Recommended Customer Reviews

I took time off from work to address a damaged bathroom fixture. On day of the appointment, they called to inform me that a technician had not shown up, so they had to reschedule for the following Friday.
That Friday morning, they called us two hours before the appointment to say the team had no one available to fix my fixture, and asked if they could reschedule to the next week.
The situation cost me two lost days of wages without fixing the faucet. I cannot recommend Anchorage Plumbing & Heating.

I feel extremely satisfied with the quality of assistance, skill, and dedication demonstrated by the staff from Anchorage Plumbing & Heating!
Their staff prepare their trainees carefully, thoughtfully, and the workers performed such great work and were wonderful to engage with.
The care and especially the flexibility to look for solutions is such a relief for our family to experience the plumbers stay incredibly supportive given we have an antique and fairly problematic house.
They identified solutions to our water issues that turned out to be efficient and thoughtful, and the team resolved the problems!
Our family certainly will suggest this company to anyone we know. Thank you, so much.

I have been a customer of Anchorage Plumbing & Heating for over a decade, regularly relying on their services for my mother's home. Unfortunately, the last two service calls have been poor.
The first incident involved a delay; the technician arrived late due to a mix-up between their scheduler and the service team. The technician showed up hours late and was not clear about the requested work, which included a cleaning and inspection. During the call, the technician informed me that he could not proceed until several parts were replaced. None of the parts would have caused the system to be red-tagged. Keep in mind that they are our exclusive provider and had inspected the system just last season. We asked to schedule the necessary work at the earliest opportunity, which turned out to be three weeks later.
Now, three weeks later, I drove in from the Valley to meet the technician for the scheduled 9 a.m. appointment. Given their history of miscommunication, my wife called the day before to confirm the appointment. Moreover, I received a voicemail confirmation shortly after. Yet, we found ourselves waiting for over an hour when the phone rang. As expected, the technician had gone to another address and started a different job. He said he would come over when he could. It's hard to believe!
I sincerely hope this confusion does not affect the quality of their work. Over the years, they have been reliable. I'm not sure what has changed, but it does not seem to be for the better. Given all this, we are likely done with AP&H after this experience.

My husband and I purchased a new toilet for our home after extensive research. We were billed immediately, and it was delivered shortly to the Air Cargo for transport to our village.
Sadly, the bowl came broken, and the customer service agent was unfriendly and not helpful in arranging a replacement. They stated it was simply "our problem!"
In the end, we are down almost $1000.00 and yet without a toilet! Steer clear of wasting your time or money with them; the company are indifferent about customer service!
We believed this company would provide superior service, but what we encountered was unacceptable. It's regrettable that we have to deal with such issues.
In conclusion, I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable plumbing services. The company did not meet their promises, and I am disappointed about the entire experience.

I had top-notch service and swift response time to boiler issues on two different instances at two different locations, along with a couple of routine plumbing calls.
During both visits, I worked with multiple technicians, and every technician was courteous and efficient. They were willing to clarify the work they performed and the rationale, as well as the basics of the basic workings of the system.
Anchorage Plumbing & Heating does not rank as the cheapest in town, but the value is a fair return for your investment. There is a lack of necessity for a follow-up visit, and you receive a guarantee for parts and labor.

I obtained services from this plumbing company a few months ago and we were billed a premium for a temporary solution because we face the same issue we had before their service.
A few months back, I engaged this plumbing service and received a bill top dollar for a quick fix because the identical problem is back after their visit.
I had a visit with Anchorage Plumbing & Heating not long ago and the cost was a high price for a bandaid fix because we face the same issue we had before their service.
Not long ago, I sought services from Anchorage Plumbing & Heating and received a bill a premium for a quick fix because we are experiencing the same problem we had before their service.

I have engaged this plumbing company previously and regularly found satisfactory service with them. The technicians tend to be polite, on time, and knowledgeable.
Recently, I requested their service to service my furnace. Since I was moving, I wanted this done before I moved. The technician named Joe arrived and informed me he would perform an inspection.
I told him I had only requested the furnace cleaning and they were running a special, so I asked for that. He insisted otherwise, stating he would perform an evaluation.
I also asked him to replace the cap on the shut-off valve located behind my washer. He said he didn't have a cap, so he suggested replacing the entire valve. He failed to propose to find a cap to complete the job.
He said I needed to replace my garage heater (it was cracked) and my water heater because it had a gas leak and had a small leak on the top. He wanted to give me an estimate and when I informed him of my move, he requested the names of the new homeowners so he could reach out to them. It appeared he was focused on making a sale.
The cost for that "cleaning" and valve cover replacement was $230 total. An alternative plumber said he would have charged about $120. I felt overcharged.
I had another plumber come and repair the hot water heater for a small fee. He assured me it didn't require replacement. I had him replace the garage heater as well.
I reached out to Anchorage Plumbing & Heating and expressed my concerns to a manager. He promised to discuss the matter with Joe and return my call the following day. Now, 10 days have passed and I have not received any response. I'm not sure I trust Anchorage Plumbing and Heating.

As of today, July 27, 17 days after my last email requesting help with passing code, I am still without resolution. I will wait until I receive some form of response. I recommend that you exercise caution and perform your due diligence regarding this company. This email is from 20240710, and despite 17 days passing, I still have not received a reply to my emails. Below is the email:
Hello Dshea,
I hung up on Chris as he was saying that I kept changing my mind on what needed to be done. The requirements have remained unchanged since the beginning. Finish the work properly. Your team installed this boiler combination, and it has caused nothing but trouble over a straightforward issue. I have sent at least 20 emails in an attempt to resolve this problem. It started with the old flue being left in the eve in January by your tech's. I have included the image from 1/19/24. The old flue is still visible in the image. We communicated back and forth as your team was unable to finish the job in January because of snow, but you still asked for full payment.
Your invoice #44036634 states, "Bid to replace boiler and water heater with new high efficiency Navien Combi. This includes removal, haul away, installation, permit, and inspection." It was agreed that I would not pay the remaining 50% because the work was still unfinished. I would pay an additional 35% on top of the 50% deposit, making it 85% total, with the last 15% to be paid once the flue is repaired and the inspection is cleared. It was documented that we would wait for ANCPH to properly fix the flue and ensure it passes inspection.
As of yesterday, the inspection was performed AND failed per NIKLAS JACKSON of the Building Safety Division of the municipality. The flue is still in the same condition as it was installed by your company in January 2024.
In the last few months, your technicians have come out to address the subpar work. One visit was for the zone valve in the garage, and another was to fix the reversed thermostats between the first and second floors. I would turn on the First floor Thermostat and the 2nd floor would turn on and thus cook the upper floor.
Concerning the flue issue, your technicians indicated they would "cap" the bottom of the flue. I asked them what that means and specifically and asked, "If you cap the bottom, what happens to the rain that is falling in the top in the 10" hole that is there now?" Their response was an indifferent "I don't know," accompanied by a shrug. I then sent multiple emails out to you and Jeremy describing what the tech said and was proposing doing, and asking what will NOT flood my eve and living space.
After waiting 12 days for Jeremy to get back to me, he called and was quite brusque, making me feel like I was a bother. I told him the above and just wanted to know what was going to be done to avoid a tech coming out, wasting my, and ANCPH staff's time again and leaving my home susceptible to leakage. His reply was, "We aren't roofers."
I sent links to you and then to Jeremy in regards to 2 pieces at Lowes @ $9.98 each. Simple Flashing on the top and bottom. He offered my $100, then $250, then $500 to find a roofer to fix the flue issue. I told him to send me this and I would talk to my General Contractor and or a roofing company to see if it can be done for that amount, know what code is, and then get back to him with what I found out by my GC cost-wise. I am not familiar with the code requirements, nor should I be, but here I am attempting to understand your company's work.
Today, I received a call from Chris, and he displayed the same attitude as Jeremy regarding pressuring me to handle the work. The offer is now a $750 "discount" for me to find my own roofer to complete the work. The challenge is that I remain clueless about the code requirements, and Anchorage Plumbing & Heating is making it my duty to ensure compliance and pass inspection.
This means I would be accountable for the inspection and approval of your installation, which, given my past experiences with your company, makes me doubt it will be approved. Now, I am compelled to invest more time.
I recommend that Chris, my contractor, and I convene today, allowing Chris to instruct my GC on what would meet approval. My GC can complete the work for $750, which would be paid directly to them by Anchorage Plumbing & Heating instead of offering me a discount; I will pay the remaining 15% in full. Like I said, the client, myself, shouldn't be responsible and in the middle for someone else's work and passing inspection.
I can be there today with my GC; please specify a time. You can exchange contact information, and whatever is needed to facilitate payment to him, and I will settle your remaining bill the day after the inspection is cleared, as per our contract, allowing us to conclude this matter.
Should you choose to pursue legal action, such as collections against me, I will counter-file for substandard work and seek damages for the incomplete work and inspection failure caused by your company.
Please let me know how to pass code.

The heating system in our home failed, and Anchorage Plumbing & Heating scheduled us in within two days. They ordered the necessary parts immediately and had our furnace operational again.
The technician was professional, and the customer service was excellent. They arrived exactly when they said they would, and they communicated effectively throughout the process.
Overall, I was impressed with Anchorage Plumbing & Heating. They handled everything efficiently. I would suggest their services to anyone needing plumbing or heating assistance.

I highly regard their team. The team is straightforward and pleasant to engage. They don't overcharge for hours at an hourly rate.
A representative named Jared visited my home to assess a problematic pressure relief valve. He outlined the various levels of the needed work. He came back to complete the job. He could have easily told me I needed the high end, but he chose not to. He completed the required tasks. I saved a significant amount of money.
They have worked on my setup before and returned to look at something else for free. I really like them and strongly endorse this company.
