Company Overview
Call us at any hour. Anderson Plumbing, Heating and Air is the most dependable service provider in El Cajon. For over 35 years, we have consistently completed jobs correctly on the first attempt. We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Whether you require drain cleaning or urgent AC repairs, we are ready to assist. Find out why we say, ""No one delights customers like we do"".
The roots of Anderson Plumbing, Heating & Air trace back to four companies founded by Mary Jean Anderson.
We celebrated our 40th year of serving San Diego in 2018. To commemorate this milestone, we expanded our Anderson Random Acts of Plumbing, Heating & Air initiative. We gifted plumbing, heating, and air conditioning services and equipment to 40 randomly chosen San Diego residents at no cost.
In 2017, we founded the Anderson Career Builder Institute. This was in response to the critical shortage of qualified candidates in the skilled trades.
We combined our companies in 2006, creating a cohesive team of professionals and certified technicians. We deliver only premium products and prioritize excellent customer service.
Mary Jean Anderson, our President, acquired her partner's share in Walter Anderson Plumbing in 2003. She has since added more businesses in the plumbing sector and welcomed experienced team members who continue to work with us.
Hello! Starting as a nurse, my caregiver instincts inspire my commitment to exceptional service. I want you to rest easy knowing we will handle the job properly the first time.
Hiring someone for your home can create uncertainty, which is why we conduct extensive background checks, drug tests, and personality evaluations on our technicians. All our technicians are licensed and have been fingerprinted in accordance with California state regulations.
I am thankful for my family and colleagues, including my husband Bryan Rominger, President of the Anderson Career Builder Institute (ACBI), Headmaster, and Instructor. My son Kyle Anderson serves as Vice President and Strategic Operations Manager, while my daughter Kelly is the Service Manager.
We are a family-owned business that values the safety, comfort, and investment of your home. We appreciate our customers for trusting us, and we look forward to the chance to earn your business.

We highly recommend Anderson Plumbing! We had a slab leak under one of the units in our small condo complex, (in 92105), that was costing us an extra $1000 a month in water bills!!! We needed emergency repairs, but we couldn't figure out where the water leak was coming from, so we hired a leak detection service to determine the place of the water breakage. Once the location was determined, the HOA got a couple of estimates from Anderson and another plumbing company. We decided to go with Anderson, only because the technician that came out, James P., seemed much more knowledgeable than the other guy from the other company we called. It seems we wasted $480 on the leak detection service, because Anderson Plumbing does their own leak detection and it's included in their service. Now we know for the future. We decided to have the hot water pipes re-routed out of the slab, as opposed digging out the slab and replacing it. James did a great job! He was very professional. He kept the work site very clean and finished within two days. The owner of the condo was very happy with the work that was done. Overall, we were very impressed with the workmanship and will definitely use them again when another incident occurs in our condo complex!!

I have to ask who was the Doctor that did
Mrs Anderson's facelift and whatever else? Wow good
job. Need a new picture on the truck.
Happy for her. Daughter is a doll adorable young
woman.

Our master bathroom shower pipe broke and I awoke to a flooded kitchen and garage. I called Anderson and they had someone out within the hour - They also, as a courtesy, called Apex Restoration and by the afternoon, the drying out and pulling down drywall had begun. I ended up needing a drain specialist and Anderson sent Bernard out ASAP. He was not only incredibly kind and friendly, but so knowledgable - knew exactly what to do to fix the issue and also (as long as our walls were completely open) recommended what needed to be repaired to our 20 yr old home so as to avoid issues in the future. I completely trusted him and felt like I was working with a family member. I was so thankful and VERY impressed by how quickly Anderson helped me and sent someone out. THANK YOU - saved me some nerves in a very stressful situation.

This is the second time I've used them. The first time they were really very professional. This time, they were unprofessional. I called for a leak that we were unable to find. The tech came in checked our water pressure and said it was way to high, we needed to replace the Pressure regulating valve at a whopping $1,000 as well as call in a leak detection company at $300. I canceled the appointment and called a different plumbing company. No need to change the regulating valve and the problem was solved with in five minutes. Never again will I use this company.

I made an appointment with Anderson after receiving their mail flyer for their $53 drain clean special. For the first time ever, I decided to schedule a proactive check on a sink that had a bad smell coming from it. Most of the time we call a plumbing service once something bad has happened and it is too late! The service tech, James B., was really nice, explained things patiently to me, and showed me some maintenance I could do myself to keep things running smoothly and smell better. Due to my positive experience I will call Anderson Plumbing again should a problem arise in the future. And it is virtually a guarantee that it will since I live in condos built in 1973 and there are frequent plumbing problems here. Thank you for the great service!

Great service... called on Tuesday am and they scheduled me for a drain cleaning the next day.Aziz did a great job, in and out in less than a hr and only charged $53... spent almost that amount on drain cleaner before I saw their ad! Highly recommed this company.

My plumber was Syn and he was one the best plumbers I've ever had visit my home. They called me after talking to the landlord and continued to call and keep me updated until the plumber arrived. Syn was super nice and respectful. He even waited patiently while my two year old finished her potty time. He also answered every question I had and gave me excellent advice on maintenance so I can prevent future problems. I will definitely use them again for my plumbing needs. Thanks Syn, I hope you read this. You provided great work and your customer service was superb! I pray your hard work is rewarded, you deserve it.

I am reposting this review as it appears it was removed.
Absolute crooks! I would never recommend or hire them again. I don't like even giving them one star!
They came out to inspect a plumbing issue and it turned out to be an issue with my septic system. After I had to dig out my septic lids, they spent zero time assessing and diagnosing the situation and wanted to charge me 3k to add a clean-out and inspect/scope and then another 17k to replace all of my leach lines. I made the mistake of letting them add the clean-out and they never actually tried to scope or repair.
After getting a second opinion from a septic expert, which Anderson is not, I was able to have the septic repaired at a fraction of the cost.
Anderson did lower their initial cost for the work they did, but I feel I still overpaid and they were looking to overcharge for everything they do. I don't mind paying for service and paying for quality service, but I don't feel I got either from Anderson!
UPDATE:
They did reach out to me and negotiate a price for the work they actually did. Two days later I got a bill that was almost twice as much as the negotiated price.
They are one of the most un-organized large companies I have every worked with.

I called Anderson to install a faucet in my house. I got the faucet at Costco for $140. The guy came, it took less than an hour and he charged me $400 with my ""Senior discount"". I was shocked, and was clearly taken advantage of. I asked him for my paperwork that came from my faucet that I purchased, and he said ""don't worry, I will put it on the invoice."" Well he took all my warranty info that I need to register online with. I called and got their ""answering service."" The guy took everything and never sent me back what I need. Now they took my money and disappeared. What crooks. Such a rip off for less than an hour's work. Be sure to ask before they come how much they will charge. They do not charge hourly they have their own book of prices and it is outrageous. CALL SOMEONE ELSE!!! I wish I did.

Made an appointment for 12-1pm. No call no show by 1:45pm so I called their number. Looks like they scheduled the wrong day and time. I will not be using their services but other providers instead.
