Call us at any hour. Anderson Plumbing, Heating and Air stands as San Diego's trusted service expert. With nearly 45 years of experience, we ensure every job is done right the first time. We guarantee 100% satisfaction. Learn why we assert, ""Nobody exceeds client expectations like we do"".
Anderson Plumbing, Heating & Air originated from four businesses owned by Mary Jean Anderson.
We celebrated our 40th year of serving San Diego in 2018. As part of our celebration, we enhanced our Anderson Random Acts of Plumbing, Heating & Air program. We gifted plumbing, heating, and air conditioning services and equipment to 40 randomly chosen residents in San Diego.
2017 saw the establishment of the Anderson Career Builder Institute. This initiative was a response to the nationwide shortage of skilled trade professionals.
We combined our companies in 2006, creating a unified and outstanding team. We focus on providing only the highest quality products while ensuring excellent customer service.
Mary Jean Anderson, our President, acquired her partner's share in Walter Anderson Plumbing in 2003. She has since added more businesses in the sector and welcomed experienced team members who continue to contribute.
Greetings!
My journey began as a nurse, and my caregiving nature drives my passion for exceptional customer service. I want you to feel assured that we will complete the job correctly the first time.
Having a service provider in your home can create doubts and inquiries. That’s why our technicians undergo thorough background checks, drug screenings, and personality assessments before hiring. Furthermore, all our technicians are licensed and have undergone fingerprinting with the state of California.
I am grateful for my family and coworkers. My husband, Bryan Rominger, leads the Anderson Career Builder Institute (ACBI) as President and also teaches as Headmaster. Kyle Anderson, my son, holds the position of Vice President and Strategic Operations Manager. My daughter, Kelly, manages our service operations as the Service Manager.
We are a family-owned business that values the safety, comfort, and investment of your home. We are grateful to our clients for letting us serve them, and we would be honored to earn your business.

I could not use there website to make an appointment. I tried twice, got text confirmations and no shows. When I called they said there scheduler was not working. I was in their system ... yet no one call me to confirm the appointment.
I remember seeing a high customer satisfaction rating. That must be AFTER you get the phone call.

Can't believe this business isn't 5 star. I've dealt with a lot of plumbers both work and home wise and they are top notch!
We had recommended them to my mom-in-law from praise from a co-worker who has used them many times including replumbing her whole old home sewer system 100+ years old. And she said they knew what they were doing, very professional and cleaned up so good; looked like they were never there.
Mom-in-law said the same about them from their visit to repair a leaking shower faucet.
Our backflow preventer cracked. If it would have blown, we'd have been without any water. They came that day and treated it like it was to us, an emergency.
(One of the few that do work on weekends too if needed. Also, they must stagger their shifts because they offer longer time options to come out to homes.)
They text a picture and info on the plumber coming so you know it's them who's at your door (my wife appreciated that since if she were home alone, she'd know it was them). They give you a link to show you where the service person is heading to your home and they showed up on the time they said.
The guy was very professional & top notch work. He had to come back the next day with better fitting parts, but got it back up for us to have water that day. Came the next day and finished it up perfectly.
Highly recommend their plumbing help!

I needed my drain cleared with short notice. Anderson had a technician out to address the issue within 2 hours. Michael (Technician) was super professional and pleasant. Good experience!

FAKE ONLINE SCHEDULING - I noticed they're one of the few that shows Google online scheduling in search results. Selected available date. I received emails confirming and automatically added to my Google calendar. On the day of service, they call to ""schedule"" me for 4 days later and refuse to acknowledge their FAKE GOOGLE SCHEDULING. This is no accident. Setting up Google scheduling takes time and effort. This is how they get people. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. Really screwed me over.

Fool me once, shame on you. I called yesterday and scheduled a plumber to come to my home and fix a clogged kitchen drain. They called this morning to confirm they would be here in about 90 minutes.
Five minutes later, I got a call from the original scheduler saying she made a mistake and that they did not provide services in my area. I THEN received a text from the plumber confirming he was on his way. Be aware that they seem not to have it together. Professionalism has escaped them.

Let me start by saying that I am a repeat customer of this business. I had them out about a year ago to snake a clogged bathroom sink drain under their ""$63 or it's free"" promotion. The technician came out, snaked the drain, restored the flow and was on his way in less than an hour - no biggie, and I paid $63.
Now a year later, the other bathroom sink drain is stopped, and I just received another customer flyer for this company promoting the ""$63 or it's free"" deal - perfect timing. So, I scheduled an appointment online and then called to confirm that I was asking for the $63 promotional service. The woman who answered the phone was able to locate my account, and then proceeded to ask me several irrelevant questions (how old is your house, (still in the same house) is the drain slow or stopped (a slow drain leads to a stopped drain otherwise I wouldn't be calling the plumber) and then proceeded to tell me that if the drain ""was only slow and not completely stopped"" I would have to pay a higher rate and they couldn't guarantee anything until the technician arrived? When I mentioned how silly all of this sounded I was told these are the ""new rules"" for this promotion. Sounds like a total scam to me, so I cancelled the appointment, told them to delete my files and I'm going to your biggest competitor (who still honors their promotions). Hey Mary Jean Anderson NOBODY SCAMS clients like you do! Unless that's your interpretation of a ""WOW"" because, well, just WOW (and not in a good way either).

PLUMBER NO SHOWED. I WAITED ALL DAY. I cancelled work appt and stayed home. Called in the am, was told that plumber would come between 9-5 pm same day. Friday 4/2/23 never came no callbacks.Still clogged bath drain.

I needed a shut off valve (under kitchen sink) and new flabber and valve for my toilet. I was shocked when I presented with a quote of $1,222. $719 to replace the flapper and valve! Really? I can purchase an entire new toilet for half the price! $447 for shut off valve. I did have the pleasure of having to pay $56, $49 trip fee and $7 gas, just to say thanks but no thanks. I've recently talked with Debbie in customer service. I'm trying to wrap my brain around the toilet price. Parts are $20 so $700 an hour? She just said we don't charge by the hour and that's our price and would guarantee it for 2 years. Big whoop! When I mentioned to the technician I was trying to support a woman owned business he says and I quote, ""Well you women are expensive"". Are you kidding me? Not only was I being ripped off but I was insulted at the same time. Beware Anderson Plumbing & Air is my suggestion. Victoria K.

Our kitchen hose for flow-through to the sewer system got clogged up causing so much stress to our garbage disposal it had to be replaced. Tim, the Anderson plumber, diagnosed the problems quickly, picked up a new garbage disposal, installed it and got everything working very efficiently and at a reasonable price.

There are lots of options for plumbers in San Diego. We hired Anderson Plumbing for a water leak after checking reviews. We have a 3 month old and wanted a quality plumber. We were told they would show up from 7am-12pm. We got a call around 10am from their team saying they were short staffed and had emergency jobs that were taking long and so it looked like we would be pushed into the later afternoon. GO WITH ANOTHER PLUMBER! Any good company will put their customers first, maybe ASI who wants to WOW their customers not rudely inconvience them. The fact they would call us to ""push"" our appointment block into the later afternoon rubbed us the wrong way, especially having a 3 month old and appointments to look at flooring replacement later in the afternoon. Anderson Plumbing - IF you have booked yourself enough jobs for the day, and you know you are short staffed, how about letting potential customers who need emergency jobs know that unfortunately you are unable to service them in that emergency and recommend a few other plumbers - There are plenty of good ones. Don't be so greedy and devaluing of your current customers who trusted you to service their job that you take on more than you can humanly do and then fail to provide care to your clients. It will destroy you and your reputation.
*Side note, after pushing them, they ended up getting a plumber out to us within the time frame we were told, but the fact we had to push for it, and that they thought it was okay to call us and push us to the later afternoon is not okay and for that reason, I highly recommend looking into one of the other plumbing companies servicing San Diego instead.
