I began this business to have more time with my children and to have the ability to take them to school.
I have consistently run side gigs even holding full time jobs for others. Once, I balanced 2 full time jobs and a part-time position for extra income and I also managed a tiny grass cutting operation that grew to the point that I committed myself to it exclusively. Subsequently, I transferred to Slidell and ended the lawn service. I tried snack machines, but it failed. Additionally, I tried automobile sales, but that wasn't successful. I worked as a truck driver for a few years before my son was born, but I struggled with being gone so frequently. Subsequently, I sold shrimp in northwest Arkansas bi-weekly during one shrimp season and was successful until the next season when there were half a dozen other suppliers up there and I found out I was going to have a daughter. Thus, I launched Anything Assembled. Then, people began inquiring if I could to do more services and after 2 years, I rebranded the name to Anything Fixed or Assembled.
