I started my venture for the purpose of having more time with my kids and so I could drop them to and from school.
I've always operated additional ventures even holding full time employment for others. Once, I balanced two full time roles and a part-time position during weekends and I also operated a modest lawn care operation that grew to the point that I focused myself to it full-time. After that, I moved to Slidell and closed the grass cutting operation. I attempted vending, but it wasn't successful. I also explored automobile sales, but that failed. I spent time in the trucking industry for a few years until my son was born, but I found it difficult to being absent so much. Subsequently, I distributed shrimp in Arkansas every other weekend throughout one shrimp season and did pretty well until the next season during which there were several other vendors up there and I discovered I was going to have a daughter. Thus, I launched Anything Assembled. After that, people began inquiring if I was able to perform additional work and after 2 years, I renamed the name to Anything Fixed or Assembled.
