I started my company to spend extra time with my kids and to be able to bring them to and from school.
I have consistently managed side gigs even holding regular jobs for others. At one point, I juggled two regular jobs and a weekend job for extra income and I also operated a small grass cutting business that grew to the point that I focused myself to it exclusively. Subsequently, I relocated to Slidell and ended the lawn service. I attempted vending machines, but it didn't work out. I also ventured into automobile sales, but that wasn't successful. I did in truck driving for a few years up until my son was born, but I struggled with being gone so often. After that, I sold shrimp in the northwest region of Arkansas on alternate weekends throughout one shrimp season and did pretty well until the next season when there were several other vendors up there and I discovered I was going to have a daughter. Thus, I founded Anything Assembled. Then, people started asking if I could to perform more services and in 2 years, I renamed the name to Anything Fixed or Assembled.
