Amigos Mechanical Services solved our water flow issue after both Aqua and Culligan couldn't figure it out.
Danny quickly solved the problem by putting in extra effort to dig around the box and found a faulty valve that apparently everyone else was too lazy to dig up.
Instead of up-charging to do a bunch of unnecessary gimmicks or sell us a new system, he replaced the i expensive valve and was on his way.
It's such a relief to have our water working properly again, and to know there is a skilled, honest plumbing company. I will definitely use them in the future.

John from Amigos Pluming quickly and correctly diagnosed our sink leak as a problem with the faucet. He took care of ordering the new faucet for us. Once the new faucet arrived, he came back and installed it. John is very courteous and professional. Would definitely recommend him and Amigos Plumbing for any plumbing issues.

Amigos Plumbing installed 2 separate 50 gallon hot water heaters in the attic of our home in Spring Branch. They showed up on time, were VERY polite and professional. We were VERY impresses!!!!

So funny story. I hadn't needed to use my Home Warranty until this past week. My contract with them expires next month (which will not be getting my renewal). My water heater pilot stopped working. So I contact them, they ask what make/model of heater, then they connect me to this plumber that (as it turns out) doesn't have the part. Amigos Plumbing orders the part (over speaker - both acknowledge for an overnight delivery) and three days later - no part. Thus, no hot water. What does the Amigos Plumbing have to say about it? Pretty much "oh well, you're stuck". Also the telltale line crappy customer service uses (from a manager of all people): "What do you want us to do about it?" /boggle Really?

SInce they took the pilot assembly with them, they're right - I'm stuck. Bottom line, I should one star myself for just not doing it myself. I doubt the assembly needed replacing, but we'll never know because I don't have positive control over the part anymore.

I had a car mechanic and an older Suburban. If they didn't have the part, they contacted nearby parts stores and other mechanics and bought the part from them. I guess they can't bring themselves to look around...or even call the manufacturer and get on their case for failing to deliver on the promised time. Just..."Oh well".

Filed a claim with my home warranty and they were on top of it from the minute it was reported to them. I received a phone call almost immediately after hanging up with the warranty company. They asked me a couple questions about what was going on and the next day they showed up and replaced my garbage disposal immediately. They were very friendly and professional. The overall visit took about 30 minutes and the kitchen was back up and running as if it never even happened. I would recommend amigos Plumbing as a place to get your plumbing needs serviced

There's nothing more disappointing than a business that doesn't take responsibility for their actions. Unfortunately for us, we found this out the hard way about Amigos Plumbing in October 2018. For the past 2 years, Amigos Plumbing had done several minor repairs at our 2 rental properties through our warranty company. Their work and customer service was just okay, nothing to write home about. In some instances, our tenants complained that their techs always left a mess, had to come back multiple times just to finish the job, and sometimes just did nothing during a service call or seemed like they were inexperienced. We let all that go because at the end of the day, they got the job done and for the most part, our warranty paid. One good thing I can say is that their techs were always courteous. That's not enough to be a good business, though.

Our latest repair with them was for failing shower/tub valves on 2 bathrooms on the second floor. They had 2 techs come on Oct 3, 2018 Wednesday. They informed us that they will need access through drywall, will have to submit the work order to warranty and come back another time. The next day, warranty calls us. We do our part and confirm to them that we approve of the work order. Now, before Amigos came over on Wednesday, the valves were showing signs of leaking but nothing that was causing noticeable water damage. Three days pass and on Sunday, our tenant informs us that the leak has spread onto the first floor ceiling and caused the ceiling drywall to become soaked and discolored, like wet cardboard. It was now a full-on leak.

As confirmed by someone at Amigos who was speaking with my husband after this took place, it's leaking because the valves were removed and they needed approval before they could install new ones. The VALVES WERE REMOVED AND LEFT TO LEAK OVER THE WEEKEND. They initially came in on Wednesday, we approved the work with warranty on Thursday, and they should have come back on Friday to do the work but did not. IT'S FOUR DAYS LATER AND WE'RE LOOKING AT A BIG LEAK AND MAJOR WATER DAMAGE. We were not aware that they had removed the valves nor was anyone advised on whether the water main should be shut off. Had we known they removed the valves but couldn't do the work, we would have just declined warranty and paid for someone else to do it asap. Because of this, WE HAVE HAD TO SPEND $3,700 TO RIP OUT DRYWALL, DRY THE SOAKED FLOORING AND CEILING, AND REPLACE THE VALVES. WE HAVEN'T EVEN PUT THE DRY WALL BACK UP.

Amigos Plumbing, our warranty company, and my husband had some back-and-forth but in the end, we didn't feel that they nor the warranty company took any kind of responsibility for the damage caused through negligence. We were not looking to have them pay for the damages--just some responsibility for their negligence and some willingness to work with us to fix at least the very thing they were supposed to fix.

At the time this latest incident occurred, they've already had our business for 2 years. Needless to say they have lost our business. It's a shame because based on recent reviews, it looks like they have turned their business around from prior years when they had really horrible reviews. It sounds like they do a good job on minor issues. But for bigger ones, do yourself a favor and look for a more responsible and reliable plumber.

This is the second time we use amigo plumbing and each time they have given us a 3 hour time frame and always end up getting here 20 minutes after the fact. I'm tired of them telling me to wave home from 11-2 and not getting here till 2:20. Why can't they just tell me that they'll be here at 2 if that's the case? So tired of wasting my time

Amigos Plumbing was dispatched by our home buyers insurance. Maria gave us a call and let us know the time frame for their technician to arrive. Anthony arrived on time and went right to work. Within 15 min. we had our estimate. 2 days later Anthony and Jordan showed up as scheduled and installed the new water heater. Once again they swiftly went to work and finished the job in a very timely manner. I can only recommend Amigos Plumbing, especially Anthony and Jordan. They arrived on time, used floor protection not to damage the hardwood, worked fast and left a high quality job.
Well done and Thank you

Amigos plumbing is in the Austin area. Don't let the area code fool you.

They have a great office staff. Communicated appt time and date perfectly. Jordan was right on time.
This was a Home Shield warranty claim on a LP water heater with an in-service date of 1996. That's pretty old.

Jordan, the Plumber, went over all of my options very clearly. We talked about a new unit replacement, and the need to bring it up to code if I went that route. We discussed getting just a part replaced if he found the issue and how due to the age of the WH, he'd work hard to get it but it might be a few days I mentioned that I might be interested in switching to tankless and asked for his opinion.

Jordan gave me an honest opinion of the headaches of tankless and the need for having a water softener to treat the water before going tankless, or no mfg would honor the warranty due to Texas' hard water.

I've consulted several tankless installers and none of them ever mentioned that. They all said the I could DIY the calcification/lime using vinegar and a garden hose, or they could do it for $200.

Jordan didn't try to upsell me. I told him I'd like to fix the one I have. He said he was going to take a look at it and see what was failing. I went back inside.

Fifteen minutes later Jordan rang the bell and told me he did a factory reset to clear the LP line and it was fixed but he wanted to test it. He asked me to run the hot water so he could make sure the burner would turn off and on and it did. Problem solved. Thanks Jordan!

The take away here is that honesty is the most precious commodity I know of. It is rare, and therefore ought to be declared when it is found. I didn't get the run around. I didn't get the up-sell. I recieved honest good service.

You might not be as lucky as I apparently am and have a 1996 water heater that just needed a few buttons and knobs turned. However, Jordan's honesty made that a possibility. He could have taken some part numbers down and left me high and dry and cold. Instead, he diagnosed the issue, fixed it, and tested it, and gave me good advice on my tankless dreams. FYI- I've looked and there are tons of complaints about tankless systems of all brands due to hard water.

I will be calling Amigo's Plumbing and requesting Jordan if I have plumbing needs in the future.
