The roots of Anderson Plumbing, Heating & Air trace back to four companies founded by Mary Jean Anderson.
2018 marked our 40th anniversary serving the San Diego community. To honor this occasion, we built upon our Anderson Random Acts of Plumbing, Heating & Air campaign. We provided 40 gifts of plumbing, heating, and air conditioning services and equipment at no charge to 40 randomly selected San Diego residents.
2017 saw the establishment of the Anderson Career Builder Institute. We created this program to address the critical shortage of qualified candidates in the skilled trades.
We combined our companies in 2006, creating a unified and outstanding team. Our commitment is to offer top-tier products and exceptional customer service.
In 2003, Mary Jean Anderson, our President, bought out her partner from Walter Anderson Plumbing. Since then, she has acquired additional businesses in the same field and integrated experienced personnel who remain part of our team.
Hi there!
I started my career in nursing, and my nurturing instincts fuel my dedication to outstanding customer service. I want you to rest easy knowing we will handle the job properly the first time.
Inviting a technician into your home can lead to uncertainty and questions. To address this, our technicians go through rigorous background checks, drug testing, and personality profiling before they join our team. Additionally, every one of our specialists holds a license and is fingerprinted with the state of California.
I appreciate my family and team members. My husband, Bryan Rominger, leads the Anderson Career Builder Institute (ACBI) as President and also teaches as Headmaster. My son, Kyle Anderson, is the Vice President and Strategic Operations Manager. My daughter, Kelly, manages our service operations as the Service Manager.
We are a family business dedicated to the safety, comfort, and investment in your home. We are thankful to our customers who allow us to serve them, and we would love the opportunity to earn your business.

Very expensive.
Not sure the service representative wanted to fix the problem or up sell another unit. Call another company and they found a clogged drain line and fixedthe problem.

I had their technician come to replace a kitchen faucet. They quoted $1250 to replace it (including the faucet itself) or $670 for labor if I got the faucet myself ($150). I had it fixed later in the day for $350 (including a new faucet). Their tech was professional and polite. I find their pricing outrageous though. I understand having the markup for the branding and uniforms, etc, but you can't be charging 4 times what the next highest quote is. I was so stressed about the kitchen faucet not working properly I almost agreed to pay $1250 till better sense prevailed.

Professional staff and follow-up. Had no issues with service call and will use again.

I really tried to use Anderson for an Air Conditioning problem. They sent a technician out and he provided an estimate. It required three phone calls to have a person talk to me about the estimate. After several additional calls to have an acknowledgement that the parts were available I could NOT get anyone to answer the phone to schedule the parts to be installed. I ask to have a supervisor call me three different times and when one did call several days later it was too late!!!!!! I had a different company complete the work at 10% of the cost estimate from Anderson and the Anderson technician had misdiagnosed the problem. I will never recommend Anderson to ANYONE.

Very happy with the services we received from Anderson Plumbing in North County. They helped us to diagnose a loud banging we were hearing in our piping and were able to correct the issue for us. I was very impressed with their expertise as they were able to troubleshoot and diagnose the issue in a matter of minutes. Other plumbers we called couldn't even figure out what the issue was! You can trust that Anderson Plumbing knows what they're doing. We especially enjoyed working with Julie, as she was easy to work with, honest, and reliable. Overall, we had a good experience.

I was in need of HVAC system retrofit. I have an older home that has old ducting, and an AC system that the previous guy used Dr. Frankenstein's methods to make it work. Everything needs to be taken out and redone.
I got an appointment and they made an account for me then sent out a technician to provide a quote. Joe Budzik showed up on my doorstep ontime. But this is where the quality ended. Joe first stated telling me I had a 2 tonne system, when I know it is 3 tonne. He went under my house to look over the system. He said he wanted to measure airflow so he could make sure we had the right sized system. I already knew I needed more return airflow, because the guys who flipped my house tiled over two of the returns. I had already cut a second one in, but I know we needed one more. Joe did not run the system. He got on the phone with someone at the office and emerged from under the house. He then said i needed a 3.5 tonne system and it needs to be a 95% efficient unit with variable speed fans. I know that system costs twice as much as a standard replacement. I already had one bid and that unit was included as an option. I said no! Then Joe told me a standard replacement unit would not pass code because of the transite (asbestos - cement) pipe with a double layer metal flue inside would not pass code/inspection. The 95% efficient unit is so efficient it has a pvc pipe that can just go through the wall. I said the transite with metal flue will pass code, because I already had a quote and I had my roof redone not long ago, and it all passed code! Then I said, I want two quotes, one for a complete replace with a standard furnace (80% efficient, no variable speed fan), AC unit and ducting, and a second which keeps the compressor/condenser unit I have. Then Joe said, ""Ok, you know... I'll just go."" and picked up his stuff and stormed out to his car. He gave me no quotes, he just wanted to sell me on the refit that would cost twice as much!
After Joe left, I went to City hall to check on the building codes... Just in case... after all, I don't want to end up with an install only to learn it needs a new flue. The city confirmed transite with double walled steel flue is acceptable.
Use Anderson if you want to be upsold, and pay a premium.

All I needed was to have my kitchen faucet replaced. I had already bought a new faucet.
I asked for an estimate on the phone but they wouldn't give me one; the technician had to come out to look at the job. I asked if there was a charge just to have someone come out. They told me it was $56.
The technician arrived on time. He took a look at the job and gave me the price: $619. Just to replace the faucet. That was it, and that's nuts.
I said no, paid the $56, and ushered the guy out the door.

Where do I start? Anderson's current motto is ""Let us whoa you."" My wife and I were in shock today during our meeting with an Anderson representative. Today's meeting was to get quotes for installing a new water heater and a water line for our fridge in a small kitchen. While the quote for the water heater job was about $1000 more than the company we eventually decided to go with, the biggest shocker was the quote we got for installing a simple water line that should've been about $150-$300. They quoted us about $2200 to install a water line. This is a simple DYI type install and they quoted a job that would cost more than a stove or a fridge. I can't believe they are fleecing people unaware of certain costs; Especially the elderly. They should be ashamed of themselves. And they are part of the BBB. Shame!

Andrew was very personable, professional, and knowledgeable. James, the drain specialist, was the same as well.

Quick to reply, showed up the next day and provided a quote. The guy was nice but the quote was astronomical. The guys doing the work have no flexibility in what they can quote, it's all piece by piece in their tablet with preset costs, just the ""install P trap"" portion was almost $700. Are you out of your mind? Pretty sure they are owned by a huge conglomerate...anywho....good luck
