I began my venture to have more time with my kids and to have the ability to take them to and from school.
I have consistently operated side businesses throughout holding regular employment for others. At one point, I balanced two full-time roles and a weekend job during weekends and I also ran a tiny lawn care business that grew to the point that I dedicated myself to it entirely. Then, I relocated to Slidell and sold the grass cutting operation. I attempted vending machines, but it didn't work out. Additionally, I ventured into vehicle sales, but that wasn't successful. I did in the trucking industry for a few years until my son was born, but I struggled with being gone so much. Then, I sold shrimp in northwest Arkansas bi-weekly throughout one shrimp season and did pretty well until the next season during which there were many other sellers up there and I learned I was going to have a daughter. That’s when, I started Anything Assembled. Then, people began wondering if I could to handle additional work and after 2 years, I rebranded the name to Anything Fixed or Assembled.
