This time the communication with the Warantee company was awful. I was going on 9 days without hot water and unable to get them to get the necessary paperwork, my approval for modifications, purchase order to Anytime with multiple calls to the Warantee company , further delaying installation and hot water. Sara at Anytime was patient and understanding and got me installed in spite of the Warantee company screw ups. Great customer service!
Elisabeth H.Great experience, I was referred to them through AHS and very pleased with the service. Since I had to use them I wasn't sure what to expect due to some reviews but they are 100% customer service satisfaction. The kitchen faucet leak ended up being the disposal and it was replaced. They even had another company come out to asses the damage instead of me trying to figure out who to call. Definitely would use them again even if I didn't have a home warranty.
Danny came out and replaced my garbage disposal. He was respectful, on time and did an excellent job. Would definitely recommend
This company was recently assigned from my home warranty company American Home Shield (Who I severely dislike), in any case Anytime Home Services reached out promptly to set up the inspection and determined our tankless water heater needed to be replaced.
They were wonderful to deal with throughout the process always had a live person answering the phone and helped navigate the home warranty process which is always a nightmare for these things.
It took a while longer than expected because of the warranty company but got through the process and the work and install of the new tankless water heater are great. I would certainly work with this company again.
This review is for the company as a whole. My home warranty company referred them for plumbing work, and due to some confusion from the tech combined with the way in which home warranty system inputs cases (they do not have the capacity to edit their reports), the request for (needed) service was declined. Jerry at Anytime Home Services was gracious and a good listener. After he heard the specific details, he agreed to return my trade-call fee. Within the week, I received a check from their company for my trade call fee. This business has the best interest of customers in mind regarding customer service. Thank you, and best wishes.
p.s. another company came out and the work *was* indeed eligible for coverage. The plumbing job is now complete.
John T.This is an updated review on 12/3/2018. Anytime Home Services really delivered on our water heater replacement under our American Home Warranty. Bre, CiCi, Danny (plumbing specialist), and Logan (plumbing installer) really helped to resolve our burst water heater. I have to admit, communication and persistence is the key when coordinating multiple in home plumbing repairs. We were also dealing with a homeowners insurance claim from the water damage the burst heated caused when it failed. Bre and CiCi took my initial calls, and CiCi gave me the news about realistic timing and deliveries versus my unrealistic expectations...thank you for your calming and patient tone when my wife and I were at Defcon 4. After fully understanding the home warranty/repair process, I was able to discuss options with Bre. Suffice to say, our water heater failed on a Tuesday, and we had hot water restored by Friday. Not the 24 hour service I expected, but again, be realistic when dealing with this stressful event. They aren't just sitting around waiting for your call, there are other clients in the queue. I impressed upon Bre the need for hot water (new jobs, in-laws visiting, etc.) and she was able to move some appointments around and get our install completed on Friday morning. This was in-between site evaluations, a water leak restoration company coming out and ripping our garage down to studs, installing de-humidifying fans, insurance inspector appointments...Anytime and their customer service team really helped us out. Logan and his assistant arrived as scheduled (a four hour window, with half hour courtesy call) and set to work installing the new 75 gallon heater. He worked quickly and efficiently, and completed the install in just over an hour. 75 minutes to be precise. We were fortunate that the water resto company had already removed the old water heater, which saved time. Normal removal/install timing is closer to 2 to 2.5 hours. To emphasize, after reading some of the Yelp reviews for Anytime we were skeptical, but read between the lines a little bit, and we were happy to discover that with a calmer head, and quick planning by Bre and her team, we were very pleased with the end result. Side note: we live in Cave Creek, and Anytime Home Services is in Gilbert. We probably would have chosen a plumbing service closer to home, which would have saved on some of the timing, but this is the company our home warranty assigned to us. We were very happy with how they treated us, followed up, and delivered hot water quicker than we expected. Thank you Anytime Home Services!!
Katie D.Denny was prompt and made sure I understood everything. He diagnosed the problem quickly and was very professional.
Great service!
To sum up Anytime Home Services: fraudulent, violent, unhygienic
On Nov. 24 2018, a plumber sent from American Home Shield warranty(outsourced plumber) was due to repair several items for a service request: laundry water valve, toilet, faucets. Despite the email record of my service request, he purportedly said the warranty company ordered him to diagnose the toilet only and intended to leave after skimming over the toilet a few seconds.
As he did not attend to the detail of my service order, I showed him the written service request, strongly urged him to look through the laundry water valve and other items. He barely pretended to snapshoot the valve with his phone.
Note.
Kidding that the plumber takes $75 service fee for nothing from the customer? Even, the high end local plumbers provide customers with the free but thorough courtesy inspection. When something found is repaired, they charge the repair cost to the customer thereafter.
A few minutes after I haggled with the plumber about why he diagnosed toilet only, he managed to begin inspecting the toilet leak. He spent almost 1 hour in disassembling/reassembling the toilet more than 5 times, not identifying the substantial cause of the toilet leaking.
I could sympathize that the plumber was stressful with finding the leak. However, he mumbled lots of inappropriate curses(f***, sh**) loudly in front of me for 1 hour. Thanks to him, I heard as many curses as I would hear several years, for 1 hour. Meanwhile, he asked sensitively if I recorded his violent, aggressive behavior by a cell phone. He was ironically concerned that his aggressiveness may have been footaged
Note.
Reputable contractors manage the background check of their employees strictly and train the employees the customer service consistently. Otherwise, can any customer get a threatening plumber into their houses in relief?
After all, the plumber failed to identify the reasons of toilet leak. Instead, he replaced entire parts of toilet including Flange, Wax rings,Gasket, Flapper, Fill valve, Flush Valve, Sealed shaft nut and bolts, waterline connector, etc.
Therefore, I called on him giving me a written diagnosis report of analyzing reasons of toilet leak. He turned down disclosing the report to me, providing no evidences to me. Furthermore, he reported to the warranty company his unscientific assumption that a kind of cleaning chemical dissolved the sealant and caused to leak water from the toilet without any clear evidences.
Note.
In order to make his illogical hypothesis plausible, the flapper, the fill valve or other parts with the same plastic materials should have been dissolved or damaged by a certain chemical at the same time. In fact, all of their conditions are secure. (Please, refer to a posted picture as my evidence)
Likewise, he reported the falseness of the laundry water valve to the warranty company, which was shortly commented above. According to his false report, I wrenched the water valve by tool, leading to the slight leak from the valve's faucet.
Previously, my two plumbers indicated the valve bonnet packings inside the faucets are worn out by time; they are too loose to shut off the water completely. my two plumbers kindly advised to repair the laundry water valve's leak along with my home warranty for cost saving.
Note.
Personally, I professionally engaged in auditing, fraud/forensic investigation. I understood that since this company, Anytime Home Services outsources with home warranty companies; the warranty companies pay commissions to this plumbing company, this company cannot but provide the -below par- service to the warranty customers.
But this case is too much!!! This company should stop committing fraudulent activities on the behalf of the warranty companies. I currently appealed to my warranty company to raise a second opinion. Depending on their final attitudes, I consider officially filing this dispute of this company to AZ Registrar of Contractors, Attorney General, or Maricopa County
Finally, I was very annoyed the plumber randomly washed his urine touched hands at my kitchen sink without asking me politely. He should have washed his dirty hands at guest bathroom. Does anybody enjoy cooking or eating foods under pooh or urine contaminated kitchen?
I like to question this company owner if she/he may be able to eat something by smelly night soils. Please, educate your employees some etiquette to wash hands at bathrooms after job is done or in the middle of the plumbing jobs. I could tolerate the plumber stained the doors' knobs with toilet's urine, while he came and went thru my house doors several times in order to bring in his plumbing tools from his van.
To following customers reading this review, it seems the hired marketing team distorted the review rating of this company. Don't believe the high positive rates about this company. In case that you use this company inevitably, Photo everything of before& after.
Abbawe 1 O.Crooks for a company. Stay away. I had this company assigned to me from First American Home Warranty to fix my garbage disposer. I looked at the yelp ratings and was happy to see the good rating. The technician showed up on time. He looked at the disposer and told me that it was installed on the wrong side sink. He also said that the drain pipe is slightly sloped and will need to be fixed. He wanted $400 that the warranty will not cover. I told him we wanted the disposer on the smaller sink and the pipe was there for 13 years with no problem.
I did not agree to the repairs and requested another contractor from the home warranty. The new contractor Lion's Den came looked at it and said they will need to get the part. They came back and installed the disposer no questions asked. I told him what Anytime said and wanted to charge and he cracked up laughing. He said the disposer is on the correct side of the sink and the pipe is installed correct slightly sloped to allow for water to drain.
