I called in a repair to the Home Warranty company and they sent out Amigos Plumbing. My water heater was old and breaking down. The guys at Amigos diagnosed and ordered a replacement. They did the installation a few days later at my convenience. It was a difficult job with the water heater in the attic...also the unit was full of sediment and could not be easily drained. Al and Kurt of Amigos handled it professionally and quickly. Also fixed a problem with the venting of the water heater in the attic. Amigos plumbers were friendly and easy to work with..and now I have plenty of hot water...everything was done competently and by the warranty specifications. No surprises. Job well done by Amigos Plumbing.

I am big on reviews so when our home warranty people decided to send these guys out for a plumbing issue, I begged them to send someone else based on the horrible reviews. I really did. They said to call them back if I ran into any problems, and I was ready to at the sign of anything problematic.

I had not even a little hiccup with them.

I got a call back same day to be scheduled quickly. They sent out Colby who was the world's nicest, most polite plumber (and possibly polite service person ever.) He diagnosed our problem quickly and even though our lame home warranty company didn't cover the cost, he worked with us to bring the cost down because he was understanding. I was very indecisive about when to get the work done which sent him back and forth to his truck a few times, I'm an annoying customer sometimes like that. But he was understanding and ended up coming out the following week to fix our problem.

The problem is fixed perfectly, and he actually uncovered a leak we hadn't known about while fixing the original problem. Fixed that, and we expect to save lots on our water bill thanks to his quick and thorough work!

I have had several good experiences with them and then one bad experience that required insurance involvement due to a leak they accidentally caused. Though they didn't pay it in full I was impressed that they came through in helping cover most of my deductible to help me get the issue resolved. I would use them again in the future.

I called in a service request to my home warranty co last Tuesday. They told me that amigos plumbing would be assigned my ticket and I should get a call soon to schedule the repair. I got a call from Marie, amigos dispatcher, a little over an hour later. Marie told me it would be Friday afternoon before they could come to do the repairs. She also took time to ask me about the issues I was having and asked the brands of everything they were repairing so the tech could bring parts.

Friday rolls around an I call at lunch time to try and narrow my window down dispatch tells me that my tech is on his last appointment before mine and will call me when he is on his way.

An hour later I get a call from Colby to tell me he will be at my house in 15 minutes. I tell him that I will be there a quick as I can, I work 25 minutes away. He says not a problem see you soon.

When I get to the house I meet Colby, lead tech, and Jordan, his associate. They introduce themselves and come in. I had three items that needed to be repaired. They took the time to confirm all diagnosis, not just roll with what I told dispatch, one of the diagnosis confirmed that I was wrong about what needed to be repaired. They repaired all that was on the service ticket, cleaned up the work areas and even took time to discuss some questions I had about a diy project I was working on.

The entire experience with the amigos staff was outstanding.

I live near Austin, TX, and this company was selected by my warranty company, Home Warranty of America. After seeing the reviews I was a little concerned. I had one of the hot water heaters in our home start leaking and it's in the attic, so I didn't have much choice but to have someone come and look at it. The tech, John, responded within a few hours and said that it would need to be replaced. He submitted the quote and the warranty company told us they would cover all but about $150 in upgrades to bring it up to current code. Amigos came back the next day and completed the job in about 2 hours.

Everyone from the appointment desk to John and his helper were very polite and did a great job.

DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE INTO YOUR HOME!!!!!! They were referred to me by my home warranty company (Home Warranty of America) to resolve a clogged toilet issue. Supposed to show up between 2pm and 5pm, showed up around 5:15 pm. One of the techs damaged my hardwood floor and then they blamed it on my floor!!! Saying, you should be able to walk on a floor. They told me my toilet needed to be replaced and they would advise HWA of that. 2 days later they call HWA and tell them that it is a venting issue and the vent is on the roof. HWA advised me it is not covered. I told them that the techs told us it was the toilet which is covered. I even emailed the invoice from Amigos Plumbing that states it is the toilet. They call themselves Amigos Plumbing with the home warranty company) but the truck says A Dos Amigos Plumbing so I am reviewing them as A Dos Amigos Plumbing.

I have left several messages with their company about the damage to my floor, but no one has contacted me. These people are dishonest and unprofessional, they also tracked dirt and mud on my brand new carpet. I would not allow them back in my home for any reason! If your home warranty company wants to send these guys out, ask for another plumbing company. I did not have the time to look them up, but even if I did, I would not have found them under Amigos Plumbing. I would only send them to my worst enemy's home!!!

This company has been dispatched twice to our home through our home warranty. The first time they never called and the home warranty ended up sending out a different company. The second time was even worse. They came out and rushed me through explaining the issue. They obviously did not listen because instead of looking at the pipes inside, they went out back and blamed the septic tank before doing an inspection. Their minds were made up before they even arrived. The guy had the nerve to tell me, "I have been doing this for 40 years so I know it isn't in the house." They refused to look even though they were paid to be at the house. For a little back story, our septic system was cleaned and inspected less than 3 months ago by a very reputable company who has been servicing this home for 15 years. I don't think it's the septic system.
I told the plumber to keep his card, I didn't need it for future calls and he replied, "Every other plumber will tell you the same thing" as he walked out my door. Thanks for being a know it all and a mind reader!

I hope you check these reviews before you let them do your plumbing service. The warranty company sent them to repair my water heater. They sent an apprentice who announced the lower element was faulty, but he could not remove it. The unit, therefore, had to be replaced, and he said they would return to do that. He refilled the tank and left. We left town the next morning, and received a call from a neighbor that water was pouring from our house. Long story short, water was pouring from the element he tried to remove, and our house and belongings had extensive damage. They refused to provide the techs license numbers, and gave a wrong number for the Texas State Board of Plumbing examiners. I did get the correct number and have filed a complaint. Check them out on BBB. I have also complained to my warranty company, but I don't think they care. Home Warranty of America will not get any more of my business. 13 out of 21 reviews on here are very negative.

My hot water heater has stopped working properly so I contacted our home warranty, Old Republic. I was assigned A Dos Amigos Plumbing as a contractor. They did not call as they were supposed to so I contacted OR who then called them with me on the line. The girl told them that she had tried to call yesterday, but couldn't leave a message because our cell service was bad. No explanation as to why not call the house instead was given. This was all a lie. When I called them for myself and asked why she said that, she got all flustered and said she had tried to call and just got a buzz, but when I told her that was a lie, she said that the contractors always have that trouble when they're out. They didn't call me, she said she did. After a few mins of this she just said she'd cancel the appointment which had already been done by me earlier because I don't deal with liars!

The "office" for this company is in San Antonio. I live just off 1826 on the Travis/Hays county line. Why we were assigned them in the first place is beyond me. OR says it's because the contractor told them they said they serviced my area. Well, apparently they do when they feel like it!

Also, F rating with BBB. I've never seen one of those until today. I totally can understand why now.

I have unfortunately needed to call these folks a lot lately. Regardless of who they send out, I have had professional, on-time service every time. They always call ahead, which is also a plus.
