Our services extend to homes across the entire KC metro area. We aim is to put our homeowners first. Our name dates back to 1951 and Tony D'Agostino. Tony and his wife, Mayme started Anthony Plumbing in the early 1950s in the foundation of their family home in Prairie Village. As we grew, so did the clan, welcoming five sons to the team. Paul, the oldest son began in the company like many others, helping his father. In the year 1999, Paul took over as the only owner of Anthony Plumbing, Heating & Cooling. In 2007, he transferred ownership to Burbridge (former owner of Neal Harris) and Davis (former service manager of Neal Harris). Continuing the legacy, Anthony Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, & Electric is still known as the leading service provider in the Kansas City Metro, extending out to Lawrence.
Steve learned a great deal about the home service industry from his father, Ralph Burbridge. Ralph was the owner of Waldo Plumbing & Heating and then purchased Neal Harris Heating, AC & Plumbing in the year 1982 when it was a small operation with two people. Steve promised to elevate the business to new standards by providing superior service with “Experts You Can Trust with Your Home.”

Recommended Customer Reviews

I forgot to include this very important fact...
Once Anthony PHCE received the mold report, Tim West with Anthony PHCE held onto the results for 5 days before providing to us (he first reported the results to us, via telephone, stating that the counts were ""off the charts""). He then emailed us the full report that showed toxic levels in the room that flooded and in an adjoining room (per Nick Fink with Phoenix, only 3 areas were tested per the direction of Tim West at Anthony PHCE). Tim West (Anthony) and Nick Fink (Phoenix Restoration) also told my husband and I, on several occasions, that we were safe staying in our home...contrary to what was stated in the air quality/ mold report.
The ""Owner's"" response to some of my other reviews on other sites made a very random/general comment referencing my review as a ""misrepresentation"" without any further information/details. In addition, they directed me to talk to their insurance company? What???
I later added this addendum, and much like our requests to speak the owner via telephone, this too has gone unanswered:
""Owner"": You said my ""review is a misrepresentation of what happened.""
If you do not immediately remove the words quoted above, I will let a judge determine who is misrepresenting what.
Just so everyone knows who ""Owner"" is, are you:
STEVE BURBRIDGE?
An KC based employee of Anthony?
TurnPoint Services in Kentucky?
OMERS?
BlackArch Partners?
Who are you, ""Owner?""
*I do want to give a shout out to the tech (Matt) that came to fix the leak. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, an excellent communicator, honest, and empathetic to the situation. Many of the techs we have worked with in the past have also done a great job.
**Our beef is primarily with Anthony PHCE's upper management. We can only describe their behavior as deplorable. In my opinion, their actions and lack of action should be considered criminal (complaints have been filed with regulatory and prosecuting entities). I believe they knowingly endangered the health and safety of my family and pets, and compromised the integrity and value of our home.

With this could be 0.
Their technicians? They can be great. CAN.
How they run their business is absolutely terrible.
When you book an appointment with them. It's for a day. Not a time or even a window.
What this means is they can call you anytime between 7:30am and 5:30 pm and expect YOU THE CLIENT. To be available for them.
This is the most insane terrible service I have ever seen.
And they tell you ""don't change your schedule. We will give you a 30min call"".
Clearly none of them have ever worked before. If you call them up. Plan to be home and available from 7:30am - 6:30pm+ and all they give you is a 30min warning.
Just embarrassing how they operate.

Wish I could do a zero star. Just learned you installed a heater and ac system at my moms home for an ac that was leaking frion. She was so afraid something was broken or going to break that she went ahead and just pulled the trigger! It got installed real quick too! She clearly felt pressured and scared to not do it. It is highly unlikely she needed a full blown unit-but your scare tactic and commissioned tech made sure she ""knew"" she needed a new unit. They were relentless with her. And after the fact she told me she had a new unit installed -I was so confused and immediately responded with there is no way you needed a whole new system. She said I wish I could've talked to you guys about it first. But was afraid so I just got it taken care of.
People & companies that pray and push the elderly to make decisions quickly are nothing but awful in my book. If you have elderly parents warn them about Anthony before it's too late. Or make sure if they are using Anthony that you know or are aware of the service they are doing there.
I've heard awful things about Anthony from so many people but didn't think to say something to mom as I didn't even think this was something on her radar to have done.
Now I wish I would've have every time I heard people talking about the poor sales tactics, commissions and ability to always find something that needs fixed. Upselling at its finest-or shall I say lowest!!!!
So disgusted and disappointed!

Please DO NOT use this company. We had work done with them that seemed expensive but didn't get a second opinion. Then they came out for routine AC maintenance. The technician spoke only to my fiancé, who does not own the house, and didn't acknowledge me. He then told us that our AC was leaking coolant. He quoted $700 to ""fill it as a bandaid"" OR $600 to search for a leak plus either $3,500 or $4,500 plus labor to fix the coil plus ~$1000 to add more coolant. We had a second opinion out who said ""they're trying to rob you. There's nothing wrong with your AC"". AVOID THEM.

We have been loyal Anthony customers and ASAP members for many years and recently called to have our AC examined as it was not cooling the house. The technician and his apprentice came within 48 hours and we were told the freon was low and the dual action capacitor needed to be replaced. We agreed to the fix and after working for about 90 minutes the technician notified me that after he replaced the capacitor and turned electricity back on that the wiring began to melt and pop rendering the compressor useless.. a fix of (quoted on the spot) of $3000 . We were advised that the AC should be replaced as it was somewhat older (8years).. A salesman was sent shortly thereafter (same day) and quoted us a price of $11,800 for AC replacement but would kick in a ""free"" furnace due to the circumstances. Note: we did not need a new furnace. At that point we contacted two locally owned companies to get quotes as we were far from pleased at Anthony's response and at the likely error (crossing wires) which resulted in the damaged compressor, in addition to a house which was now 90 degrees. We decided to go with replacement with a local company and had the AC replaced by them a couple days later. After several phone calls to Anthony's seeking some compensation for their error and resultant damage they offered to replace our AC.. Which at this point was done. We would like some compensation for the ruined compressor but at this point we have been ghosted. So many great years of service has to end like this is a massive disappointment.

I would not trust the young man they sent out for plumbing issue. We have used Anthony for years. It will be the last time.

I had These people install a new AC unit and furnace in our home about 4 years ago. I requested that they leave the old units so that I could take them to salvage. They took them instead. I requested a serviceperson out to take a look at some wires that were hanging down from a vent in front of the furnace and asked why it was left in that condition. The service tech stated that he didn't install the units and could not be expected to understand the mindset of the individuals who installed the unit. That's not what I wanted to hear. I then asked about why the unit seem to no be blowing very well. He then stated that it could be the filter and that because it hadn't been changed the coil in the furnace is likely frozen. Back to the reason I called them out. I asked if there was anything he could do to correct the problem with the wiring. He stated that I would be charged for the removal of the wiring that should have been removed in the first place. I also found that when the installed the furnace, they removed the humidifier and left a gaping hole on one of the air heat or return vents. I then asked about my warranty. He stated the the warranty for a 6,500 dollar air conditioner and furnace only covered one year labor. and that to remove the wiring would require an additional charge. Needless to say I would never recommend this company for work on our home. If you can't trust them to do their work properly, how can you trust them with your keys? No thanks. And to add insult to injury, I was still charged 105.00 and the tech did nothing.

Do not hire this terrible company. Anthony ripped me off big time last week. Called Anthony because we used them for a quick and easy job that was still overpriced last winter and they conned us into their ASAP priority customer thing ($16/month for a kick in the jewels). So, I figured since we're already into them more than a hundred bucks for doing nothing they might treat me decent. Nope. Had a bad bath tub drain and needed them to put in a new faucet that I bought already (normally a $200 job, max). Nice guy shows up, screws around with the bath tub drain, takes it apart, throws it on the floor, leaves it there, installs the sink, and charges us $666. For some reason this dumbass thought this was funny so he got the price down to just under $600. For ripping up our bath tub, not putting it back together, then a very simple faucet install. Next day another guy comes over from Anthony. He looks at it for about an hour, calls some other plumbers who know more about this kind of thing, then gives me an insane quote that includes ripping out part of a ceiling and not replacing the drywall. So, add in a handy man or carpenter for that. I asked him to leave, then noticed he didn't put the drain back together. My daughter still needs yo shower in that tub that barely drains until I can find a better solution, but now I'm down a bunch of money for them their guys to screw around. I'm also paid by the billable hour, so just dealing with these people cost me an additional $400 while they were bugging me and not fixing anything while they were over. Do not hire these scammer clowns!!! Save yourself a trip charge and call an independent or small business recommended by a neighbor or reputable neighborhood online group. Don't let them steal from your family, too.

We had a plumbing inspection done yesterday by their technician, Brian Grace. He SAID he found a leak in a bathroom and showed me where the valve was missing and showed me the leak. He offered to fix it for $179 and I said no until my husband checked it out. I went to the house today (a rental) and the leak is now ruined the floor and is leaking through basement ceiling. The inspector DID THIs because there was no leakage until Brian Grace came over and ""inspected"". I called Anthony plumbing and they sent a field agent out and now he wants to charge &250+ to fix the problem that Brian caused. DON'T EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!!

Excellent Fast Service. Lavell was very professional and did a great job request him if yoiu need a water heater
