We have always used them but then they came out to fix our shower, took a look and left to get us a part and came back more than an our later that took 15 minutes to put in and charged us over $375.

I have used Anchorage Plumbing & Heating in the past and always had good luck with them. Plumbers are usually courteous, prompt and knowledgeable. Two weeks ago I had them out to clean my furnace. I was selling my house and wanted this done prior to moving. Plumber Joe came out and said he was doing an inspection. I told him I just requested the furnace be cleaned and they were running a special so I asked for that. He said no, he was going to do an inspection. I also asked him to replace a cap to the shut off valve behind my washer. He said he didn't have a cap so would replace the whole valve. He didn't even offer to go get a cap and replace it. He said I needed to replace my garage heater (it was cracked) and my hot water heater because it was leaking gas and had a small leak on the top. He wanted to give me an estimate and when I told him I was moving he wanted the names of the new owners so he could call them. Seemed he just wanted to sell me something. That ""cleaning"" and replacing the valve cover cost me $230. Another plumber told me he would have done the same thing for about $120. I felt I was ripped off. I had another plumber come and fix the hot water heater for a few bucks. He said it did not need to be replaced. I had him replace the garage heater as well. I called Anchorage Plumbing & Heating and spoke with a manager about my concerns. He said he would talk to Joe and get back with me the next day. It has now been 10 days and I haven't heard a word. I'm not sure I trust Anchorage Plumbing and Heating.

We really had a trying time with a different outfit in town that didn't show up for 4 months. When Anchorage Plumbing and Heating said they could help us out, we were grateful to just have any knowledgeable pro help with some maintenance. But it turned out to be far better than that. The same, friendly, thoughtful and knowledgeable man came out each time we needed both expert input and the ability to do the necessary work. And each time he remembered many details which saved time and showed care. We have been really happy with this company and would recommend them to anyone in town, including my parents.

I had some straightforward work that needed to be done and anticipated several hours of work. New kitchen faucet installation, bathroom faucet hook-up, and furnace maintenance. Two technicians were here and I assumed I would be charged an hourly rate from each of them. When all of the work was finished, it took half the time I was quoted and I was charged a very fair price. I was told the charge was what it would have taken for one person to complete job. I have only used Anchorage Plumbing and Heating as long as I've lived in the Anchorage area. I've always been pleased with their service. This is the first time I've needed their plumbing services.

Great service and fast response time to boiler problems on two different occasions at two different locations, and a couple of routine plumbing calls. I had different technicians every time and all were polite and efficient, and took the time to explain what they were doing and why, as well as the basics of the general operation of the system. This company isn't the cheapest in town but you get every dollar you pay for, there's no need for a repeat call and you get a parts and labor warranty.

I had Anchorage Plumbing and Heating perform a boiler and water heater upgrade. I think they did a fair job for a fair price, but......I've had nothing but problems with the Triangle Tube water heater. Lifetime guarantee right? I am on my third water heater in 8 years. APH said they would refund the expense of the third water heater within 30 days. I paid for the labor on all of the installs and reinstalls. Win/win situation for APH, not so much for me. So I pay APH in full, expecting a refund for the guaranteed water heater. Did not hear from them in 2 months, so I called them up. They said they'd get back to me. They did not. So I called them up again in a week. Tanya said she would check on it and call me back. This time she did call me back to tell me there would be no refund. I asked why, and she said Triangle Tube denied it. She put Jerry on the phone who is basically a real dick. Jerry says no refund. I told him I'd sue him in small claims court. He said to go ahead. And that is exactly what I am going to do. Do yourself a favor and hire a good company to do the work and one that makes good on their equipment guarantee(s). APH will not. I've been a customer of theirs for about 20 years. They've just lost a great customer that actually appreciated their work. Nothing will cripple a company more than when they start losing solid customers like us. Good bye and good luck APH.

Im a young home owner who doesn't know much about boilers so when mine broke I had no idea how to fix it and how much it was going to cost me. I was able to get a same day appointment with Anchorage Plumbing and Heating and the gentlemen were very nice while helping fix the problem. A few months later the same problem happened again and I was able to get another same day appointment. I told the very nice receptionist on the phone that it was the same problem and if I was still under a warranty. She told me the warranty was only for 90 days and I was a couple weeks over, which was fine. A few minutes later I get a call back from them and they said they will try to see what they could do with the warranty and give me a deal. The maintenance guy not only fixed my boiler, but showed me how to fix it myself if the problem were to occur again. When he was writing my receipt he told me that they were going to go ahead and put it under warranty. Thank you so much Anchorage Plumbing and Heating! Awesome customer service, and I never once felt they were taking advantage of me and my bill. I will continue to use your friendly business and refer to all of my friends!

Anchorage Plumbing and Heating is hit and miss. First time we had a plumber come from the company he was fantastic! We had a small boiler leak and air in the system making noise. Quick work and and low cost fix. Friendly and knowledgeable plumber. Next time we called for a problem with our in-floor heating in our garage. It was a 4-way valve replacement. It ended up being a special order so we waited for the part to come in and it was replaced. It ended up being expensive but when I looked up the cost of the valve we swallowed hard and paid the bill. The plumber was Mark and his helper. There wasn't work for two people so??? Then we had a problem with the boiler shutting down-no hot water, no heat. He came and made some adjustments that were not effective and had to be called back but he was thoughtful about the cost and recommended a possible fix at a low cost that actually worked. We were very happy as the other option was expensive- $500-1000. Next, the Boiler Mate(hot water heater) went down. We had it replace by a plumber friend. It took him ALONE about 2.5 hours. We were delighted. This time was our Amtrol Boiler Mate went down AGAIN! This is our 4th Boiler Mate hot water heater since 1999! Grrr! The last two times we had it replaced on warranty but the cost of labor and parts are not covered. Our disappointment came when Mark and his helper showed up (labor cost X 2 at $135 an hour). We went and picked up the unit so they didn't have to hopefully saving on cost. HAHA the joke was on us. At a cost of $675 labor it took the two guys 5 HOURS to take out the old one and put in the new one waiting for them in the next room. We have lost our faith in this company and MARK the plumber who needs a helper to do anything Mark doesn't want to do. In retrospect, I believe good honest plumbers work for this company but avoid Mark and his helper. Paying $135 an hour for a slow plumber and $135 an hour helper is stupid.

Scheduled an estimate for a bathroom remodel and water heater replacement. Guy showed up on time, but was rude and condescending. Waited nearly a week for a response, only to be told they were too busy for our project. Never again.
