I began this business to spend additional time with my kids and to be able to bring them to and from school.
I've always managed side gigs even having full time positions for others. At one point, I managed 2 full time jobs and a secondary role for extra income and I also operated a small grass cutting operation that expanded to the point that I dedicated myself to it full-time. Then, I relocated to Slidell and closed the grass cutting operation. I attempted vending, but it failed. Additionally, I explored car sales, but that wasn't successful. I did in truck driving for a few years before my son was born, but I found it difficult to being gone so frequently. After that, I distributed shrimp in Arkansas on alternate weekends during one shrimp season and performed well until the next season when there came several other vendors up there and I discovered I was going to have a daughter. Thus, I started Anything Assembled. After that, people continued wondering if I was able to do more services and after 2 years, I renamed the name to Anything Fixed or Assembled.
