Mary Jean Anderson started Anderson Plumbing, Heating & Air from four separate businesses.

2018 marked our 40th anniversary serving the San Diego area. To honor this occasion, we enhanced our Anderson Random Acts of Plumbing, Heating & Air program. We provided 40 gifts of plumbing, heating, and air conditioning services and equipment at no charge to 40 randomly selected San Diego residents.

In 2017, we founded the Anderson Career Builder Institute. We created this program to address the urgent need for skilled workers in the trades.

In 2006, we merged our companies into one, establishing a remarkable team of certified technicians and professionals. We focus on providing only the highest quality products while ensuring exceptional customer service.

Mary Jean Anderson, our President, acquired her partner's share in Walter Anderson Plumbing in 2003. She has since added more businesses in the plumbing sector and welcomed experienced team members who continue to work with us.

Hi there! Starting as a nurse, my caregiver instincts inspire my commitment to exceptional service. I aim for you to have confidence that we will get the job done right on the first attempt.

Bringing someone into your home can raise many questions and concerns, which is why our technicians undergo thorough background checks, drug screenings, and personality assessments before hiring. All our technicians are licensed and have been fingerprinted in accordance with California state regulations.

I am grateful for my family and coworkers, especially my husband Bryan Rominger, the President of the Anderson Career Builder Institute (ACBI), who is also Headmaster and Instructor. My son Kyle Anderson is our Vice President and Strategic Operations Manager, and my daughter Kelly oversees service management.

We are a family-run company dedicated to the safety, comfort, and investment in your home. We are grateful to our clients for letting us serve them, and we would be honored to earn your trust.

We needed to replace the heat pump (heater and a/c) in our home We got estimates from several companies. The .Anderson representative, Erin, seemed knowledgeable and professional. She asked pertinent questions - whether the house had been remodeled, were we happy with the current system, etc. She spent almost an hour in our home. She sketched the floorplan, discussed various options for replacement and different vendors. She said that she would provide an estimate either by COB or the next day, and provided us with her cell phone number. That's the last we ever heard from her.
She never contacted us. We called her cell phone about three days after our meeting and a week or so later. Finally called the office two weeks after Erin's visit; they said they would escalate and we would get an estimate soon. Never got it. Two weeks later, I wrote a snail mail to Mary Jean. A couple of weeks after that, someone from Anderson called and asked if we had gotten our estimate, we had not. A coupel of weeks later, it came - $18K.
Aelott did it for one-third of that. Said there was no need to replace the ducting as Anderson had suggested - the present ducting is high quality and in perfect shape. The job took them one day and we highly recommend them.

We were canceled on last-minute by another HVAC company, and I called Anderson that evening to schedule our appointment. It was late, so they only had emergency-repair available (which we didn't want to pay for), but put me on the list to be called first thing in the morning.

We had been out of our house for over 6 days because of a flood from our HVAC unit AND we have 6 month old baby, and even though Anderson Plumbing was fully booked, they realized we were in a bind, so they scheduled an appointment for us, but ALSO put us on their waiting list for cancellations. They called me back within an hour, and scheduled us for the same day!!!

They also came out to our house, on-time I might add, and have managed to fix our AC unit AND provide a 5 year warranty for the repairs. I can't remember the name of the woman I spoke with on the phone who helped us, but she totally saved the day and really helped us out. I am SO thankful for her and for the dispatch team for figuring out their cancellations and managing to call us early. WE ARE SO APPRECIATIVE!!!

sorry to say no bueno anderson plumbing and havc. they sent out two agents that couldn't access the roof due to a short ladder. the second team came out quickly but gave me a line about not replacing the r22 unless they confirm there isn't a leak and tried to explain the difference between service and maintenance calls. they didn't want to do a maintenance today since their unit primarily does service calls and they have a lot of people to serve and are back logged. no work done no diagnosis no maintenance no service and four employees out to my address. wow

Called Anderson as a result of the ""Other"" company not being able to tend to our AC needs... Its been hot, and we had an annual service agreement with ""Other"" company who indicated to us that they could not come out for three weeks from the day I called and they also couldn't provide us any information on the phone to tell me how serious of a problem it was...

I called Anderson, the receptionist that I spoke with was professional, was willing to help me get on the schedule within 3 days(Called on a Friday and they were there on Monday). She also offered to connect me with their service manager who heard my issues and was able to tell me what the problem was most likely.

They came out, showed up very early within the window of time they quoted, and were able to fix the AC unit on the spot. It happened to be exactly what they prescribed to me on the phone. Of course they always find other work that ""Could"" be done, but I was very pleased to see that the additional work recommended was consistent with the ""Other"" company but for much less $. I didn't have the additional work done and I hope that doesn't come back to haunt me later, but the property is a rental and we just needed to take care of the current issue.

Just thought I would give them a shout out for providing a pleasureful service experience...

You should give your receptionist a raise if she is due, she did a great job providing outstanding customer service and was able to instantly gratify me with the information on the phone!

Watch out they're communication skills are lacking. My father needed his ac fixed, they came and looked at it and left promising to be back or at least call him back. Still haven't received a call back, nothing, no one. Guess they've got more important things to do. Taking our business elsewhere.

I had AC installed yesterday. John B., Junior, and Donnie were all extremely professional and courteous. We were told it was a one day job and the job was completed in one day.

We are very happy with Anderson, and while price was a motivating factor, we also chose them because of their employees. In fact, out of the 4 companies we quoted for service, John was the only one who ever followed up with us.

So far everything works great.

Please dont use this company. Our condo had bathroom sink issue. The Anderson plumber came out and couldnt figure out what it was. They wanted to cut into the pipes and asked for $400. We thought that sounded weird so we got a second opinion. Turned out to just need a quick dislodging and our second opinion charged us $40.
Our second opinion plumber told us Anderson charges a high premium so they can advertise a lot. Not sure how they got so many positive reviews. Would not recommend this company

Very impressed with Anderson's integrity for standing behind their products. We purchased a water heater 6 years ago and there was a problem with the installation, they fixed the problem at the time but I worried about the long term affect of the water heater. It went out just last week and they replaced it including the labor cost due to the previous error, even though the warranty on the labor had long expired. We have also purchased 2 furnaces and 2 air conditioners for the same home from them with no problems at all after 6 years. Had several other small jobs over the years with great results as well. Everyone can make a mistake, it's standing up and acknowledging the problem, and fixing it as well that counts.

You know, I hate to have to do this, but obviously companies must not give a sh*t about customer service, when they are given many opportunities to make a situation right, and they still don't. These guys installed a $10,800 heating & AC unit in my home a month ago. Not sure if it even works, haven't tried it out yet. They had to install ducting & vents, leaving holes in the plaster of my 1920s home. I have been calling them to come out & fix these holes, contacting them many times. They keep telling me that the dry wall guy will ""contact me tomorrow"". Tomorrow never comes. Today they said that they called me & left me a VM. I have no sign of either a missed call or a VM, & my phone is working fine. It's been a month now. Seriously, how hard is this?! Anderson, you are not ""making me smile"". And, I'm sure your employees feel like idiots having to recite that ridiculous slogan when they answer the phone.

*This was from over a year ago. I guess it never got posted.

I got bids from two companies to add air conditioning to my existing central heating system plus a mini split system for another part of my house. Westcoast Appliance Service quoted me $6270 for a 5-ton A/C installation and $5447 for the mini split. The company seems very professional and seems to have an excellent reputation, but those prices seemed a bit high. I then got a bid from Anderson Plumbing, Heating & Air. It came to $10,424 for the 5-ton A/C, and $9000 for the mini split. Anderson also gave me a quote for two wall natural gas furnaces that are already stubbed out: $6630. Bear in mind that a wall furnace at the Home Depot will run you about $500 and can be installed by one person in a day. I have no doubt that Anderson would do a first class job but at those prices they should throw in a couple first class round trip tickets to Paris.
